To keep your children busy and happy, many campgrounds have children's playgrounds, some have wading or children's swimming pools, and some offer special organised activities for children. The quality and the number of amenities available increase with the number of stars assigned to the campground. Regardless of the star categorisation, all Slovenian campgrounds must form an integral whole, both in terms of area and function, must be fenced and secured, have an entrance gate and floodlit entrance at night (during open season), and have an access road at least three metres wide. Every campground must have flat and well-kept camping sites, a parking area at the entrance, safety-deposit boxes, a campfire area, and at least three metres of clearance between tents. All roads and paths to the reception desk and washroom facilities must be floodlit at night. If a campground has 100+ camping sites, a campground map is mandatory. 4 ONE-STAR CAMPGROUND «The surface area of an individual tent site must measure an average of at least 55 square metres. At least 40 percent of camping sites must have electrical connections. TWO-STAR CAMPGROUND ««The surface area of an individual tent site must measure an average of at least 60 square metres. At least 50 percent of camping sites must have electrical connections. THREE-STAR CAMPGROUND «««The surface area of an individual tent site must measure an average of at least 70 square metres. At least 60 percent of camping sites must have electrical connections. The campground has an Internet area and runs organised recreational activities for guests, and there is a grocery store within a one kilometre radius. It is located directly next to the sea in beautiful natural surroundings: in the shade of 100-year old cedars and pine trees, anyone can find his/her space. If you would like more comfortable accommodation, there are mobile houses or luxurious Hobby trailers with complete camping gear at the guest's disposal. A mild climate, the flagrant Mediterranean flora and arranged footpaths attract lovers of outdoor accommodation throughout the year. It is also visited by people with breathing problems, since the campsite is located in the direct vicinity of the children's seaside climatic spa. The campsite is less than a one-hour drive away from Ljubljana and only 10 minutes from Koper or the Italian border. It represents an excellent starting point for sightseeing in the Slovenian tourist sights and around Istria. The safe, shady and sheltered numerous paths and playgrounds are ideal for families with small children. Moreover, the campsite is also accessible for disabled persons it is the only campsite on the coast with a lift for disabled persons in an outdoor pool. Pets are also welcome they can avail of toilets, shower and a beach just for them. There are also four restaurants and bars with rich culinary delights right by the sea. A vast beach with piers, an Olympic and children s pool, water sports facilities, tennis courts, a bowling area and wellness centre with heated sea water these are only some of the recreational, entertainment and relaxation possibilities. It is situated amidst the Mura River fields, far away from the industrial centres. The classical campsite has 130 camping spots and 50 naturist spots. It s the first naturist campsite next to thermal water in Europe. Healing water runs to the surface from depths of more than 1500 metres and has an initial temperature of 60 degrees Celsius. The Ministry of Health declared it a natural healing product to be used for healing injuries and post-operation conditions after bone, joint or muscle surgery. Guests can relax in three outdoor pools with thermal water (from 34 to 38 degrees Celsius), a swimming pool with regular water, one with a slide and a children's pool with a total surface of 1920 square meters. The world of saunas, massages, baths and peelings takes care of the beauty of the body and soul. There are also several sports and recreation possibilities (cycling, tennis, table tennis, volleyball) and for excursions to the nearby surroundings: a visit to the beekeeping museum, boat ride on the Mura River, kite ride above Prlekija or a visit to a mill in Veržej. The surroundings of Banovci are also famous for its top-level wines, cheeses, trotters and beautiful pottery. This beautiful hotel under the stars is located directly on the coast of Lake Bled, in the shade of large trees and at the foot of the Julian Alps. It is located 2 kilometres away from the centre of Bled - due to its remoteness, the tranquillity and idyllic nature are even more prevalent. The campsite belongs to the highest category of campsites. Moreover, it is especially friendly for families with children. The hosts take care of a diverse animation program for adults and children. The campsite is also ideal for bicyclists since it offers numerous possibilities for lovers of hiking, cycling and sports activities. In the surroundings, there are golf facilities, possibilities for canyoning and rafting, basketball and volleyball playgrounds and even riding on Lipizzaner horses around Triglav National Park. Guests will be convinced of the beautiful gifts of nature during guided bird-watching trips. Under the shady trees along the whispering and lively green-blue river, guests can find their peace and relaxation on the 4.5 hectare camping area. The campsite has modern equipped sanitary facilities, including a modern laundry and station for campers. There is also a picnic area and free Internet access. Lovers of camping recommend annually parking a trailer or caravan for the summer. The campsite is ideal for families and anyone who loves active holidays in nature. The varied selection of sports/recreational possibilities and animation program guarantee an exciting stay. Indian Village, Pirate Bay and Wild West are ideal as an adventure vacation for all generations, and are also upgraded by the summer and winter Thermal Riviera. In the direct vicinity of the campsite, guests can swim in numerous thermal water pools, enjoy wellness centres or relax in the Sauna Park; they can also satisfy their sports soul in one of the Čatež sports facilities. It is situated between the natural pearls of the Soča Valley: Soča riverbed, waterfalls of the Kozjak stream and the famous Napoleon bridge, the restored front line of the First World War and Roman settlement of Tonocov grad. There are camping spots available on small terraces in the forest, communallyequipped parcels or in the sun. Those who prefer more comfort can find accommodation in the ecological log cabins: wood, comfortable beds, balcony, terrace, plants and blooming surroundings provide the real luxury of accommodation. Campsite guests have numerous possibilities for activities connected to hills, sky or water. One can bathe in the warm Nadiža River, while the Soča River is best used for rafting, kayaking or fishing. The Soča Valley can also be overflown with paragliding or hang-gliding, while the most persistent outdoorsmen cycle through it. Mountain lovers use the Koren campsite as a starting point for short or long trips to Triglav National Park. The six hectares of a green oasis, as the only tourist-relaxation centre in Slovenia, offer guests a wide selection of services: campsite, hotel, summer houses, the Štern restaurant and other catering services, Laguna Summer Swimming Pool Complex featuring numerous water attractions, multipurpose hall, covered sports centre and other possibilities for sports-recreational activities. The presence of water and trees, sights of the Karavanke peaks and beautiful grassy spots provide unique character. The landscape beauty of the campsite is only supplemented by the wide selection of facilities and services for comfortable accommodation in nature: Šobec offers 400 arranged camping spots with electricity installations on 15 hectares, three modern sanitary facilities, 12 washing facilities, restaurant, bar, shop and venue for a rich daily activity program during the main season. It lies on a partially grassy and wooded surface on the bank of the unspoilt Savinja River. The beautiful Logarska Valley at the height of 500 metres is only a few steps away. It is an ideal starting point for hiking and water sports. If you would like to spend a night in the campsite and do not have your own tent, you can rent a tent or use the campsite's bungalows or holiday trailers. One can also rent kayaks and rafts, while guided tours along the Savinja River are organised from May to October; moreover, one can fish and bathe in the river during the summer. It is mandatory to see its spring, the 100-meter high Rinka waterfall in the Logarska Valley. This natural pearl offers, on top of its natural sights, such as Robanov kot, Matkov kot, Snežna jama, Potočka zijalka, etc., several other sports and recreational facilities primarily hiking, mountaineering, alpinism, cycling, parachuting, riding, rafting and kayaking; tennis lovers can play a game on one of the two sandy tennis courts on the campsite. Mountain lovers will probably take a rucksack and head toward Raduha, Ojstrica, Korošica, Krofička, Brana and other peaks of the Kamnik-Savinja Alps. 14

In harmony with the unspoilt nature and beneficial healing water, it is located on a flatland along the Sotla River, right beside the Aqualuna Thermal Park. It is friendly to families with children, guests who would like to indulge themselves and anyone who desires a beautiful vacation. The Aqualuna, with its numerous water attractions and entertainment activities for the entire family, attracts many guests; however, since the campers are, at the same time, guests of the Olimia spa, they can relax in the Termalija Wellness Centre pools, where water is enriched with magnesium and calcium, which are indispensable to the correct functioning of the nerves and muscles. The body and soul can be spoilt in the Orhidelia Wellness Centre, the luxurious world of saunas and pools. In 2009, Orhidelia was ranked among 11 finalists of the 2009 World Architecture Festival 2009; namely, in the Holidays category. The campsite is only a kilometre away from one of the oldest and most beautiful medieval towns, Ptuj. Along the Drava River, where healing thermal water bursts from 1100 metres with the temperature of 56 degrees Celsius, a modern spa and recreational centre has developed, including a campsite that enables stays by trailers and tents, rental of apartments, bungalows and camping houses. In 2012, the campsite gained a new special type of accommodation: one can sleep in large wine barrels that offer almost all the comfort of an outdoor hotel room. In accordance with the rich tradition of winemaking in Ptuj, eight large wine barrels compose a wine village surrounded by autochthonous wine sorts. The campsite price includes entry to the sauna and indoor and outdoor thermal park with a diverse and rich offer of water attractions. There are 4200 square meters of water surfaces and diverse services to experience (massages, various therapies and activity program). In the direct vicinity are tennis courts, volleyball court and golf course. It is located in the heart of Triglav National Park, in the Soča village (Trenta) beside the small riverbeds of the Soča River. The first ecological campsite in Slovenia is built from only natural materials. It is separately collecting waste, the majority of its energy resources are provided by the sun (solar lights, solar showers) and the campsite uses biodegradable cleaning products. The guests will be also surprised by features, such as wooden footbridges, natural steps, clematis fences, natural playground equipment, live house, etc. The Soča beds : open wooden houses with built-in tents, equipped with mattresses, sheets and pillows are another special feature.
