2 Fogra UV Printing User Forum On the subject Photo: Hilton Munich City Have you ever found yourself seduced in the supermarket by the array of products on offer even though you have a shopping list? When it comes to making new investments, the same is certainly true for many entrepreneurs in our industry. As the response to product presentations by various dryer and press manufacturers over the last year shows, many new entrants are interested in radiation curing and drupa will bring a fresh influx of potential buyers and new processes such as electron beam curing in inkjet printing. As a service provider, it would be a serious mistake not to investigate the advantages offered by radiation cured printed products. The primary focus of this year s Fogra User Forum will therefore be to bring clarity to range of commercially available curing processes and their possibilities and limitations. It will do so both through the lectures and discussions and through the opportunity to talk to the suppliers exhibiting at the show linked to the conference. The two central questions being addressed at this year s User Forum are: What are the advantages of the various radiation curing techniques? Are there limitations in packaging printing because of the migration of ink components? Alongside the official programme, a bavarian evening in the historic Hirschau (within the Englischer Garten Munich) will give you a great opportunity to catch up with old acquaintances and create new contacts.
