2 WELCOME Welcome to the 2018 Classic Grand Touring event brochure marking the 8th consecutive year that CGT has been hosting bespoke driving holidays and tours to the most prestigious classic motorsport events in Europe. There s a saying that goes time flies when you re having fun and 2017 was certainly no exception to that rule with it being one of our biggest and busiest years to date. Miglia event in Italy and the Angouleme Circuit des Remparts tour in France. We hope you enjoy browsing our latest brochure and sincerely hope to welcome you onto one of our tours soon. In the winter we started our year of events surrounded by beautiful white snow whilst Ice Driving in Sweden. A few months on in the springtime we experienced breathtaking passenger laps around the world famous Nurburgring Nordschleife being driven by none other than the legendary Derek Bell MBE, and then, in the height of summer we found ourselves driving some of the most beautiful roads we ve ever driven whilst on our inaugural Swiss Alps Tour. We ended our year of events in France with a firm favourite, The Hotel de France and Le Mans Tour taking in a warm Autumn surrounded by breathtaking seasonal colours in the Loire Valley is set to be another big year for us as it sees the return of the ever-popular bi-annual Monaco Historique and Le Mans Classic events, plus, we have the other annual favourites such as our all-inclusive Ice Driving trip to Sweden, the prestigious Mille Jamie Robinson, John Marcar & The Classic Grand Touring Team 02

3 THE RETROMOBILE MEETING 7TH 9TH FEBRUARY Retromobile is the social event that kick-starts the motoring year. Dealers, traders, collectors and enthusiasts descend upon the Porte de Versaille in Paris to discuss their cars, potential purchases and the events in which they will be participating during the year. The daily itinerary is as follows: TUESDAY 7TH FEBRUARY The tour starts at London St Pancras for a 09.30am Eurostar to Paris. Breakfast will be served aboard the train in our premier class seats as we proceed to Paris Gard du Nord. Upon arrival in Paris, we will be driven by private cars through Paris to the Champs-Elysées and you will then have time here for shopping and a spot of lunch. It s then a short drive to the amazing Grand Palais where we have VIP invitations to the Bonhams auction preview and a drinks reception. We are then transported to our hotel, the Lenox Montparnasse ahead of a free evening for you to enjoy. WEDNESDAY 8TH FEBRUARY On day 2 after breakfast at our hotel, we will be transferred to the Porte de Versailles exhibition centre. We have pre-purchased the tickets so we should have no delays or queues. We will meet up during the day for lunch before entering the Artcurial auction preview taking place at the show. This evening we take a short walk to our favourite Bistro in Montparnasse for a fabulous meal. THURSDAY 9TH FEBRUARY On our third and final morning, we take a short walk to the Montparnasse Tower, where we board the fastest elevator in France to the top floor for the finest views of Paris. This will whet our appetites ready for a final lunch. Our luggage will be delivered to the restaurant and we will then be transferred to the Gare du Nord for our mid-afternoon Eurostar back to St Pancras. 4 ICE DRIVING VARIOUS DATES IN FEBRUARY Ice Driving has to be one of the most fun experiences you can possibly have in a car! We discovered this five years ago and as a result, have been returning every winter ever since with a 4 day trip including 2 full days of incredible frozen lake ice driving in an array of cars. We run our Ice Driving experience as a package meaning that we take care of absolutely everything. We arrange flights from London Gatwick to Oslo Gardermoen where you will be met by our Classic GT Tour Managers who will look after you throughout the trip. Upon arrival at the lake, you are given the keys to show off your skills before perfecting your technique via the complimentary tuition on both days at the lake. We give you the opportunity to drive FWD, RWD and 4WD cars and whilst we want you to have a lot of fun, we also want you to learn how to drive quickly in these unique conditions. The lake is made up of 5 different circuits, a training slalom, an oversteer-doughnut, 2 large rally circuits plus an Ice Karting circuit where you have the chance to put your new found skills to the test in a fun Grand Prix! You will also have the chance to see the stunning natural wildlife as well as the opportunity to try the famous local Moose steaks or Bear burgers at the fabulous Longhorn restaurant. The daily Itinerary for all groups is as follows: DAY 1 Your expedition begins as you board your morning flight from Gatwick Airport to Oslo Gardermoen Airport. Upon arrival in Oslo, you will be greeted by our Classic GT Tour Managers who will be on hand to assist throughout the trip. You will be driven in comfort to the hotel in Trysil, our base for the next three nights. This evening s dinner will be at the hotel where your Tour Managers will brief you on what to expect over the next two days on the lake. DAY 2 After breakfast, the Classic GT Minibuses will take us to the lake for your first full day s driving on ice! Upon arrival, you will have a short session on driving techniques before your first laps on the stunning frozen lake. We will be driving all day with a stop for lunch. To round-off the day, you will compete in the Classic GT Ice Driving Cup in fully ice prepared go-karts with studded tyres. We head back to the hotel late afternoon with time to change for dinner at the fabulous Longhorn restaurant where you have a choice of Moose and Bear burgers! DAY 3 Once again, after breakfast, we will depart for the lake for our second full day of ice driving. Today we have arranged for you to get behind the wheel of a fully prepared rally car. You will have a sighting lap with an instructor before being let loose on the large outer circuit. In the afternoon we have arranged a timed stage for you to compete in against your co-driver. At the end of the day, you will experience a high-speed passenger ride before heading back to the hotel for our finale dinner. DAY 4 The Classic GT Minibus will be warm and ready to take you to Oslo to catch your early afternoon flight back to Gatwick. 04

6 GRAND PRIX DE MONACO DRIVING TOUR 4TH - 13TH MAY The Monaco Historique is without a doubt the most prestigious event on the Historic racing calendar. This is the event that all drivers want to win which makes the racing extremely exciting. Watching everything from Historic F1 to Sports cars slithering their way around the streets is a real privilege. The buzz around the town is really special, we get you into the right places in order to make the weekend an unforgettable one. Highlights include a stay in both the Champagne and Burgundy regions, before ascending into the Alps to tackle the fabulous Route Napoleon. The final evening will have a Provençal feel, allowing an easy run into Monaco for the weekend s activities. The daily itinerary is as follows: FRIDAY 4TH MAY The tour starts at the Eurotunnel for the hrs. train to Calais. Once refreshments have been collected in the Flexiplus lounge, we will be given priority loading to board the train together. On arrival in France, we head for Champagne country, to the Chateau de Fère complete with its own historic ruins to explore before the welcome Champagne reception. This evening dinner will be served in the Chateau restaurant with accompanying wines. SATURDAY 5TH & SUNDAY 6TH MAY Following breakfast at the hotel, we lead a convoy to the start line of the historic Reims circuit, for a photo call in front of the pit buildings, which still remain there to this day. From Reims, you will follow our detailed road book through the Champagne vineyards leading into Burgundy. We have selected scenic routes via empty D roads. Our hotel for the next two evenings is the Hostellerie Le Cedre in Beaune. Dinner this evening will be in the hotel restaurant with wine included. DAY 2 IN BEAUNE Today the cars stay in the underground garage as we continue into the centre of Beaune, on foot. There is time for sightseeing before we have lunch with one of the finest wine producers in the region. This afternoon there is an optional drive out (own cars) to a chateau that houses a huge collection of fighter planes, Abarth cars, motorbikes and fire engines, they even have their own vineyards! For those who wish to relax and unwind, it s a short walk back to the tranquil gardens and sumptuous rooms at the hotel. A light evening meal with wine included will be served at the hotel. MONDAY 7TH & TUESDAY 8TH MAY After breakfast, we will drive across country and start the ascent into the Jura region. Our route leads you over the stunning mountain pass of the Col de Grand Colombier to the popular tour stop at Aix Les Bains, where refreshments will be offered by the tranquil lakeside. Our hotel is south of Grenoble, where we stay for two nights at the Grand Hotel Uriage. The hotel has its own hydrotherapy spa, where 06

7 you may benefit from the Uriage spa water. Dinner will be in the 2 Michelin starred restaurant with wine included. TUESDAY 8TH MAY For those who wish, there will be a delightful drive out to the pass of Col de Galibier and Lautaret into the picturesque Ecrans national park, where we stop at a local auberge for some regional fare. Alternatively, leave the cars in the car park and enjoy the hotel s Spa for a day of relaxation. The evening is free to enjoy as you wish. WEDNESDAY 9TH MAY Today we drive the famous Route Napoleon, skirting the Alps this road is widely regarded as one of the finest in Europe! Enjoy up to 100 miles of open winding roads, as we drop down into the Gorges de Verdon and to our hotel, La Bastide de Tourtour. Tonight we dine in the hotel s stunning restaurant with wine included, where we can enjoy 180km views of the region. Tomorrow we drive to Monaco! THURSDAY 10TH MAY After breakfast, enjoy the fabulous views whilst driving along the Cote d Azur, arriving in Monaco in time for that prime parking position at the Fairmont Monte Carlo hotel. Your Monaco Historique weekend starts here. You are booked into a Garden View room at the Fairmont for a total of four nights with upgrade options available such as sea view rooms. Your Monaco hospitality is all catered for within the hotel. FRIDAY 11TH, SATURDAY 12TH & SUNDAY 13TH The hospitality package is all catered for at the Fairmont hotel including meals and views of the race from the rooftop. WHAT S INCLUDED? 8 GRAND PRIX DE MONACO HISTORIQUE FLIGHT TOUR 10TH - 14TH MAY THURSDAY 10TH Our flight tour begins at Heathrow airport. You are booked onto the British Airways operated flight which is due to take off at The flight lands in Nice at local time where you will be greeted by a Classic Grand Touring member of staff. You will then be led to your transfer vehicle which takes you directly to the Novotel Hotel in Monaco, our base for the weekend. We will collectively check into the hotel before then enjoying a free afternoon in Monaco. FRIDAY 11TH Practice for the Historic Grand Prix starts after lunch allowing for a leisurely start to the day. The practice offers a great opportunity to spectate at your own pace whilst exploring the beautiful city of Monaco. The practice sessions last 30 minutes for each category meaning you ll be able to make the most of the variation of cars. Most spectator locations for the practice can be accessed free of charge including the paddocks all afternoon*.this evening you are invited for welcome cocktails. SATURDAY 12TH Today is the qualifying day for the historic race and we have arranged some very exciting grandstand seats. Our grandstand (K) is located between the Tabac and Swimming Pool corners which looks down towards the tunnel exit meaning you can witness cars fighting into and out of the corners. Like the practice sessions, each qualifying session will last 30 minutes per category. You are free to come and go from the grandstand at your leisure throughout the day. SUNDAY 13TH Today is race day, the most exciting day of the trip and we have put together a full hospitality package at the Hotel Miramar. This location gives you a great view of the cars as they blast up the hill from Ste Devote and again as they exit the chicane towards the tricky Tabac corner around the port. Here you have an entire day of hospitality including a Champagne reception, Breakfast, a 3-course lunch, ½ a bottle wine per person as part of your package with access to a bar for the duration of the day. MONDAY 14TH Today, we depart Monaco returning to Nice airport for our late morning flight back to Heathrow. Our transfer is booked to collect us from the hotel dropping us directly outside the departures entrance at Nice Airport. *Exact details for grandstand access for Friday will be confirmed in due course. 9 Five stars all around. My wife and I and the Austin Healey 3000 had a fantastic trip. All the staff were helpful informative and courteous. Many thanks. We had a great time in Angoulême and really enjoyed ourselves. The drive down was excellent and we loved the lunch at Chateau de Lude. All the arrangements were great! The team did well throughout the trip, friendly and welcoming. The ClassicGT team did a superb job and everyone appreciated their efforts. Hotel de France is excellent as is their restaurant. Great routes and probably as good a ferry as you can get! 09

10 THE MILLE MIGLIA DRIVING TOUR 11TH 22ND MAY The road endurance race, Mille Miglia combines tradition, elegance and Italian excellence. This will be our 20th year of escorting discerning clients to this spectacle driving through France and Switzerland into Italy staying at the finest hotels. The drives are carefully planned to ensure you enjoy your holiday, relax and enjoy the scenery. You ll be close to the 440 historic cars and their crews for scrutineering and on the following day will witness the excitement before the race starts with views from an excellent vantage point. The daily itinerary is as follows: FRIDAY 11TH MAY Leaving Folkestone Eurotunnel to France, our first hotel is a drive into the heart of Champagne country to the beautiful 5* Chateau de Fère. There will be time to stroll around the magnificent ruins of the old castle before dinner in the fabulous hotel restaurant SATURDAY 12TH MAY Today we begin driving to the former Reims (Geux) GP circuit for a photo opportunity. The journey continues to Beaune for the 5* hotel set in a garden boasting 100 yr old trees. Their restaurant will serve fine gastronomy and wines. SUNDAY 13TH MAY After breakfast, we cross through the Jura towards the Swiss Alps to a Glion hotel on the Lake Leman shores. There are unrivalled views from the balconies and terraces across the lake to the mountains beyond. Dinner, with wine, will be in the hotel s atmospheric restaurant. MONDAY 14TH MAY We will pick the best routes to drive the passes as we head into Italy, stopping for coffee by Lake Maggiore, to the dramatic location of our hotel overlooking Lake Iseo. Dinner, with wine is included at the hotel. TUESDAY 15TH MAY A car free day to travel by luxury coach to Lake Iseo to enjoy a private charter cruise before heading into Brescia to get close to the cars and drivers at scrutineering. Dinner will be a buffet of local specialities with wine tasting from a local vineyard. WEDNESDAY 16TH MAY Excitement builds today as we return to Brescia for the race start. You can wander around the lively piazzas to mingle with the competitors preparing to begin their adventure. We have an excellent vantage point (a bar!) from which to cheer the teams as they leave the town. Brescia also has great shopping and many historic piazzas and cobbled streets with restaurants etc. Evening dinner will be your own choice either in the hotel or in Iseo. THURSDAY 17TH MAY Today, we head south to Modena, stopping for a Mille Miglia museum tour on the way. Modena is the home of some great motoring museums the Museo Casa Enzo Ferrari, which focuses on the life and work of the great man, and is just a short walk from our hotel with the Maserati Museum nearby. The Lamborghini and Ducati museums are only 30 and 40 minutes from Modena. Dinner this evening will be at a restaurant in Modena. 10

11 FRIDAY 18TH MAY Following breakfast, we will drive to Maranello, the home of Ferrari, visiting the Ferrari Museum and everything that is Ferrari in the town...cafe, shops, restaurants. Only a short detour back to the hotel will take you to the Panini museum and opposite is a traditional Parmesan dairy for a tour and tasting if you wish to take a break from cars! Dinner this evening is your own choice of Modena restaurant. SATURDAY 19TH MAY We begin our journey home today, heading North with options to stop at Lake Garda or the romantic Verona city have a photo under the famous balcony of Romeo and Juliet or lunch in one of the piazzas. We will drive through the spectacular alpine scenery of the Dolomites to our hotel in the Merano region that has wonderful relaxing spa facilities. SUNDAY 20TH MAY The day starts with a Swiss alpine breakfast. Our route will be based on what passes are accessible, but even if some are closed, we will still experience more breathtaking scenery and fantastic roads as we wind through valleys, by lakes and climb into the Alps on our way to Zurich. Dinner, with wine, is included for this evening. MONDAY 21ST MAY Our drive takes us through some lovely French countryside and we will stop at Mulhouse to view the fabulous private collection of cars at the Cite de L Automobile, also known as the Schlumpf Collection. There will be a champagne reception before our end of tour dinner at the hotel in Metz this evening TUESDAY 22ND MAY Our final hotel is in the city centre giving the opportunity to stroll around the parks, shops, and cafes before setting off on the last leg of our UK return which is an easy drive back to the Eurotunnel at Calais. 12 PAU TOUR AND PYRENEAN ADVENTURE 15TH - 21ST MAY The Grand Prix de Pau Historique remains one of our favourites on the Historic Motor racing calendar. Set in a lovely old city with thrilling views of the Pyrenees, this is the oldest and most exciting of the remaining street circuits and provides great racing and a convivial atmosphere. Our central hotel is adjacent to the track, with excellent views of the circuit. The daily itinerary is as follows: TUESDAY 15TH Our tour begins in Portsmouth where we will board the 22:45 sailing to Caen. Your Classic GT tour manager will be on hand to greet you at check-in where he/she will direct you to our dedicated loading line. Having checked in, we will board the ship together and find our overnight cabin accommodation. WEDNESDAY 16TH MAY Having disembarked the ferry around 08:00hrs, the first part of our journey takes us on a short drive to the town of Putanges. Here we will enjoy a typical French breakfast by the river before continuing our journey to the Hotel de France in La Chartre-sur-le-Loir. Here we will enjoy a fabulous light lunch and have a chance to take in the motor racing history the hotel portrays so well. After lunch, we continue our journey to our first overnight stop, the newly renovated Fontevraud Abbey. We should arrive with plenty of time to wander around the abbey grounds before sitting down for dinner prepared by their acclaimed chef in the hotel restaurant. THURSDAY 17TH MAY After breakfast at the hotel, we will aim to depart around 10:00hrs to allow plenty of time to enjoy today s scenic drive. Our destination is the stunning Chateau des Vigiers, a chateau-style hotel set on a 27-hole golf course. En route, we will stop for lunch at a hotel restaurant by the river in the town of Confolens, a beautiful place for a pit stop. After lunch, we will get back in the cars for the final stint of the day to our overnight stop. Upon arrival at the hotel, we will park the cars in front of the Chateau for a photo opportunity before meeting in the hotel restaurant for dinner. FRIDAY 18TH MAY Today we depart for Pau. The first part of our journey takes us into Gascony to a Ferme Auberge near St Medard for a lunch. Our lunch spot is a fabulous duck farm and a restaurant we would call a hidden gem. After lunch, we take a short drive to the Parc Beaumont hotel in Pau. This hotel s location could not be better to enjoy a race weekend with your hotel room balcony overlooking one of the most exciting corners on the racetrack. With the weekend in full swing, the town of Pau has lots to offer with pop up bars, live music and a fantastic atmosphere. The evening is free for you to enjoy. SATURDAY 19TH MAY This morning you will hear the beautiful sounds of historic racing cars practising around the circuit. After breakfast, we will meet in the hotel car park and drive to our private club parking area. You can watch the racing from the Palais Beaumont grandstand before we take to the track in our cars for the club parade laps. Lunch today is in the Au Fin Gourmet restaurant within the main paddock area where we have a set menu including wine arranged. After 12

13 lunch, you are free to enjoy the remainder of the afternoons racing and once again, this evening is free for you to enjoy Pau. SUNDAY 20TH MAY Today the racing begins around 08:00hrs. Once you have had a good breakfast you can either return to your hotel balcony to watch some of the racing or head over to the paddock for a close up look at all the cars. Lunch will take place and the same restaurant today. As the race weekend ends, you are free to enjoy the town of Pau as it celebrates a fantastic weekend of motor racing. MONDAY 21ST MAY After an exciting weekend of historic racing, we head for Santander to board our crossing back to the U.K. For this journey we recommend the most direct route however you re welcome to drive your own route at your own pace. WHAT S INCLUDED: Return Brittany Ferries sailings with cabin accommodation included each way. 14 PYRENEAN ADVENTURE 21ST - 24TH MAY After an exciting weekend of historic racing at the circuit of Pau, we begin our adventure into and across the Pyrenees. We will traverse some of the most beautiful mountain passes that Northern Spain has to offer whilst taking in the breath-taking views. This three-night extension visits three excellent hotels. Our first night is spent in the mountains in the town of Vielha before dropping down into Pamplona for our second night. Our final night is spent on the seafront in Hondaribbia as recently featured in The Trip to Spain with Rob Brydon and Steve Coogan. The daily itinerary is as follows: MONDAY 21ST MAY Today you will experience a full day of beautiful Pyrenean driving. We take a coffee break before climbing the stunning Col d Aspin entering the Pyrenees National Park and onto the Col de Peyresourde. After lunch, we cross the Col du Portilon where we enter Spain at its summit. Our Parador hotel is set in the hills above the town. Dinner with wine is included at the hotel this evening. WEDNESDAY 23RD MAY Timings allow for a more relaxed day today and an early arrival at our hotel in Hondarribia. We continue our scenic drive from Pamplona via lake Eugi before heading towards Hondarribia. Once again your tour manager will show you around the town and to a couple of local wine bars down the cobbled streets. We have organised a fabulous menu at a local restaurant this evening with wine included. The Parador Hondaribbia overlooks the Harbour and boasts incredible ruins which have been beautifully retained within the design of this hotel. THURSDAY 24TH MAY Today we use the Autoroutes and most direct route to Bilbao to catch our afternoon and overnight sailing to Portsmouth. The ferry docks in Portsmouth in the afternoon of Friday 29th May. THE PRICE: 749 per person based on two sharing a twin/double room. Please contact us for information on single supplements. TUESDAY 22ND MAY We begin today s journey heading south from Vielha passing through the mountain tunnels and following the Noguera Ribagorzana River. Once again we will enjoy the sweeping mountain roads as we get closer to our overnight destination, the 5 star Gran Hotel La Perla in Pamplona. This evening your tour manager will show you to a fabulous local restaurant via the city streets which are home to the world famous Pamplona Bull Run. 14

15 THE IRELAND TOUR 23RD TO 29TH JULY Spend six nights touring the stunning Irish roads, taking in the great sights and finest dining in some of the best hotels this beautiful island has to offer. The daily itinerary is as follows: MONDAY 23RD JULY Our tour starts at Holyhead, Wales as we enjoy the Club Class comfort of the ferry crossing to Dublin. Upon arrival, we make our way up to Galgorm Resort and Spa on the River Maine, just north of Belfast. There will be a cocktail reception before dining in the elegant River Room overlooking the river. TUESDAY 24TH JULY After breakfast, we make the short drive into Belfast to visit the Titanic Museum. Later, a Black Cab will take you on a guided tour of the famous landmarks in and around Belfast including the Political Murals and Belfast Castle. You will have the choice of which hotel restaurant to dine in this evening. WEDNESDAY 25TH JULY Today we join the Causeway Coastal Route, a great driving road that will take us to the Giant s Causeway. We then head to the Bushmills Distillery before following the beautiful route across to Donegal in the West of Ireland for two nights at the superb Lough Eske Castle Hotel. THURSDAY 26TH JULY Today is a free day to explore the wild North West coast and picturesque towns of Donegal, or, try a spot of fly fishing, take a picnic, follow one of the many trails by the lake, or simply relax in the serene spa. FRIDAY 27TH JULY Our route takes us southwards today through Sligo and Westport on the Wild Atlantic Way South to our first class hotel in County Mayo. The Lodge at Ashford Castle is set in 350 acres of magnificent estate overlooking Lake Corrib. SATURDAY 28TH JULY Today, you may choose to drive east to the Wild Atlantic Way, the Sky Road and the hills of Connemara or South to the weird but wonderful landscape of The Burren. With this in mind, over the years we have developed a package which contains all the vital elements, as well as some luxury inclusions, to give you everything required for a superb weekend s motor racing. The daily Itinerary is as follows: THURSDAY 5TH JULY Sailing from Portsmouth to Caen on the Thursday overnight crossing, you will arrive in the evening and be greeted by a Classic Grand Touring Tour Manager. As we wait to board, there is a huge buzz of excitement amongst the loading lines. You will be surrounded by classic cars, supercars, in fact so many special cars from all over the UK, with their owners eager to show off their pride and joy. It doesn t matter what you are driving as you will immediately feel part of the tremendous weekend ahead. You will be guided to a loading line and our experienced staff will ensure you are carefully parked aboard the ship. Once on board, you can locate your cabin accommodation and then head for the restaurant, or bar, to join the throng of like-minded motor racing and car enthusiasts all heading to Le Mans. FRIDAY 6TH JULY We have planned a scenic route on some great driving roads, away from the traffic, through pretty French villages and countryside, past chateaux and orchards to take you to the legendary Hotel de France in the small town of La-Chartre-sur-le-Loir. Today, you will be privileged to enjoy lunch in the hotel s restaurant as it is in great demand over this weekend. The atmosphere in the town during the Le Mans race weekend is very special, as is the town square in front of the hotel. The hotel itself is filled with motor racing history and is the focal point for car enthusiasts from around the world. You can immerse yourself in the Friday pre-race atmosphere, specific to this iconic hotel as, throughout the day, the square will become a destination for amazing cars and personalities. After lunch, when you are ready, you can drive into the circuit to see some of the practice races or go across to Cerans-Foulletourte to check into the Chateau Domaine de Bel Air, for the exclusive use of Classic Grand Touring clients and just 10 minutes from Arnage. After an exciting first day, you can enjoy a refreshing swim in the indoor pool and prepare for this evening s Welcome to Le Mans Barbeque in the lovely grounds of the Château. SATURDAY 7TH JULY After a traditional French breakfast, you can head into the circuit at Le Mans. Over the weekend you will benefit from our privileged car parking spot on the infield Bugatti circuit, where you have complimentary refreshments throughout the weekend in our hospitality area. As Classic Grand Touring s marquee is on the route from the Paddocks to the track, all the cars taking part will be passing by bringing the grid lineups of fantastic cars right to us. 17 This evening, as darkness falls enhancing the magic, a very special Michelin starred dinner has been arranged in the exclusive Welcome Building by the track which has a viewing balcony overlooking the start/finish straight. Whenever you are ready you can return to the Château. SUNDAY 8TH JULY After breakfast on Sunday, you can come and go from the track as you please until the racing finishes that afternoon. The hospitality will remain open for you to enjoy until late afternoon. Today, you can explore the Le Mans Classic Village, watch the racing from your seat in the Grandstand or simply put your feet up inside our marquee and watch the cavalcade of cars roll past. As we are situated amongst one of Europe s largest car club gatherings, this is a spectacle in itself. This evening, dinner has been arranged at the Château. MONDAY 9TH JULY Following a more leisurely breakfast this morning, you can relax by the pool and in the grounds of the Chateau. The daily itinerary is as follows: SATURDAY 4TH AUGUST Our rendezvous will be in Folkestone at the Eurotunnel Flexiplus café where we will board our morning crossing to Calais. Upon arrival in Calais, we begin the first 180- mile stint of the tour down to the beautiful Champagne region in France. We will lunch halfway to Champagne before arriving at the 5* Chateau de Fere. Dinner is included at the fabulous Chateau restaurant. SUNDAY 5TH AUGUST After a beautifully prepared French breakfast, we warm the cars ready to begin the D-road drive down to the next hotel, the Hotel Le Cedre in Beaune, just west of Dijon. Before we begin the main part of our journey we will visit the old Circuit de Reims-Geaux for a photo opportunity in front of the old pit buildings. Once again we will enjoy the gorgeous food on offer in our private dining room for dinner at the hotel this evening. MONDAY 6TH AUGUST Today we cross the border into Switzerland to the stunning Hotel Belvedere in Grindelwald that looks directly at the famous Eiger mountain, our base for the next three nights. We will stop for lunch in Lausanne overlooking Lake Geneva before heading up into the Swiss mountains. Upon arrival at the hotel, we will enjoy a welcome aperitif on the hotel balcony with fabulous views followed by a locally sourced Swiss dinner in the hotel restaurant. TUESDAY 7TH AUGUST The tour continues with a short drive from the Hotel in Grindelwald to Lauterbrunnen. We will park the cars in Stechelberg and make our way up to Murren by cable car before a short walk to the Schilthorn cable car. We will head 2,970m above sea level where scenes from the Bond film On Her Majesties Secret Service were filmed. Lunch will be in the panoramic revolving restaurant and we will visit the Bond World museum at the top of the mountain. We can also enjoy the famous skyline walk located at the Birg cable car station. If you would prefer to take a drive out to visit some beautiful parts of Switzerland, we have a route ready to go with a fabulous lunch stop should the trip up the mountain is not your cup of tea. Dinner with wine is included at the hotel this evening. WEDNESDAY 8TH AUGUST After breakfast, we head down to the car park to get the cars fired up ready for the drive to the Chedi Hotel in Andermatt. Our drive involves both the Grimsel Pass and the Furka Pass as we wind our way around these fantastic roads peaking at 2,426 metres above sea level. We will pass the Grand Hotel Glacier du Rhone which featured in the James Bond Goldfinger film and drives through the famous town of Realp where we will attempt to recreate a scene from the film Goldfinger. This evening you are free to enjoy the town of Andermatt or enjoy a lovely meal in the Hotel s stunning restaurant. 18

19 THURSDAY 9TH AUGUST Having enjoyed a very relaxing morning at the Chedi Hotel, we have arranged to board the newly built gondola to go up into the mountains in Andermatt. Our destination is one of the beautiful mountain restaurants for a typical Swiss lunch with stunning views. The rest of the afternoon is free for you to either enjoy the many hotel spa facilities or continue exploring the mountains. This evening we will have dinner in our private dining room in the hotel restaurant. FRIDAY 10TH AUGUST After breakfast, we begin our journey back into France. On our way out of Andermatt, we will stop at the Pilatus Aircraft Factory in Stans for a private tour which was another location for a number of scenes in Goldfinger. The route takes us on beautiful French D roads through the Ballons des Vosges Nature Park. This evening our finale dinner is included at the stunning Chateau d Adomenil in Luneville. SATURDAY 11TH AUGUST Today marks the end of the tour, however, the crossing is on a Flexiplus basis, therefore, you may choose the crossing that suits you best as well as the route you wish to take. 20 ANGOULEME CIRCUIT DES REMPARTS 12TH - 17TH SEPTEMBER This event has to be one of our firm favourites, 2017 will be our 24th consecutive year in attendance and we are taking steps to ensure it is one of the best. We have seen many changes over the years but the ethos remain the same. A truly classic event which is as much about the social aspect as it is the cars! The whole weekend is packed with events starting with a Concours d Elegance, a rally through the Cognac vineyards, a gala buffet in the impressive covered market and of course the racing on the city s Remparts. We are pleased to continue in our capacity as the official tour operator for the event. Not only does this give us access to the best tickets but also our exclusive hospitality tent and high-quality rooms at the best hotel in town. The daily Itinerary is as follows: WEDNESDAY 12TH SEPTEMBER The tour begins in Portsmouth where we have arranged a special loading line for our cars on the 20:30hrs sailing overnight to St Malo. Aboard get to know your fellow rally companions as we congregate in the private lounge on board. This evening both your onboard accommodation and dinner is included. THURSDAY 13TH SEPTEMBER On arrival into France follow our carefully selected routes on pretty roads via a coffee and croissant stop overlooking the lake at Combourg. We then continue to the stunning Chateau Le Lude for lunch and a guided tour of the Chateau. We park our cars within the grounds for a special photo opportunity before a short drive to our overnight stay at the ex-aston Martin Team hotel at La Chartre sur le Loir. This evening we have a fabulous French dinner included at the hotel. FRIDAY 14TH SEPTEMBER After a traditional French breakfast at the hotel, we have a very pretty drive down past Tours and through the Vienne valley with a suggested coffee stop in one of the regions prettiest villages. We provide a light lunch just a few miles from the coffee stop before beginning the final part of the journey to Angoulême. Having put the cars to bed for the evening in the secure underground car park and checked into your hotel room we will distribute your rally packs and tickets over a private drinks reception. This evening is free for you to familiarise yourself with the town and visit the Concours d Elegance. SATURDAY 15TH SEPTEMBER This morning the scenic rally (for eligible cars) departs on some extremely fine roads surrounding Angoulême. There are checkpoint/refreshment points along the way and an excellent 4-course lunch taken at a surprise location. This evening you have tickets for the competitor s gala buffet in the covered market. Classic Grand Touring have their own private area in the covered market with a private wine bar and canapes. SUNDAY 16TH SEPTEMBER Today the racing begins! Practice and qualifying take place on the circuit during the morning sessions. We have an exclusive hospitality tent for Classic GT guests for you to use at your leisure throughout the day serving light refreshments and an area to 20

21 relax. Your race tickets will provide access to the paddock and a numbered seat in the Cathedral grandstand on the start-finish straight with a big screen so you do not miss any of the action. MONDAY 17TH SEPTEMBER After our final breakfast in Angoulême, we travel back to the port in Caen for our 23:00hrs crossing back to Portsmouth. 22 SPANISH TOUR 7TH - 16TH SEPTEMBER Sailing from Portsmouth to Santander on a luxury overnight cruise ferry you will follow the amazing roads along the Asturian coast of Northern Spain before heading down into Portugal. With stunning scenery all the way, you will drive corkscrew roads up into the mountains and sweep along wide open roads through vineyards and olive groves. In Spain, you will be staying at Paradors, magnificent historic buildings that used to be monasteries or castles which are now luxury hotels. The drive out of Portugal along the Douro valley and back into Spain offers some of the most beautiful vistas we have ever seen. FRIDAY 7TH SEPTEMBER Our tour begins with a cruise from Portsmouth to Santander on the Brittany Ferries ship, Cap Finistere. This ship has a swimming pool and spa area, a cinema and a promenade for pleasant deck stroll. On a calm day, you are almost guaranteed to see a whale or dolphin as you cross the Bay of Biscay. You will also find an a la carte restaurant, cafes and bars allowing you to relax and enjoy as you head to Spain. SATURDAY 8TH SEPTEMBER After a drive along the Asturian coastline, your first night in Spain will be at a former palace at the highest point of the Soto del Barco. It has a backdrop of the entire estuary of the river Nalón giving the perfect photo opportunity. After a cocktail reception this evening, you will savour a typically Spanish dinner. SUNDAY 9TH SEPTEMBER After breakfast, you will follow a scenic route south to the capital of the Province of León. The city of León is home to many churches and cathedrals noted for their architecture and art. Among them is the Gothic 13th-century Catedral de Léon, with its towers and flying buttresses and the Romanesque 10th-century Basílica de San Isidoro known for its frescoes and royal tombs. The city has narrow streets to explore and beautiful parks to wander through. Dinner will be at the hotel stunning Real Colegiata Hotel this evening. MONDAY 10TH SEPTEMBER Today brings you a wonderful drive with contrasting scenery and roads as you cross from Spain into Portugal - you will corkscrew up into the mountains with spectacular views and then sweep through vineyards and olive groves. The last leg of the journey takes you through the pine forests of the National Parco de Pinhoa. Our hotel, nestled in the centre of the Douro valley, is a beautiful working vineyard in a breathtaking setting with views of the river. TUESDAY 11TH SEPTEMBER Today is a free day to relax in the sun on the terraces overlooking the river or to explore the very pretty local towns. This evening you will visit a truly beautiful local vineyard for a tour and tastings of their table wines and ports. If the harvest is underway you may be invited to help as this is one of the rare vineyards where the grapes are still pressed by foot. Supper is a sumptuous banquet of local delicacies which you could take in a picnic basket for an al fresco dining experience into their lovely garden or find a shady spot in the vineyard. This is a treat to have exclusive use of this private racing track and we have booked a good amount of time to make sure everyone can enjoy plenty of laps before lunch. However, you must leave time to see the private collection of 400 stunning cars owned by the same very fortunate man. We will have lunch in a bijou restaurant near to Le Manoir and then drive on, via Rennes and Le Mans, to the Hotel de France in La Chartre-sur-le Loir. Tonight we will be served a splendid dinner in the hotel restaurant, the Relais de Ronsard. WEDNESDAY 10TH OCTOBER After a traditional French breakfast at the hotel, we will take a leisurely drive down to the Loire at Saumur passing through chalkstone villages, forest, wildflowers and the beautiful vineyards of Bourgeuil to take us to the wine cellars of Bouvet Ladubay. Here, we will explore the art of Methode Traditionelle sparkling wines and of course, we will taste a selection of their fine wines. We have arranged a light lunch, with more wine (or soft drinks!) at Bouvet. Then, if you wish, you could stroll along the Loire or around the mediaeval town of Saumur, which sits elegantly astride the river. You could also take a short drive along the Loire to see the extraordinary troglodyte settlements built into the cliff face before heading back to La Chartre-sur-le-Loir for a very special evening s entertainment. THURSDAY 11TH OCTOBER Following breakfast, we offer a day based on the Le Mans 24 hour Race. Leaving the hotel at 10.30am, we will follow the route to the circuit as used by the team cars driving to and from the circuit between 1953 and 1963, including the 1959 winning cars. At midday, you will enjoy the thrill of driving onto the Bugatti track at the Le Mans circuit. After lining up on the grids, you will drive 24
