Message From Our President Hi to All Members of the Mother Lode Model T Club, Well, I think fall is finally here, nights are cool and days don't feel like summer anymore. Trees are starting to get their colors as we all saw on John Saylor's Fall Color Tour to Uncle Tom's Cabin. I would like to thank John for putting on a great end of the year tour that was well attended with (11) eleven Model T's and Model A's, one Hot Rod and one Jeep. Good Job John. The new Board Members have been nominated for the 2019 year. They are Bertie and Rich Baughman, Ed Rodriguez, Debbie Bamber, Steve Short, Phil Lawrence, Susie and Gary Krezman. Officers will be picked at the conclusion of the November General Meeting by the new Board Members. The Holiday Season is upon us and everything is in motion for our Christmas Party. Due to Eula Marriott's recent fight with cancer, Susie volunteered to finish coordinating the Christmas Party with Auburn Valley Country Club. See the flyer and sign up on the back page. Final details will be shared at the November meeting. Also, please keep Eula in their thoughts and prays for a speedy recovery. John Saylor contacted CJ with the Placer County Boys and Girls Club about our donation to the Club. They would like Sherry Rodriguez and myself to present the check in person so they can take a picture and post it on their social media site. We are also trying to get in touch with someone with the Assistance League of Greater Placer County for the other donation, but have not gotten a return call yet. In closing, I would like to thank everyone for all your support and help in keeping the Mother Lode Model T Club active, and I look forward to seeing you all the November Monthly meeting. Your President, Gary Krezman T Diggins' Page 1

October 20, Tour to Uncle Tom's Cabin What a beautiful day of touring. We had a good showing of cars for the leisurely drive to Uncle Tom's. After a short stop in Cool where we met up with Steve and friend Gary in his hot rod, we continued up hwy 174, turning off on Sliger Mine Road for a quiet ride through some neat scenery, fall colors and some vineyards that many never knew were there. Another stop in Georgetown where some put food on the manifold, bought sandwiches and talked with curious locals. Then it was on up Wentworth Springs Road to Stumpy Meadows Lake. Here we checked our cookers, and took some pictures. After a short drive we arrived at Uncle Tom's. We enjoyed our lunches in the meadow like picnic area. I saw some delicious manifold meals; Brats, Lasagna and Kabobs. Some were seen in the cabin pining up dollar bills and some were looking for theirs from a past visit. On the way back several of us stopped in Georgetown for ice cream at Worton's Market. A great way to finish off a fun day with great weather. The tour was not trouble free. I was experiencing a rough running engine on the way up to Raley's which turned out to be a blown head gasket, so I parked the T at Raley's and rode with Mike in his Model A. Later that morning our guests Spencer and Vickie in their 15 Touring experienced an engine knock and decided it was best to park it and ride in one of the modern cars. On the way home Bobby Weitzel had a rear end seize up on his Model A Roadster. So several of us have work to do before the next run. Thanks to all who came out and enjoyed the day. John Saylor LOL's (Ladies Out to Lunch) Nov 20 - Tuesday, 11:30 String's Italian Restaurant, Near KMart, Auburn. All Ladies in the club are welcome.
