WAIKATO ULYSSES CLUB AGM MINUTES OF MEETING HELD ON 5th May 2014 at Commerce Club Hamilton Rowena opened the meeting at 7.34 pm & welcomed approx 45 members & prospective members. APOLOGIES Chris Hattan, Gillian Bigham, David Coy, Peter Jenkins Moved by Rowena Smith 6890 seconded by Lou Brown 5442 CO-ORDINATOR S REPORT It gives me great pleasure to give my first report as coordinator of the Waikato Branch of the Ulysses Club of NZ Thanks to all my committee for their hard work and loyalty over the past year and all members who have helped lead rides and organize events. Also, thanks to Honda Hamilton for their ongoing support to our branch. It s been a year of highs and lows for the branch some of which were the 12 point challenge and social evening, Jim s spud competition, the great over-nighters making it possible for members to get to know each other better, a very well run CCF Toy Run and great Sunday rides that Phil has overseen. I hope we keep building on this for the coming year. I apologize for not attending as many branch rides as I would like, but it has taken me a little bit to get my head around dealing with my health issues but at the end of the day life goes on and I have found my new norm. Comment from Bruce Turner that when he joined up, runs always started from Founders and believes it good practice and helps with pending members, it works well having a common starting point. Turk announced Waikato Branch will be hosting the national AGM 2019 thinking caps on for ideas e.g. subcommittee setup for this event.
