6 Lodge choices We have four styles of lodge for you to choose from, with pet-friendly options also available when you book. WOODLAND VIEW Relax and enjoy the very best views of Sherwood Forest with our top-of-the range Woodland View lodges. Highlights include an outdoor hot tub, larger veranda and outside love seat, and there are TVs in every bedroom and a Nespresso coffee maker. The lounge is located in the centre of the lodge, with bedrooms at either end. Two bedrooms, sleeps four NEW MODELS AVAILABLE - Three bedrooms, sleeps six - see pages 8 and 9 WOODLAND ESCAPE Our cosiest option for couples, Woodland Escape has the same features as Woodland View, but with only one bedroom. Features include an outdoor hot tub, large terrace and rattan lounger, plus a roll-top bath, bedroom TV and Nespresso coffee machine. NEW MODELS AVAILABLE - One bedroom, sleeps two - see pages 8 and 9 WOODLAND RUSTIC Our standard woodland lodges have a homely style with forest views. 8 New lodge style The new range of 2016 lodges at The Sherwood Hideaway is our most luxurious and stylish ever. One-bedroom Woodland Escapes are a romantic choice for couples, while two or three-bedroom Woodland Views provide extra space for families and small groups. Inside, you ll discover design features influenced by our forest setting and with an added twist of luxury: sage green and tan tones and woodeffect wallpaper throughout; blinds and thick curtains so you can shut out the world and snuggle down at night; deep roll top baths for an extended soak, and stylish wall prints and motifs to bring a cosy, rural feel. Full height patio doors and windows let natural light flood into each room, and sumptuous beds and sofas provide the perfect excuse for long lie-ins and lazy evenings. Kitchens are comprehensively kitted out so you can cook up your favourite meals to enjoy alongside a glass of wine. And outside, there s a decked terrace with rattan seating and a private hot tub where you can bathe away the stresses of daily life

10 Out and about Your Sherwood Hideaway lodge is a great base for exploring Nottinghamshire. Nearby Clumber Park (15 mins) is a stunning National Trust country estate with thousands of acres of pretty parkland, woodland, cycle paths and a serpentine lake. Highlights include the world s longest double avenue of lime trees, a giant glass house and a tiny chapel that resembles a miniature cathedral. The ancient market town of Newark (30 mins) is renowned for its cobbled marketplace, with markets taking place most days. The town s National Civil War Centre takes visitors back to the deadly struggles for power in 17 th century Britain and tells the story of the three sieges Newark endured during the British Civil Wars. 11 Nottingham Contemporary art gallery Nottingham Contemporary art gallery The thriving city of Nottingham (45mins) has much fascinating history to uncover. Nottingham Castle (such a feature of the Robin Hood stories) has commanding views over the city and many must-see exhibitions. Beneath the castle is a city of caves where there are more than 500 man-made, sandstone caverns and crevices dating back to medieval times. Take a tour to learn how the caves were used as tanneries, bomb shelters and homes. Nottingham, once a centre for lace production, now boasts one of the UK s largest contemporary art centres with displays from leading contemporary artists from across the world - a compelling contrast to the historic lace market. For the more adventurous there are thrilling activities to try at Nottingham s National Watersports Centre, with white water rafting, canoeing and powerboating among the options on offer.
