On the bank of the Arno River, a stroll away from all of Florence s treasures, is a glowing historic palace hotel, designed by Brunelleschi. 13 DUCO S EVENING VENUE 1 Salone dei Cinquecento Palazzo Vecchio The extraordinary Salone dei Cinquecento is the most important chamber of Palazzo Vecchio, the Town Hall of Florence for more than 7 centuries. A location with a great tradition and international historical importance. DUCO s Gala Dinner Opening Ceremony takes place in this magnificent salon. DUCO S EVENING VENUE 2 Mercato Centrale Created by Umberto Montano and Claudio Cardini, the Mercato Centrale breathes new life into the San Lorenzo neighborhood. Respecting the traditions of the historic Florentine marketplace on the ground floor, the upper floor has been transformed into a contemporary food court hosting the top artisanal and street food vendors from around Tuscany. This dazzling iron and glass building, built in 1874, will host DUCO s event for the evening. DUCO S EVENING VENUE 3 Opera di Firenze Florence s Opera House theatre, officially opened in 2011, is a work of art itself. A modern and multifunctional building in the cradle of the Renaissance! It is the official home of the orchestra and famous opera festival Maggio Musicale Fiorentino. A park of Music and Culture, major host of international performances and events, from concerts and ballets to movie festivals. The perfect location for DUCO Closing Ceremony.

24 Who we are Carolina Perez Founder Carolina was born with a pair of wings attached to her feet taken after her mother Teresa who has also been her partner at Teresa Perez Tours for 16 years, in São Paulo, Brazil. In 2009, Carolina founded Travelweek Sao Paulo, company sold to prestigious ILTM Reed Exhibitions in After a 18-month sabbatical period, she felt ready to pursue an old dream: to venture in Italy, the land of her ancestors and where half of her heart resides. Carolina s passion for Italy is DUCO s soul. She packed her dreams in a bag and flew to Florence to knock on the door of some dear Italian friends from the trade and present DUCO. She overjoys every time she hears from one of them: Ma come! Una Brasiliana!? :) Carolina lives in Rio de Janeiro with her husband, her daughter and stepdaughter, where she enjoys family life, cycling and the ocean. Paula Colesi Managing Director Exhibitors & Buyers Relations Paula started in the travel industry in 2005, at Teresa Perez Tours. In 2010 she joined Carolina in the bold project of Travelweek Sao Paulo, to manage Buyers Relations. A few years ago, she went back to university to study psychology, but by then, her heart had already been conquered: the passion for the travel industry and its people spoke louder to her gypsy soul and when Carolina called her with DUCO s invitation, she heard herself saying: YES, count me in! Less than 2 months later she was on an Alitalia plane, ready to embrace DUCO & Italy wholeheartedly. Mother of 3 teenagers, Paula lives in Sao Paulo (at least for now...). Besides the constant trips to Italy, she has an American fiancee in Los Angeles, which means: always packed to go!
