Participants will slide from treetop to treetop with a harness and wearing security equipment. Perhaps a howler monkey will join you on this exciting experience. This is a unique way of watching nature from a totally different point of view. This is the perfect activity option for a half day excursion. ATV TOUR This tour is considered one of the most exciting trips across the dry forest of the Guanacaste region. Incredible views from the top of the mountains, the adventure of passing through rivers and the ride over the beach makes this tour simply unforgettable. Begin with a short ride heading to the hills, once on top, the ride continues downhill, while exploring the dry forest and the rivers. The Tenorio River rises near the Tenorio Volcano where it becomes a fast moving river, with 15 miles of rapids popular for whitewater rafting, and then flows to join the Corobici River, the best river in the area for wildlife observation. The trip starts with gentle white water breaks and works its way through Class III and IV rapids and thrilling drops. Safety kayakers accompany rafters for the entire trek. It is a three-hour river ride through wildlife, birds, monkeys and dense vegetation. SPORT DEEP SEA FISHING Fancy yourself a fisherman? Fishing areas in the Costa Rican Pacific coast are divided roughly into the Northern, Central or Southern regions. Guanacaste is part of the Northern Pacific area; encompassing spots like the Gulf of Papagayo, Gulf of Nicoya, Flamingo, and Guanamar in Playa Carrillo. This area is affected by strong winds, called Papagayo Winds. This allows for the main billfish population to move from the Central area into the Northern.
