Miscellaneous Camp Information Emergency and Safety Procedures: In case of severe storms, severe lightning, wind or any other weather emergency, everyone will report to the nearest shelter until it is safe to return to your campsite Fishing License You must have a valid Tennessee Fishing License if you take, or attempt to take fish (including crayfish) by any method or if you assist someone else to do so. You are exempt if you are under 13 years of age. You may purchase online at htttp://tennessee.gov/twra/fishlicense.html or Wal- Mart. Parking Upon arrival to camp unit vehicles will be permitted into camp during check-in and check-out, for the purposes of loading and unloading of personal and unit equipment. While driving in camp, please observe the camp speed limit of 5 miles per hour. No vehicles including golf carts, will be allowed to operate in camp or be parked in the campsite. Only vehicles pulling trailers are allowed in the camp site. These must be hooked to the trailer and remain in camp until leaving on Sunday morning. No driving will be allowed inside the gate after dusk. SPEED LIMIT 5 mph

Spring Camporee 2013 Events: Troop 78- Aircraft Carrier Landing - Land model aircraft on silhouette of an aircraft carrier. The model aircraft is guided by a line attached to a control stick. Every boy in each patrol will be given three attempts for a high score. The patrol will use the three highest individual scores for the event total. Work will be done in teams of two. One at the control and one to ready the aircraft for flight. Scoring: Which every block the aircraft lands in the corresponding number will be given as a score (5,4,3,2,or 1). The aircraft must be inside the box. If any part is in a lower number box then the lower number applies. If aircraft lands outside of the box to the left or right you may earn 50% of the box points is at least 50% of the aircraft is in the box. Troop 96- Caterpillar Obstacle Course - Description: Team Member will hold to a rope and be blindfolded except Patrol Leader. The patrol leader will verbally guide the team around, under, and over small obstacles. The event will be timed with time added for missed obstacles. Troop 77- Map & Measure Challenge - Divide patrol into groups of 2-3 scouts - Group 1: Orient the map and then answer a set of questions about different things found on a standard USGS topo quad map. 10 points for orienting the map correctly and 10 points for the question set. - Group 2: Same as Group 1 but with a different topo quad map. 20 points - Group 3: Measure the width of an imaginary stream using only paper, pencil, and compass. The compass can be used but is not a necessity. 20 points - Group 4: Measure the height of a tree/pole using no tools. 20 points - We will have a 100 foot distance marked off for the boys to determine their pace length if they need to. - The tie breaker will be whoever gets the width of the stream the closest to the actual measured distance. - No electronic devices of any kind allowed.
Troop 298- Teamwork/ Problem Solving - Each patrol will have to work together to construct a pioneering project (bridge) and use that project to complete and solve a brain teaser. Scoring is based on time with deductions for failing to complete the objective and number of attempts at solving problem. Troop 76- Low Sawing - Timed Event Troop 76- Hot Isotope relay - Timed event. Troop 198- Rope Toss - 10 different size ropes. One Scout will stand in center of circle holding a post and other scouts will attempt to throw ropes on to the post. Score up to 10 points. Troop 198- Nail Stacker - Stack all nails on top of each other. Timed event.
