Dec announcing Flinders Monument site is open, subject to the conditions in the licence advising no flying at monument on 25 April (Anzac day) while event is in progress warning of planned burn off at Big Hill and associated potential helicopter activity in the area (burn off has been done) from returning local pilot asking about Craigie Road and Sunnyside Peter to reply to pilot warning of traffic management at Mystic over Easter and another advising major roadwork will be happening in May at Mystic VHPA Meeting Minutes approved 23 May of 5

CLUB REPORTS Air Hogs Dynasoarers 7.1 SIV PG course in NSW had two incidents (SIV: Simulation d'incident en Vol ) 7.2 HG accident at Dalby, pilot launched downwind, weak link break at low altitude. 7.3 PG2 pilots have been launching at Mystic without permission 7.4 Sight seeing helicopter flights have been observed flying close to the hill at Mystic and other HG/PG flying locations. Mark to contact Brett of HGFA to contact HAA and NEVHGC to try and contact the relevant helicopter pilot(s). 7.5 PG fatality at Goulbourn when unlicensed pilot attempted to tow up behind a ute. 8.1 Monument launch is now open. Signed license now received. Steve to scan and send PDF to Jan to put on website. Original to go back to Adam 8.2 Peter has got the invoice for $88.00 for the sign at Monument and payment was approved 8.3 Mark called Tim Shepherd of PV re sites that need to be added to list of site on the PV license, but has had no response. Rob to discuss with Andrew McKinnen of PV Dave Tymms has bought a property at Murchison and Air Hogs plan to fly from it. He has no objection to it being listed in the Site Guide. There is a possibility of improving the weather station at Altona Yacht Club and Air Hogs may request funding to upgrade it. Winkipop launch closed till end of week due to surfing comp. 3 WVHGC NTR 10. HGFA REP Notes from HGFA telecom meeting held 17/4/2017 NSWHPA; NSWHPA has obtained 3 state grants; 1. Female only Paragliding Pilot training and development clinics. 2. Tree lopping at North Brother Launch - Laurieton NSW. 3. Maintenance and upgrade of Long Reef Flying site. Has provided Australian Worlds hang gliding team $1500 per NSW team member Seeking HGFA grant $14,500 to run XC clinic Forwarded grant request from HG comp committee for HG worlds team $41,800 (6 team, 2 reserves & 1 manager). Worlds are in August. Increased NSW State Development Levy from $38.50 to $45 for 2017/18 membership year Has requested Online Learning be available in Resources VHPA Meeting Minutes approved 23 May of 5 VIC; ACT; TAS; QLD; section of new HGFA website. PG collision with member of public on landing at Stanwell Reported still awaiting response re mandatory 1 st Aid certs for SSO Notified AGM upcoming in August and 2 proposals (SAF & election/nomination of state rep) Seeking release of survey results to SRA s & clubs (results apply throughout organisation) given. Mark to obtain copy of report. Lake George (Gearys) site still closed. Alternate site being used. Looking to engage legal advice/support. Estimated cost $7000. ACTHPA does not have sufficient $ Has permit from HCC to clear more vegetation on Mt. Wellington/kunyani Confirmed at last RAPAC Tasmania meeting they have part airspace back in the Midlands, effective May 2017 Working with SEQ clubs to address illegal flying of visitor pilots SEQ roadshow will be finalised in next 2 weeks (to combine N & S Qld associations) Other items; Non-member PG pilot fatality has occurred (Goulburn). May become criminal case as 3 rd party was involved. No further information available. ATSB to start investigation tomorrow in conjunction with HGFA Spinal injury (PG) during SIV today in the Hunter Region

4 Long discussion on HG worlds team request. Outcome CoM agreed to $22,250 one off with conditions. Long discussion on Personal accident Insurance regarding tandems/tifs exclusion. Discussion regarding terms of employment for one of the staff members 11. GENERAL BUSINESS 11.1 Constitutional changes: SAF agreed to retitle SAF as SARF: Site Acquisition and Retention Fund and take out word administrative, HGFA Rep: agreed to wording except use HGFA instead of National Board and drop of management on last line. Steve to write up and seek committee approval of final wording to go into Constitutional Change proposal for AGM FINANCIAL APPROVALS 12.1 $ for Parks Vic annual licence fee 12.2 $88.00 for Monument sign 13.
