Well known for her natural wonders, including waterfalls, white sand beaches and a dormant volcano -- South Korea's highest mountain -- at the center of the island, Jeju is listed as one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature in 2011. The conference was held at Lotte Hotel Jeju, a sprawling hotel and resort sanctuary with spectacular view of the charming gardens beside the East China Sea. This year s conference, similar to previous years, provided delegates with great opportunities for interactions and networking with fellow participants. However, this conference is extra special as 2018 marks Globelink s 30 years of establishment.
CWT incorporated in 1988, is one of the leading neutral Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier (NVOCC) operators. Originating from Singapore, we have since expanded our footprints to cover most of Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East and Central America. We currently have a network of 113 offices in 31 countries, and together with our Global Consolidator Alliance (GCA) members, we ship customer s cargo to over 200 ports reaching 1600 destination worldwide. The annual event provides a good platform for the delegates to engage in one-to-one meetings to discuss business development. And this year being a special year for apart from the usual meeting discussions and networking activities, there was a series of interesting events specially planned out on a daily basis to commemorate this important milestone. There was a special arrangement made to capture a 30 th anniversary birthday photo from an aerial drone where all delegates stood to form the number 30! We also decided to get a little creative and staged our very own Mannequin Challenge and slow motion video! This successful impromptu arrangement was an unconventional way to bring team work to life and the whole activity was definitely a fun and engaging one. It is also a good showcase of our network working together to deliver the best services for customers. Together, we are Primed to Perform!
Offices and agents from all over the world contributed birthday greeting cards with personalized messages as well as creative videos of them singing the Happy Birthday song in their local language. A compilation of the videos were played during the Conference and it was indeed heartening to see the efforts put in by everyone in the making of the videos. In line with Globelink celebrating our 30th anniversary this year since our establishment in 1988, the theme for the gala dinner on the last night of Conference was The 80s where we invited all delegates to revive the good old days and turn up in their best 80s outfits. The '80s were a heyday of pop culture icons with the apparel leaning towards being bright and shiny, and our delegates came dressed in accordance to this theme. And this year, we have both our offices and partners putting up performances, to the delight of all our delegates, as evident from the loud cheering and applause from the audience!
Another highlight of this year is the creation of the Globelink's Time Capsule, where offices and agents contributed items of significant importance that represent the relationship with Globelink to be placed in a box. It was then sealed and to be reopened in a decade s time to rejoice the special memories collected in Jeju. We are proud to have come so far, having adapted and thrived in this evolving industry for 30 years. SHENZHEN Here s to 30 more years and beyond!
Globelink Ünimar Received Best International Sea Freight (Forwarder) Award at Atlas Logistics Awards We are proud to announce that Globelink Ünimar Logistics was awarded in Best International Sea Freight (Forwarder) category on 15th November at the Atlas Logistics 2018 Awards, which was held for the ninth time this year as part of the Logitrans International Transport Logistics Exhibition. The event brought together leading companies from across the logistics sector and the awards ceremony served to recognize both successful companies as well as the leaders of the logistics industry. This award is a testimony of Globelink Ünimar s consistent outstanding performance. On behalf of our Group, we would like to extend our heartiest congratulations to Globelink Ünimar!
