After Sept. 24 the fee increases to $29 per Scout and $5 per adult. Invited Arrow of Light guests (4 th & 5 th grade) and their parents are no charge to the troop. Arrow of Light Scouts must be sponsored by a troop. All registrations must be paid in full by Friday check-in for any last minute additions. Check is made out to Patriots Path Council, BSA. The unit will not receive its Camporee patches if not paid in full. Fall Boy Scout Camporee Full reservation and payment. Location Winnebago Scout Reservation 102 Timberbrook Road Rockaway, N.J 07866 Parking Parking is permitted in the designated parking area. Cars will not be allowed up to the campsites. Parking trailers at camp sites is permitted and should arrive on Friday night. All vehicles should be locked when unattended. Check-in Friday evening 5:30 pm 8:30 pm and Saturday 7:30 am 8:30 am. The adult leader in charge and the SPL checks in at the camporee headquarters. Please have your completed 2016 Fall Camporee Roster at check-in. The roster is page 9 of this packet. An electronic version is available on the registration site. Units are encouraged to arrive on Friday evening. Out of council units attending a Patriots Path Council camp must present an approved tour plan at check-in. Camporee Uniform Scouts should dress for the weather and the activities. In other words, they should be comfortable. The field uniform will be required for the closing ceremony on Sunday. Patrols This is a patrol activity. To avoid backups at certain stations a schedule will be provided. The schedules will be handed out at the cracker-barrel meeting at the Dining Hall, Friday at 9:30pm Troop Station Help Adults and senior Scouts may be needed to man some of the activity areas. Please let us know, in advance if possible, how many volunteers your unit can provide. Lodging This is primarily a tent event. Each unit will be assigned a campsite after they register. Cabins are available for a fee of $90 - $216 depending on the size and amenities of the cabin. Cabin requests are made to Gary Treubig gtbsa@optonline.net. SPECIAL OFFER TO SENIOR UNIT LEADERS: If you do not wish to sleep in a tent you can rent a bunk in a staff cabin for $10 for two nights. Little Mahee Cabin $90 Sleeps: 10 Contains: Wood stove, table with benches, electricity Winnebago Cabin $108 Sleeps: 12 Contains: Wood stove, table and chairs, electricity Kiwanis Cabin $162 Sleeps: 18 Contains: Wood stove, electric cooking stove, stainless sink & counter, refrigerator, table and benches, electricity, running water from April 15 October 15. 3

Wink Dousa Cabin Sleeps: 20 Contains: Wood stove, table and benches, electricity Winter Lodge $216 Sleeps: 24 Contains: Central dining/activity area, wood stove, dining table, two sleeping areas, kitchen area, electric 4-burner stove, refrigerator, electricity, running water from April 15 October 15. Meals Lunch will be provided with a choice of hamburger, hot dog or veggie burger with chips and a drink. All other meals, for Scouts and adults, are the responsibility of the troop. The cost of lunch is included in the registration fee and will be served 11 am 1 pm. Your patrols will be scheduled to a specific lunch time. Bears! Yes, there are bears in Winnebago. Please prepare your Scouts to take the necessary precautions. First Aid A first aid crew will be available to tend to any injuries or illnesses. The Pinewood Derby Race Derby tracks will be set up at one of the stations. All Scouts are invited to bring a car to race. It can be his best entry when he was a Cub Scouts or he can build a new one. It must be built ahead of time. Keep the cars to the size and shape of the original block so it will fit on the track. We are removing the weight restriction. They can make it as fast as they want, just NO PROPULSION. Shooting Sports Competition At the end of the day there will be competitions at Rifle, Archery, Knife Throwing and Tomahawks. Each patrol will be allowed to form a four-man team to compete in Rifle, Knives and Tomahawks, and a three-man team for Archery since there are only three targets. The team scoring the highest at each sport will be awarded a prize. Cub Scout Recruiting Don t forget to invite the Arrow of Light Scouts (current 4 th & 5 th grade) from your local packs to join your troop at the camporee. They will get a chance to see Boy Scouts in action. The AOL Scouts and their parents/guardians are free. Campfires Campfires will be permitted in the fire ring in each campsite, conditions permitting. Fire buckets will be filled and used to extinguish the fires. 4

The Council Fire Each troop is asked to perform at least one skit/song/run-on for the campfire Saturday night. All skits/songs/run-ons must be in accordance with the Scout Law and Oath. Please use the Scout Law and Oath as a guide for behavior at the campfire. The SPL should bring the troop s entry to the cracker-barrel or drop it off at the camp office before lunch on Saturday. The staff reserves the right to filter any segments that don t comply with the guidelines above. The Scouts should remember when they are performing to: Speak clear Speak loud Project his voice toward the audience Face the audience from behind the fire. Sunday Checkout Before units are permitted to leave they must be checked out by a staff member. The SPL will come to camp headquarters and get a staff member to verify your site is ready to go. Upon checkout you will receive your patches. Lost & Found The camp headquarters is the location of the Lost & Found. Any lost & found issues after the camporee is over can be directed to Al Thomas at the council service center. Handicap Accessibility Statement In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Patriots Path Council, BSA will make all reasonable efforts to accommodate persons with disabilities at its meetings. Refund Policy In all programs offered by Patriots Path Council, BSA a great deal of planning and purchasing takes place well in advance. Their plans include, but are not limited to, staff, food, program materials, patches and awards, rental and purchase of equipment, and in some cases, items of clothing such as t-shirts that are given as part of the program. When an individual or group makes a reservation to an activity or program, these items are included in ordering of materials and staffing for that event. Individual or groups that cancel a program reservation 30 day prior to the date of the event will receive a refund of fees paid, less a 15% administration charge. No refunds will be made after the 30 cancellation deadline, unless there is a medical emergency. All cancellations must be made in writing and sent to The Patriots Path Council, 1 Saddle Rd.
