Visit of the Gandan monastery and the Museum of Natural History. Ulan Bator was built on the banks of the Tuul River, formerly called Urga, in honor of the son of a Mongol nobleman. The name to the city of Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia, was given during the revolution of The name means "red hero". The streets of the capital are constant urest au until very late at night. The city is divided into several districts with large differences between them, you can even see yurts in the very city center. The growth of Ulaanbaatar is amazing and you will find in the capital all the amenities of modern life... Day 2: Departure to Terelj. Preparation of the material, last purchases. Then joining the site where Tsodoo has established his summer camp at the foot of small rocky foothills, not far from the Tuul river, at the entrance of the National Park Khenty Khan.Installation in a yurt, discovery of the lifestyle of nomadic people. Meaning "Edelweiss" a plant that blooms in abundance in this region during the springtime, can be found in the Terelj National Park Gorkhi-Terelj, 80 km from the capital. The park, located along the Khan Khentii Park, created in 1994, covers a large part of the Khentii mountains. The Terelj region is a territory of mountains whit some peaks reaching 2700m above sea level. Largely forested, Terelj is also a sanctuary for wildlife. Terelj has many areas of steppe and beautiful rocky formations. The famous sightseeing spot of Terelj, the MekhiiKhad is a boulder that recalls the shape of a turtle, where also the name comes from. This natural monument is one of the most visited by the Mongols.

2 Day 3: Start of a trek on the banks of the Tuul river. Preparation and departure for hiking. The trip will go on for several days, the course of rivers and TuulKhagiin, the mountain of Khenty offering little passages through the mountains. The first day we will go up the Tuul River about 25 km, in a landscape of plains and hills, until we reach the rocky foothills of the Khenty Massif, this is where we will build the camp in this preserved nature. Equipment and bags will be transported on fighting horses; you will just have to carry a little bag with the most necessary things like a bottle of water, snacks, etc... Mongolian horses are both peaceful and wild. They are gentle and docile. However, it should follow the advice of the guide to maintain "good relations" with his mount. The horse, Mongolian pride, is the symbol of an entire civilization. The great Khan made famous the Mongol armies of horsemen all across the continent of Asia. Mongolian horse looks like a double pony, about 1.50 m high. It is both well respected and used as a working animal. The Mongols have name for horses but Mongolian vocabulary is incredibly rich in terms for the horse to its color, character, size, etc.... Day 4: Junction between Tuul river and Khagiin gol. Continuing our way to the "black lake Khagiin" in a more rocky area. The landscape is getting wilder, strangely reminding of Alaska, no more nomadic people are living in this secluded area, but it is not rare to encounter some horsemen traversing the massif alone or with a caravan of yaks or cattle with all of their material to settle on the other side or just for fun...an about 25 km long way to reach the junction of the Tuul river and Khagiin gol river, we will continue a few kilometers in a sort of parade crossing the Khagiin gol river, to reach the place of bivouac. There, just above the twists and turns of Khagiin Gol, a camp will be set up for the night in a particularly quiet place, well protected from the wind. In this wild area a five deer live... But these animals are so fierce, it is extremely rare to set eyes on them. Bears and wolves will certainly be there to observe our actions and movement... But do not worry, they always remain at a safe distance, it is not rare to see some beautiful plantigradeprints. Day 5: KhongorinGol. A more open landscape, a sort of an open landscape in which the Khongorin river floats. Following the twists and turns of the river, or by cutting in the middle of rhododendrons we will arrive in late afternoon in NuurKkhokh, in this area, that filled withbigger and smaller lakes, from which the largest is lake KhokhNuur. The air is cooler, you will already be at 1 780m. Camp is located near the lake.

3 Day 6: The Hot sources A journey a bit ox exhausting journey in the middle of bushes and small trees, up to a little bit above 2000m. Small streams, forests, virgin nature in all its element. To see in the middle of a vast glade 2 house made from logs next to the hot water sources. These cabins were built long ago and nomads, who pass by, occasionally make some repair work to maintain the heritage of nature. Sources are more mysterious from the inside, offerings, prayer scarves, manuscripts, paintings... The camp is located not far from the sources. Day 7: Arrival at Khagiin Khar Nuur. The last departure to the famous Black Lake, a place that is worshiped by Mongols, without any exact reason. A beautiful lake, deep in the mountains. Visited by some fishermen, there are still very few visitors. The tranquility of these remote locations is a joy to be shared with Tsodoo. Camp is located near the lake.

4 Day 8: Pass of Khuluukhin. We will go the very south of the lake to take a small mountain path that will lead us to the Khuluukhin pass, then we will switch to the other side in the valley of the Tuul river. A beautiful route during which you will be able to enjoy beautiful panoramic view and fully appreciate the beauty of these mountains. A long journey of thirty kilometers down by the Tuul River and build a camp in an area where the valleys are more narrowand more rockier... We'll be in a place well known for the bears because they stay there during the winter time in the many caves and hollows of the near mountains. Day 9: Road Dichingiin pass. In the morning, we will decamp to continue our way to south, in the mountains, where the scenery is gorgeous. A height difference of 400 m, for us to get up to the Dichingiin pass at 2 000m above sea level. Breathtaking panoramic view of the whole massif. Magical moments where will you feel so small in the middle of the great space. Then we will go down to the Tuul river along the course of the Daichiin river ad we will reach the camp site of the first night. Day 10: Arrival at Tsodoo. Retout at the starting point... Last day of the hiking adventure in the heart of the Khenty massif, last day in this totally wild environment whose beauty will captivate you. In the afternoon arrival at the camp Tsodoo and the last evening with our hosts.

5 Day 11: Back to Ulan Bator Back to the civilization... take a well deserved shower. Arriving at Ulaanbaatar in late morning. Visit of the the large market, souvenir shopping. An appointment with your guide in the late afternoon to see the folk show. Then a goodbye dinner with the whole team. Day 12: Transfer to the airport International flight.
