FOUR Happiness Is 2 Hi parents! Hope you all had a great Fourth of July celebration. Camp this week was patriotic and super fun. On Monday, the weather unfortunately did not allow us to go to Tower beach but we were still able to have a busy day at Hubbard Woods reading stories and making red, white and blue crafts. Campers also participated in yoga and relaxation in the gym. We hope everyone who attended the 4th of July parade had an awesome time. The staff enjoyed seeing all the campers smiling faces, whether they were in the parade, running the races, or just watching! On Wednesday the campers cooled off with water day activities. They played sponge bulls eye and raced spilling water from pool to pool. The campers also discussed and drew fireworks, decorating them with paint and glitter. Thursday followed with a super cool obstacle course, where campers leaped, crawled, and ran through the field. After, each camper designed personal gold medals and learned about the United States on a class-made giant coloring map. We ended the week with a visit from a magician! Campers drew a cool Chicago skyline and the kids were able to take home their bean plants from the week before. We cannot believe that camp is already halfway through!
