EVENTS GUIDE The City of North Bay provides support services for your sporting event including promotion, connecting with local suppliers, and assistance with facility and site selection. The City also offers a Special Events Guide - a one-stop document which includes organizing tips, relevant contacts and by-law information. Other City services include providing visitor information packages, community maps, collector pins and one-on-one consultations with the event organizers. EVENT HOSTING PROGRAM North Bay recognizes the importance of sporting events to our local economy and is proud to offer an Event Hosting Fund that can provide financial assistance to qualifying events. MUSEUMS & LOCAL HISTORY The Dionne Quintuplets Museum This collection of artifacts is housed in the Quints original homestead and is open from May-October each year. Discovery North Bay Located in the City s former CP Railway Station, the Discovery North Bay Museum is filled with interactive displays and historical artifacts. The North Bay Sports Hall of Fame Located in the Memorial Gardens Sports Arena, the North Bay Sports Hall of Fame includes a photo display of more than 200 inductees. Canadian Forces Museum of Aerospace Defence Dedicated to telling the story of the men and women who helped shape the world of air and aerospace defence. THEATRES The Capitol Centre This 1,000 seat performing arts centre hosts concerts, comedy acts, live theatre, movies and more. It also houses an art gallery space and lounge. Galaxy Cinemas Features 7 movie theatres and an arcade. ART GALLERIES Art on Main This downtown artists collective features works from new and established local artisans. WKP Kennedy Gallery Features a number of permanent and travelling exhibits. White Water Gallery This gallery is a not-for-profit, artist-run centre. Joan Ferneyhough Gallery Located in a 1930 s period home in the heart of the City and features fine contemporary Canadian art.
