Couples Cruise (Unofficial) Packing Guide Couple s Cruise didn t write this, a Blonde having a natural blonde moment did, so please don t blame them if you find a problem with the list. If you like the list, or have some ideas to add please me at ripadip@hotmail.com so I can update the list! Information I have included several different lists to help with your packing. First there are his and hers lists. There are list for packing your carry-on bags. There is a list for packing for the in port excursions. Finally there is a Master List with everything from all of the other lists on it. How Many Bags Should You Take? How many bags you want to take is up to you. Remember that the airlines will often charge extra for your bags EVEN THE FIRST BAG, (except the Southwest Airlines at two free bags per person). Our magic number is 6 luggage items. This provided us enough space for everything we took and enough space to pack all of the things we purchased or collected during the trip. 4 Bags that we check both on the airline and at the ship terminal. 1 Backpack style for carry on (both the plane and the ship) o Also used on shore excursions 1 Medium roller style bag for carry on (that will fit in the overhead bin of the airplane)

For the two carry-on bags we take with us, the roller bag contains things we need should our luggage be late. The backpack contains things we need quick access to at the cruise ship terminal. The backpack is also nice because you can use it as a day pack during shore excursions. Add a colored ribbon or something similar to your bags, something that will make it standout. At the end of the cruise, your bag will have been picked up the night before arrival at the terminal. When you get off the boat, your bags will be in a large warehouse style room that contains the bags of approximately 2,000+ fellow cruisers. Having something unique to help your spot your bag from afar is a great idea! General Packing Considerations Remember when packing leave room for items you collect during the trip. If you arrive the night before, you can reorganize your bags before you get on the boat. We pack one way for the trip to Tampa and then changed out a few things for the trip onto the boat. We had 6 bags, we did two as carry-on bags and checked 4 curbside. We could have checked everything if we wanted to. I believe it is wise not to check certain things such as medications, valuables, and basic toiletry items. We also had swimsuits, beach wraps, and our dinner clothes for that evening in our carry-on. We were glad we did so because one of our bags was held up and we did not get it until after dinner. How Many Days to Pack For? The Cruise is 6 days and 5 nights. It s a lifestyle cruise so you have an excuse to get your sexy outfits outs. But remember that on Saturday morning, whatever you wear off the boat should be Vanilla World appropriate. Packing for a cruise is not like packing for other types of vacations. Packing for a Couples Cruise trumps them all. Remember that it will be very warm and humid. If you are coming from Michigan or Iowa, you may want to brave the elements and wear shorts and T-shirts when you get on the plane, or change once you get to Tampa. Remember to bring a sweater for the plane ride to and from. For us, we are arriving mid-afternoon on Saturday, so the list below starts then.

Outfit Summary Activity Her Him Saturday Day Dinner Evening Sunday Day Dinner Evening Monday Day Dinner Evening Tuesday Day Dinner Evening Wednesday Day Dinner Evening Thursday Day Dinner Evening Pre-Party in Tampa Pre-Party in Tampa Depart Caribbean Casual for Dinner 80's Party Cruising Formal Night for Dinner Pajama Party Night Belize City Mardi Gras Night Playa Del Carmen Pirates & Wenches Ball Friday Day Dinner Evening Crusing Dress in Blue Night Saturday Return to Port Appropriate for Trip Home Appropriate for Trip Home Day Dinner Traveling Back to Las Vegas Back in Las Vegas (early Evening evening)

Day Pack Guide This list is of things you should pack into your Day Pack when you go ashore at the various ports of calls. Remember to pack things appropriate for your excursion. This list may not have everything you want to take with you and may have other things you may want to leave behind. Binoculars Camera and/or Video Camera o Check your batteries before you go Change of Socks Insect Repellent o (a must for some of the more inland excursions like the Mayan ruins) Garbage Sack, heavy plastic. o If you are caught in a down pour away from shelter or the boat, you can put your pack and items you want to keep dry inside the bag. Rain Gear Travel Umbrella Sun Hats Sun Screen Swim Suit (if you are heading to the beach) Sail Pass & Passport

What You Cannot Take On Board Weapons of any kind Drugs Candles or Incense Clothes Irons Coffee Makers Hot Plates Baseball Bats (or any other kind of club) Hockey Sticks Bow & Arrows Skateboards Surfboards Pepper Spray Handcuffs Any flammable liquids Fireworks or explosives HAM Radios Harmful chemicals include household items like Bleach Alcohol Scissor greater than 4 in length

Tips: z When you are packed and ready to go, wrap your bags around the center with 2 Blue Painter s tape. Next write Royal Caribbean Radiance Terminal 3, Cabin #### Sail Date 4/25. Why do this? Should the airlines lose your bags most will make an effort to deliver your bags before sail time to the terminal. The painter s tape won t leave any messy glue on your luggage. z When we received our luggage which will be delivered to your stateroom, we unloaded everything into the ample drawers and closets available in the room. We then stowed our luggage under the bed. This is a reason to avoid the very wide bags that won t fit under a typical bed. z Never pack anything in your luggage you cannot stand to lose forever. z Tape your name, address and phone number on the inside of each piece of luggage. z Leave space in your bag for things you collect during the cruise. You will likely leave with more than you came with. Bringing a collapsible bag or two can also help with packing items off of the boat at the end of the cruise. z Things such as medications (over the counter), film, batteries, sundries can be purchase on the boat, but they are very expensive. Bring your own if you can. z Bring the small sample sized bottles of liquid sundries, they take less luggage space and you won t feel bad about leaving them behind if you run out of packing space due to things you collect on your cruise.

z Put your valuables in the room safe as soon as you arrive. Keep your passports there when you are not using them. z Taking a Camel Pack along is great for strenuous excursions that require hiking or where water might not be readily available. z A Day Pack is a near must. It makes a great carry-on and provides a space to put items you will need while shore in during port excursions. Fanny packs also work great on excursions. z You will be in the tropics cotton clothing is best. Wear cotton socks on excursions on-shore. Having a blister during a while out site seeing is not fun. z There are laundry services on the boat, it s pretty pricy. z Leave the dryer clean plastic on your outfits, they will wrinkle less in transit. We ask our dry cleaner to individual wrap items we are taking on the cruise. We pay about $0.25 extra to our cleaner to have shirts folded for the trip and its worth it. z Coffee drinkers bring a large travel mug with you. They will fill it up in the Wind Jammer Café. z Walkie-Talkies are handy if you are traveling with a group and want to stay in touch with each other on the boat and on excursions.
