Prior to Leaving Home 1. Travellers are encouraged to complete the Fort Hills site orientation prior to arrival. Orientation can be completed online at http://www.forthills.com 2. Prior to leaving for travel, ensure you have your flight itinerary and confirmation for your lodge room. You will not be allowed on a Suncor flight or get a lodge room without a valid reservation. 3. Review bus schedules and routes at http://sunlink.suncor.com 4. Pack accordingly. Keep in mind that your baggage must follow the same regulations as commercial airports as set out by Federal Aviation Standards and Transport Canada. A list of prohibited and accepted items on Suncor flights is available at suncor.com/travel. 5. You must bring all your own toiletries. There is a convenience store and/or vending machine on site at your designated lodge should you forget any essential items. Lodges provide sheets, comforters and towels. Hand soap is supplied for your washroom. Laundry detergent and, fabric softener is available in the laundry room, free or for purchase. 6. Job tools are only allowed in checked baggage, except those powered by lithium-ion batteries. Tools with lithiumion batteries must be declared when checking in. These tools must be carried on board and will form part of your carry-on allowance. Where possible, please arrange with your employer to transport your tools separately or store your tools at site between shifts. 7. Bags will be weighed at check-in. Total baggage weight restrictions are: Checked bags 27 kg/60 lb. Carry-on 10 kg/22 lb. 8. You are permitted two carry-on bags: one personal item and one other. Carry-on baggage must not exceed the size of 25 cm x 36 cm x 48 cm. Please note this is smaller than airline standard. 9. There is no limit to the number of checked bags; however, all checked bags together must not exceed the weight restrictions. 10. In the event you require extra baggage when travelling to site for your first shift or leaving site on your final shift, have your travel coordinator contact Fort Hills Travel to request an increase to your baggage allowance. Requests must be made a minimum of 24 hours before the flight and include the passenger s name, badge number, employer and flight information. This request can only be approved by the Aviation Department. 11. Suncor shares runways, airspace and terminals with other airlines. Air traffic and weather problems can lead to delays for Suncor flights. Plan for a minimum of two (2) hours between your scheduled arrival and connecting flights. Suncor is not responsible for missed connecting flights. SUPPORT SERVICES Page 1

12. If you miss your connection or your Suncor flight, please notify your travel coordinator or employer immediately. No-shows on flights and for rooms not only reduce availability for others, they also have a significant financial impact on the project. Your employer may be charged directly for no-shows. Parking is not provided at any Suncor terminals for employees and contractors who participate in a fly-in/fly-out program. Pay parking is available at all Suncor terminals with exception to Firebag Aerodrome. Please allow enough time to travel between the parking area and the terminal. Do not park in Suncor-designated parking areas as these are reserved for short-term use. Unauthorized vehicles may be ticketed and towed. Check-In and Boarding Passengers are asked to display their Suncor identification badges at all times. If this is your first trip and you have not received your ID badge please have government-issued photo identification available. Show your valid Suncor picture identification or government-issued photo ID Name on the reservation must match the name on the photo ID presented at check-in. If not, the passenger will be denied boarding Ensure your reservation confirmation is readily available should you be required to provide it. SUPPORT SERVICES Page 2

Ensure your bags are tagged with your proper name and contact information Your baggage will be tagged and you will receive a boarding pass; seats are not assigned. The baggage tags are colour-coded to reflect your destination A customer service agent will provide instructions on boarding the plane. Typically, boarding begins 30 minutes before departure and check-in closes 15 minutes before departure. Once check-in closes, you will not be able to board the aircraft. Search Policy Security officers will perform routine random searches of passenger property, including carry-on, checked and stowed baggage. A detailed search will be conducted should an item of concern be identified as being present in your baggage. Safety and Security For the comfort and safety of all passengers, prohibited behaviours are described as, but not limited to: wearing headsets or using electronic devices while walking across the ramp, or when instructed not to do so by a flight crew member boarding a Suncor flight while not 'Fit for Duty', as described in Suncor's Alcohol & Drug Policy using alcohol or drugs during the flight possessing alcohol on your person or in your bags possessing drugs or drug paraphernalia on your person or in your bags carrying a weapon or any dangerous item on board a Suncor flight carrying bear spray harassing ground crews, flight crews, security officers or fellow passengers fighting or participating in a confrontation threatening staff or fellow passengers making jokes about security, bombs or terrorism smoking on the flight (including e-cigarettes) or tampering with smoke detectors ignoring instructions by flight crews, ground crews or security officers vandalizing the aircraft or any Suncor property participating in any illegal activity Seatbelt extensions are not permitted for use in the emergency exit row due to the potential tripping hazard. If you require a seatbelt extension, please notify a flight attendant and they will assist you. SUPPORT SERVICES Page 3

Medical/Special Needs Passengers with medical or other special needs are asked to inform their travel coordinators in advance and confirm that the appropriate arrangements have been made with the customer service agents when they check-in at the terminal. Arrival to Firebag Aerodrome When you arrive at the Firebag Aerodrome you will deplane and proceed through security into the terminal building. Please inform security if you are a new employee, and that you are travelling directly to the Fort Hills site. All mobilized contractors and employees will be asked to show their badges. Proceed to collect your bags out in front of the terminal and board the bus to Fort Hills. If you are unsure please ask a driver for directions to the bus you need to be on. Please board the bus marked with the name of the lodge that is on your reservation confirmation. Unless you have made alternate arrangements with your leader, when you arrive at the Fort Hills site (travel time is approximately 90 minutes), notify security at the gate when they board the bus to scan badges that you are a new hire and that you will be proceeding straight to the lodge. If you are going to Mount Robson Lodge, you will sign in at security, get your photo taken and receive your visitor ID badge. This visitor badge will allow you to check in to your lodge room and will be replaced by your official Suncor ID once you have completed your full site orientation. You will be required to present government-issued picture ID to Suncor security to receive your Suncor employee badge. Travellers are encouraged to complete the Fort Hills site orientation prior to arrival. Orientation can be completed online at http://www.forthills.com Lodge Information Hotelling You will be hotelling for the duration of your stay. Hotelling at a Suncor-owned or third-party lodge is much like staying in a regular hotel: once you check in, the room is yours for the duration of your stay. When your shift ends, you must pack up your belongings and check out so the room can be prepared for the next guest. Lodge Check-In 1. Workers requiring accommodation will be provided a lodge room based on effectiveness and efficiency. 2. Please check in at the main reception upon arrival where you will receive your swipe building/room access or hard key depending upon lodge set-up. 3. Once a year you will be required to review and sign off on Suncor s Drug Interdiction Acknowledgement and Consent form as well as the Rules and Regulations of the lodge you are staying at. 4. Please familiarize yourself with the evacuation map located in your room. 5. Consult your lodge s front desk or guest directory for meal times and services available to you. 6. Consult with your travel coordinator or your employer to confirm your travel arrangements to and from your lodge and work-site. 7. Bus routes are posted: a. Online at http://sunlink.suncor.com b. At your assigned lodge; please check with the front desk to ensure they are current. Ground transportation can be reached at 780-713-7444 if you need to report any issues with your bus route (e.g., late or missed buses). 8. Contact your travel coordinator or employer immediately if you will not be able to check-in (due to cancellation/delayed flight, etc). No-shows for rooms not only reduce availability for others, they also have a significant financial impact on the project. Your employer may be charged directly for no-shows. 9. If you are a returning traveller with stored baggage: a. You must first proceed to the lodge where your baggage is stored b. Once baggage has been retrieved from storage, board the bus to the appropriate lodge listed on your reservation. Lodge Check Out 1. Prepare to pack up and check out before the last day of your shift. 2. Know your departure date, your travel times and confirm your flight itinerary in advance. 3. Suncor hotelling check out times are: 7 a.m. for the day shift 6 p.m. for the night shift 4. You must check out by 7 a.m. before your last shift if you are working the day shift. 5. You must check out by 6 p.m. before your last shift if you are working the night shift. 6. Checking out requires that you do so with the front desk or by completing an information sheet that your particular lodge may request. Suncor and the lodge operator are not responsible for the loss of any personal items. Please ensure all keys and cards are returned upon check out. If keys or cards were not returned, contact your travel coordinator immediately. Guest or contractor may face financial penalty should keys/cards not be returned 7. Remember to pack up all your personal belongings. SUPPORT SERVICES Page 5

8. If baggage storage is available in your lodge please store it before you go to work or take it with you to work. Your employer should be able to assist you with this. 9. If your lodge has baggage storage you will be able to leave two pieces of baggage (up to 27 kg/60 lb. combined) in storage while you are away. There is no guarantee that you will be returning to the same lodge. Should you be placed at a different lodge, please ensure you to pick up your baggage from the appropriate lodge upon your return. 10. Check with your employer to see if you will be storing baggage at the lodge you are leaving or if you will need to take it on the bus with you to be stored at an alternate location while you are on days off. 11. After you return to the lodge from your last shift, you will have limited time to collect your baggage, shower (in designated area) and be prepared to board the coach to the Aerodrome for your flight home. 12. Depending on time of day there may be a boxed hotelling meal provided for travel to the aerodrome. As some travellers do depart outside of the program parameters, meals and shower rooms may not be guaranteed. 13. Should check out not be completed, Suncor reserves the right to remove and store belongings so room can be utilized. Employers may be charged should check out not be completed. Departure Day - Busing 1. Workers are encouraged to visit sunlink.suncor.com/forthills for the most up to date schedules. Schedules can also be found at the entrance of each lodge and most front desk locations. 2. The travel time to the Aerodrome from your designated lodge will vary depending on location and road/weather conditions. 3. Buses are available for loading 10 minutes before departure for the Aerodrome. Please ensure to board the bus that is designated for your flight number specifically. Travel time is approximately 70-90 minutes. 4. You must travel to the Aerodrome on the approved bus. There is no access or parking for private or company vehicles at the Aerodrome. 5. You are responsible for placing and removing your baggage in the bus storage compartment. The baggage bay door will be opened by the bus driver only. 6. Your employer is responsible for giving advance notice to the Aerodrome via Fort Hills Travel that baggage storage is required. 7. If you miss your flight or need to change your reservations for either flight or lodge room, please contact your travel coordinator as soon as possible. Aerodrome and Lodge staff are not able to change or modify reservations. SUPPORT SERVICES Page 6

Reservation Changes 1. If your trip needs to be cancelled in advance of travel please contact your Travel Coordinator and ensure that your flight and room reservations are cancelled. 2. If your trip needs to be changed in any way (arrival date or departure date) please contact your Travel Coordinator and ensure that your reservations are revised immediately.
