Mike Schmitz Well, our National muster is over and if you didn't make it you missed a good one. The town of Mineola went all out of the way to support the muster. The local bank even covered the green fees for the Duffer's. Hopefully you'll make Virginia. The NOMADS added over 20 new members during the muster and I'd like to welcome all the new members. I've said it may times, NOMADS is a unique chapter. Some of us are fulltimers, one half time and many just occasionally. Regardless of where you fit in we all enjoy rving and visiting members. Many of our members use the roster while in an area to possibly have a mini muster or get information on the local area. That's why we're Nomads. Cheryl and I will have limited travel over the next quarter. When we left the Muster we went up the Natchez Trace to Cherokee NC and a little trout fishing. After that we are heading to Keeton Beach for a little Hurricane Michael relief. Then home. For the

Holidays we'll fly to different locations. granddaughter and me to Pittsburgh. Cheryl to England to see the new I hope all members keep safe and have a great holidays Michael Schmitz, President Secretary/ Treasurer... Nomads 2018 Fall Travel Plans The purpose of this section is so we can connect more easily with one another when we are traveling. Have fun! Be Safe and have a mini-muster when you can! Jon and Nancy Katin agree, the 35th National Muster held in Mineola was among the best National musters ever that we have attended. We are now heading to Fort Sam Famcamp for a week to unwind a little and then to Fredricksburg, TX to join the Alamo Smarts for their fish fry muster - looking forward to it. Then to San Diego to join So Cal Smarts for their muster before heading to Menifee, CA for 3 weeks at Wilderness Lakes (TTN). In November, we store the motorhome and go back to our home in Oregon for 7 weeks to be with kids and grandkids for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Then, back to Menifee for 3 weeks before going to Quartzsite, Arizona and a month - somewhere. The last 2 weeks of March it s off to Puerto Penasco, Mexico on the northern edge of the Sea of Cortez and return to Arizona in April for the SW Smart regional muster. Busy busy busy... Carl and Nan Hudley have to agree that the National was enjoyable and it was nice catching up with old friends and making new friends. Sorry we had to forego the Post Muster. The Hundley s will be at South Llano State Park in Junction December- February. Anyone traveling east or west on I-10 is invited to stop in for a visit. John and Debi Shore plans are:

October: Albuquerque! November: OK first 2 weeks (home) then to SOCAL second 2 weeks December: SOCAL first 2 weeks (we have grandkids there) then back to OK. Hope you had a good trip home or to the post-muster. We will shoot for that next year. Joanne Harnit On way to AZ 2 Oct, and Will head to Pahrump and Death Valley, 22 Oct to 11 Nov, to attend 49ers Days with SKP SOLOS. Then will go to Yuma. See you at Indio FMCA RALLY or Quartzsite in January 2019. Wish all well!!! Hugs Dick & Pat Tracy will be taking their RV to their lot in Frostproof, FL in October in time for their return to PA in November where Dick will undergo a total right knee replacement that will keep them sidelined for the remainder of the year. Ed Adams and Michele Harmon Our travel plans for this fall/winter doesn't involve our RV. We are heading to Disney World immediately then heading out to Vegas over Halloween before taking a Caribbean cruise the last week of November and first week of December. Paul & Jean Rider Other than a couple of 2-day ers with our small local Winnebago group, we will be sticking around East Texas through the Fall months until heading to Alabama in early December to be with our children & g-kids for Christmas & New Year s. You may have seen what you want to of the Tyler area for now, but we have space & electric/water hookup for visitors if anyone is passing through the Tyler area and wants to drop by for a few days. We are about 20 miles South of I-20. Doug and Lila Blaha are back home in Virginia after the post muster and expect to enjoy family and friends through the holidays. We have a grand daughter s Bat Mitzvah and our first Great grandson arriving to look forward to. We re making 2019 plans and reservations to attend several Regional Musters in April and May. Gene-O- Bennett The Capital Campers Chapter and NERD will be at the Bethpage RV Resort on Thursday, 1 November, to do a walk-through of the Campground and plan for the 2019 National. Should you find yourself in the area during that time, come on by and join us. All suggestions will be entertained. A good time was had at Mineola and the highlight for Sharon and me was the ABAM and Rambo. The weather was very nice considering we were in Texas, in September, camping out. Our next outing is planned for the 26-27-28 th of October at the KOA at Harper s Ferry, WV.

The Preuits are sponsoring a Chili Cook-off and so far they have about two dozen entries. Should be spicy good. Glen and Shirley Foust were unable to attend the chapter muster due to problems with our motor home. We instead left home early for the National Muster, and spent four days in Forest City Iowa at the Winnebago factory getting the motor home fixed. We left there and headed for Mineola Texas for the SMART National Muster. We really enjoyed our time there as first timers. We hope to attend more in the future. We left Mineola and headed for Albuquerque and the SMART AIBF Caravan. This is a great caravan, the balloons are fantastic, and we have had several tours that have been great. As I write this we have a week left with the caravan. After it is over we will head for our winter campground in Salome Arizona. Melody and Paul Thomas We so enjoyed the National Muster at Mineola and the post-muster afterward in Bullard. If you didn't see the picture of all of us spelling out the word SMART at the National Muster, go online and take a look. That was fun. After all the activities, we took some downtime to attend to housekeeping duties (dentist, veterinarian, banking, etc.). The plan is to spend the winter down here in Texas exploring the state. Once we finish up here we will be headed south. First stop will be in Livingston to see how the Escapees handle all that mail they forward to us. Then it s down to the coast to explore Galveston, Corpus Christi and the Gulf coast. Austin and San Antonio are both on the hit list, too. After that who knows? That s what fulltiming is all about. We wish everyone a great holiday season. Be safe in your travels. Take time to hug the people you love and let them know they are important to you. Life is too short. From Your Editor Thank Ya'll for your inputs. I can easily input Word.doc and.jpg but can't input.pdfs. To include a pdf document I have to screen print it to an image and the quality is never as good. Your photos are always welcome as well as good cartoons. Next issue will be January 2019. Doug
