Managing our Finances The City s tax rate remained unchanged at $0.708244 this year; The FY 18-19 Budget includes personnel additions in Public Safety, Public Works and Municipal Court. The FY 18-19 Budget includes over $1.4 million for road rehabilitation projects in addition to $325,000 for routine maintenance (potholes, etc.). Public Health & Safety Approved three new Fire Fighters and a Fire Inspector position in the FY 18-19 Fire Department Budget. Approved four new Police Officers and two new Sergeant positions for the FY18-19 Budget. Approved two new School Resource Officer (SRO) positions, which brings the total to seven officers jointly funded with MISD. Approved two new 9-1-1 Dispatcher positions and a Municipal Court Clerk.
