2 OVERVIEW Ultima Thule lodge is a wonderfully unique property located in Wrangell St. Elias National Park, Alaska. Tucked inside the vast landscape of the biggest protected wilderness on earth, 100 miles beyond the road, in the heart of a UNSECO World Heritage Monument and the largest National Park in North America; Ultima Thule represents the premier wilderness destination while incorporating a level of luxury unparalleled in such remote corners of the earth. Every detail is well thought out, from handcrafted furniture, sheepskin rugs and the extensive collection of Alaskan art and artifacts. DAY 1 Anchorage - 1 night at Sheraton Anchorage Hotel and Spa You will arrive into Anchorage, Alaska where we suggest you overnight in Sheraton Anchorage Hotel & Spa which is moments from downtown Anchorage's best restaurants, museums and attractions. DAY 2 Wrangell St. Elias National Park - 5 nights at Ultima Thule Lodge You will take the short 45 minute flight from Anchorage to Valdez. There are no roads in to Ultima Thule, you must fly in; hence you will be picked up by one of Thule s planes and transferred deep into the heart of the Wrangell St. Elias National Park. Thule owns 5 planes; these light bush airplanes are specifically designed to access off the beaten path places while ensuring minimal impact to the natural world and a heightened level of personal experience. You will find yourself in a world removed from civilisation while stopping for a picnic lunch in the middle of the largest (non-polar) glacier on earth; on top of a high alpine plateau to walk among arctic flowers and sample wild berries; next to a salmon stream fishing alongside grizzly bears, or

3 soaring among 14-18,000 foot peaks along the way to the Pacific coastline to watch 1000 year old glacier ice crash into the surf. DAY 3 When you wake and make your way to the grand room at the main lodge, the owners, the Claus family, are already studying the skies. The Clauses and their experienced Alaskan wilderness guides can help you discover the perfect activity each day to match your mood, experience level and your interests. In these Piper Super Cubs we can land you anywhere, says Paul, one of the most celebrated bush pilots in Alaska. We can fly you up into a mountain valley, put you down on a sandbar at the edge of the forest, and guide you on a hike that literally no one has ever done before. DAY 4 Today, you could fly to explore an abandoned gold mine or kayak and fish for salmon in a glacial fed river. You could also hike in pursuit of Dall sheep across a mountain ridge or enjoy a Wine & Cheese Luncheon on the Icefield (in the middle of the world's largest non-polar glacier!) DAY 5 Today you could find yourself landing in the middle of the largest non-polar glacier in the world, the Bagley Ice field, for an undisturbed view of the earth's most massive pile of rock and ice, Mt. Logan. You could also sledge on Glaciers (Anytime of the year!) or Hike and Trek on Alpine Tundra, Glacier Ice or through Boreal Rainforests. DAY 6 Today, maybe Paul will take you flying over the pinnacle of Mount St. Elias, the largest vertical rock face on Earth. You ll dust Elias snowy peak, then dive down over the glacier fields, breeze over the grassy plains, and glide out to the Pacific Ocean. Land on the beach and eat the gourmet picnic lunch Donna Claus has sent along in the back of the plane. Sit on an iceberg in the sun and watch huge chunks of glacier ice crash into the waves. You do not have to choose from itineraries ahead of time as there is no set schedule of events. This is adventuring as it's meant to be, in its purest form, adhering to the laws of nature while respectfully marvelling at her grandeur.

4 DAY 7 Anchorage - 1 night at Dimond Centre Hotel Today you will be flown back to Valdez, before taking the 45 minute commercial flight back to Anchorage. We suggest an overnight stay in the Dimond Centre Hotel located in downtown Anchorage. DAY 8 You will fly home today.
