KEY FINDINGS S O U T H E R N PA L M E R T O W N CONSERVATION & ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY KEY FINDINGS FROM THE COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT EFFORTS TO DATE: Most participants are not very familiar with the name, Palmertown The area is best suited to conservation and recreation Strong support for the creation of a network of connected trails Participants overwhelmingly favor muscle-powered over motorpowered activities, and indicated a need to accommodate different users These stakeholders are not very keen on hunting or snowmobiling Participants are most interested in enhancing their quality of life A nonprofit organization or publicprivate partnership is best suited to lead implementation of the plan
