Freddy Smith, GSA President Welcome Spring Hope everyone is doing well! Looking forward to some wonderful camping in 2016! Just a reminder please submit any registration forms for any event in a timely matter as you all know it just helps so much in planning an event of any type. Just a reminder if there is any ideas or suggestions please let us know. I would like to that Reba & Ron Ray for all the hard work and planning you all put into the 2016 Retiree Rally. Just a reminder that the terms reservations and registration mean two different things. Reservations usually has to do with campground sites. Registration is the fee/form you pay for the special events such as Campvention, Spring Campout, & Regional events. Sometimes these have two different days. Please don t get the dates mixed up. Campground reservations usually have to be made before the deadline for registration forms/fees. Looking forward to seeing you all at the Spring Campout April 22, 2015 at Pine Mountain. Please send in your registration forms in to Reba Ray and make your campground reservations soon by April 10th. Please remember to register early for the SE Regional, deadline for campsite reservations is May 1, 2016 and registration forms/ fees are due by May 10, 2016. If you would like to do anything special or have any ideas please let us know. There will be a planning meeting to be held at the Spring Campout. The SE Regional will be hosted by GSA in 2016 at Bald Mountain Camping Resort, Hiawassee, GA on June 9-12, 2016. Registration forms are posted in on the FCRV and GSA website. I always say it is easier to cancel a reservation than to not be able to get one. Please make your reservations early as camping anywhere in NE GA Mountain area is prime camping year round. The last date to make your reservations is May 1, 2016 for SE Regional group reservations. You may get a spot but not at the group rate. It is especially important to book early if you have special needs. Prayers & thought to all who are experiencing the loss of a loved one or for those with health issues. Special thanks to Integrity RV Service Center for renewing their ad and for their continue support. Currently the GSA membership dues of $10 are due on September 1 st of every year. If you have not paid your state dues please send to Dianne Reagan. These dues help cover the expenses of the Newsletter and the GSA Website. On the same note be sure your National dues are paid also. If your State dues are not received you will be removed from this mailing. Happy camping, be safe in your travels. Good health to all. ***********************************************************************************************

STATE DIRECTOR BY: Tommy and Alice Garner Spring has sprung! We missed the Retiree Rally in Houma because of mechanical problems on the RV. From all the reports from our friends afterward we missed a good one. As a matter of fact, one of our friends said that this Rally was their favorite ever! Good job Ron and Reba! Everyone remember the GSA campout at Pine Mountain Resort April 22-24. Also, let's not forget the FCRV Southeast Regional at Bald Mountain Camp Resort in Hiawassee. We will be taking a travel-a-long with some of our FCRV friends in July on the way to Shawnee, Oklahoma. If anyone is interested, we will have more info at the GSA. *********************************************************************************************** RETIREE DIRECTOR By: REBA RAY Well, The Houma, Louisiana Retiree Rally is over and done with. Ron & I had a great time hosting the rally. We had 134 units attending, the most we have had in the last 2 to 3 years. We met so many people and put names to faces that we have known before. We also met a lot of first timers and they are ready to come back again next year. The facility was a good place. With all the rain, we were on a cement parking lot with great drainage. So there was no flooding where we were staying. It is a beautiful building and the Civic Center employers were more than accommodating to our every need. Congratulations to the 2016 International Retiree King & Queen Dallas & Barb Dodson from Missouri. 1 st runner up Dwight & Barb Bonifield from Ohio 2 nd runner up Guy & Jennie Dean from South Carolina The National Retiree Director, Dick Likins has resigned from the position. Ron & I have been appointed to this position. We couldn t say anything before because we weren t sure. We have gotten a letter form Sheri Weber, FCRV President and Jack Smye, Past President, that the appointment was finalized. So now the National Retiree Director is Ron & Reba Ray. The next Retiree Rally will be in Canton, Texas, on March 21-27, 2017. The theme is Circus, Circus, Under the Big Top. The early days will be March 17-20, 2017. Jim & Barb Turner are the host for the rally and they are planning on new things for the week. It should be a lot of fun. So start making plans to be there. The cost is the same as last year, $215.00. Hope to see you there! Reba & Ron ***********************************************************************************************

Scholarship News By: Dena Whatley ******************************************************************************************** TROUP TRAVELERS By: REBA RAY The Troup Travelers had eating meetings for January and February at Trinity on Hill Methodist Church. Our March meeting was the official first campout of our season. We had 12 units there and 6 units were visitors from up north that stopped by on their way home from wintering in Florida and South Texas for the winter. The Garners, Wikers, and Allens were in charge of this campout and all had a great time. There was snacks and desserts served on Friday night and then a big hot dog supper with all the trimmings for Saturday. Our next outing will be at Brickyard Plantation Golf & RV Park in Americus, Ga. This will be April 8-10. We will have the building, so if anyone would like to come and join in, you will be more than welcomed. Some of the Peach Rollers are joining us there. In May we will be going to White Oak Creek Campground in Eufala, Al. This will be 13-15, again if you would like and never been to this park, come join in. We will go out to eat one night then a pot luck supper the next night. This is a beautiful park and it s been a while since we have been there. It s good to be back camping again. We wish all of you a safe travel and a good year of camping. Hope to see all in Pine Mountain for the GSA Spring Campout. ********************************************************************************************* Voting has been completed for the revised Constitution & By-Laws. Results we be announced at the Spring Campout. If you do not belong to a club and did not get to vote please contact Joe Tercey *********************************************************************************************

PEACH ROLLERS By: Linda Smith Hello everyone, Happy Spring! We would like to welcome our new members to the FCRV, GSA FCRV, and Peach Rollers organization. Peach Rollers have gotten off to a slow start this year. Lot of sickness early in the year. February we met at Linda & Davis Williams for a Super Bowl Party. We had great food and fellowship. Also in February a few camped at Stone Mountain Park Campground Valentines weekend. March we camped at Georgia Veterans Memorial State Park, Cordele, GA. 2016 Peach Rollers will be camping at Lake Oconee, Lake Altoona, Lake Lanier, Lake Guntersville, Lake Hartwell and GA Mountain Area. Will need lots of help with the SE Regional. *********************************************************************************************** SPRING LIZARDS By: Edna Jordan My favorite time of the year... Spring is here. Pastures, yards, trees, flowers are green and blooming. Signs of dormant or new life are bursting through the pollen with positive forces. These factors of nature just physically reinforce the deep spiritual truth of the Resurrection. Because He lives, we shall live also!! Makes you want to say, "Hallelujah; Praise the Lord!" The Spring Lizards had a good campout at Little Tallapoosa in February, and a good meeting in March at the home of the Williams. We also had 3 couples (Weems, Williams, Jordan) attend the Retiree Rally in Houma, LA. We along with Ron and Reba Ray were the only ones from the Georgia chapters there. It was a very good rally--good fellowship, good food, good entertainment and superb facilities. We're looking forward, now, to our GSA Spring Campout at Pine Mountain in April and the SE Regional at Hiwassee in June. (We are currently looking for a location for the GSA Fall campout so we can make a recommendation at the Pine Mtn. meeting. If you know of a place with adequate meeting facilities, please share with us. We're trying to find new or different places from the ones we use most frequently.) Reporting on the health status of Mark Dorough---he is maintaining stability as he waits for a new liver. He "feels good," but tires very easily. All their classes and paperwork are completed...now to move up on the transplant list. Thank you for all your concern and SUPPORT. They are so humbled at the donations sent from our camping groups. This goes into the fund that must be in place as part of their transplant readiness. Looking forward to seeing you all at Pine Mountain... **********************************************************************************************
