On his regular outings with fishermen, he gradually got to know the various coves and bays in the Gulf of Gokova.

Together they constructed a theory of culture which embraced the cultures of all the people who lived in Asia Minor.

4 6 BLUE CRUISE HOW IT STARTED? The story of Blue Cruise began in Gokova A Blue Cruise, also known as a Blue Voyage ( "Mavi Yolculuk" in Turkish ), has been introduced by a few Turkish writers such as Cevat Sakir Kabaagacli, Azra Erhat and Bedri Rahmi Eyuboglu. Cevat Sakir, who had been exiled to Bodrum in 1925, began taking trips with his friends on the sponge divers' sailing boats, called gulets. These excursions became known as "Blue Cruises". The judges, who exiled Cevat Sakir for a number of years to Bodrum, knew nothing of its lifestyle which, as Cevat Sakir found out, was something like paradise. He settled down and adopted the name Fisherman of Halicarnassus, writing stories about the town and its locals- in particular, the fishermen. On his regular outings with fishermen, he gradually got to know the various coves and bays in the Gulf of Gokova. When visiting intellectuals from Istanbul dropped in, he took the opportunity to introduce them to the fishermen s way of life. Together they constructed a theory of culture which embraced the cultures of all the people who lived in Asia Minor. Sakir s tours through the Gulf of Gokova became famous and were given the name, Mavi Yolculuk or Blue Cruise, at this point. What they used to take with them during these Blue Cruises were; feta cheese, water, rusk of Kos, tobacco and raki. They would never take newspapers with them nor listened to the radio. The purpose was to get away from the world and be away from the civilization in tranquility. They used to stay at the sea for weeks and went on land only to provide their basic needs. The last stop will be the place where you will stay for the night. Usually the motor will be used to power the gulet. For our customers use there is fishing and snorkeling equipment. Some of our gulets also have windsurf, canoe, water sports equipment and jet ski. Once the gulet is moored you will have free time to visit any archaeological ruins, take a little walk in to the pine forests and generally explore the beautiful coastline. Reading your book and having a siesta under the shade with a breeze may be another option. Of course, sea-lovers can enjoy swimming, snorkeling and sunbathing. We can also organize private land excursions upon your request to the nearby local towns, ancient cities and natural attractions. Food & Drinks on Board The meals during the cruise are prepared freshly on board and are of a high standard. We may also recommend you some local fish restaurants on your route. Menus will be decided before the trip according to your requests and preferences. If you have any special requests (religious preferences - health oriented) these can be organized if notice is given beforehand. Our chefs will delight you with the surprises they present during your meals. OUR YACHTS In our fleet, our gulets vary from 15 to 56 meters, 2 to 18 cabins, 2 to 8 crew members and range from standard to ultra-luxury category. Our gulets are built traditionally by local carpenters; they are handmade wooden Motor Sailors. According to your recent feedbacks, we also added Motor Yachts in our fleet. Our yachts offer a high standard of safety and comply with local government and international regulations.

As a place where people have lived continuously for thousands of years Bodrum has an incredibly deep history. Situated on a beautiful peninsula, Bodrum is these days better known as a popular holiday resort. The beautiful old town with small streets and hundreds of shops invites you to walk around at any time of the day and night, as Bodrum s famous nightlife will offer you entertainments of all kind. Sadun Boro, the first Turkish amateur sailor to circumnavigate the globe by sailing, on the mermaid statue erected by him in Okluk Bay/Gulf of Gokova has written: This mermaid has traveled many seas and horizons to find the heaven that she dreamed of. She traveled continents, islands and bays, until she reached Gokova.

16 30 PROGRAM 1 BODRUM GULF of GOKOVA 1 BODRUM Boarding starts by 15:30 from Bodrum Harbor. You will have free time to visit the town s highlights. Your boat will remain anchored in Bodrum for dinner and overnight stay. 2 ORAK ISLAND - SEVEN ISLANDS After your breakfast you will be informed about the cruise itinerary and boat. Then we will cruise to Orak Island where you will have the opportunity of swimming in the crystal-blue waters and enjoying lunch. We will cruise to Seven Islands, a region which is full of small islands and coral reef. You can also enjoy a walk in the forest filled with green pine trees. If the weather conditions permit, it may be possible to use the sail on the way. Our final stop in Seven Islands Region will be Kufre Bay where we will stay for the dinner and the overnight. 3 TUZLA LONGOZ BALLI SU Morning swimming will soon become a part of your daily activities. Our captain will cruise to Tuzla Bay where you can enjoy the turquoise-blue waters. For lunch, we will set sail to Longoz Bay; another place like paradise, sheltered with huge pine trees. For dinner and overnight stay you will anchor in Ballı Su. 4 CLEOPATRA ISLAND OKLUK BAY Your Blue Cruise goes on to Cleopatra (Sedir) Island to have a swimming stop. Those who wish will have the occasion here to visit the open-air museum holding an incredible white sand beach, byzantine ruins and an amphitheater. Afterwards we will cruise to Okluk Bay for dinner and an overnight stay. 5 ENGLISH HARBOR - AYINDA After breakfast, those who want may join an optional daily excursion to the famous Turtle Beach and the green delta of Dalyan through the ancient rock tombs from English Harbor. The name comes from the time of World War II as the ships of British Navy forces used to dock here. Following a swimming break we will anchor for dinner and the overnight in the beautiful bay of Ayinda. Guests are welcome to take a short walk on the shore. After lunch, we will be anchoring at Kisebuku (Alakisla Buku). Here you can see the ancient ruins on the shore. We will spend the night in this lovely bay. PABUCBURNU - BODRUM We will sail to Pabucburnu after breakfast and enjoy lunch here. An optional village tour can be arranged from this point for those who are wishing to experience the local life. Then our boat will cruise back to Bodrum Port for the last day s dinner and an overnight stay. BODRUM Disembarkation by 10:30 after breakfast.

34 PROGRAM 2 MARMARIS FETHIYE 1 MARMARIS Boarding starts by 15.30 at Marmaris Marina.

The castle of Marmaris lies on the old town hill and offers a beautiful view across the harbor. Dinner and overnight stay will be in Marmaris.

You may join an optional Dalyan excursion.

You will have a swimming stop at a unique place called Caretta-Caretta beach. There will also be a mud bath occasion.

18 34 PROGRAM 2 MARMARIS FETHIYE 1 MARMARIS Boarding starts by at Marmaris Marina. You will have time for visiting the old town and bazaar of Marmaris with its small streets and hundreds of shops, bars and restaurants. The castle of Marmaris lies on the old town hill and offers a beautiful view across the harbor. Dinner and overnight stay will be in Marmaris. 2 3 EKINCIK GULF - DALYAN After breakfast you will be informed about the cruise itinerary and boat. The cruise will move towards Ekincik Gulf and overnight stay will be in this beautiful area. You may join an optional Dalyan excursion. The participants will be taken from the yacht with a smaller boat called Piyade which will bring you into the green delta of Dalyan through the Lycian Rock Tombs. You will have a swimming stop at a unique place called Caretta-Caretta beach. There will also be a mud bath occasion. SUNKEN BATH - TERSANE ISLAND - KIZIL ISLAND Because of the wavy seas of Disibilmez and Kurtoglu capes that we have to cross, we will cruise earlier than the other days and reach the world-famous Gocek Gulf. We will anchor at Sunken Bath for breakfast and swimming break. This place is also known as Cleopatra Bay due to the beautiful underwater ruins of an old bath. Then we will cruise to Tersane Island. This naturally protected harbor was used as a shipyard in Byzantine and Ottoman times. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Kizil Island. 4 FETHIYE Arrive at Fethiye Harbor early in the morning. We offer optional jeep safari tour. For those who will not join the Safari, the boat will anchor at Samanlik Bay for lunch and swimming. Afterwards around 16:00 the boat will anchor at Ece Saray Marina for dinner and overnight stay. 5 GOCEK ISLAND - YASSICA ISLANDS We will depart from Fethiye Harbor for Gocek Island. After moving through uniquely beautiful islands, we will finally anchor at Yassica Islands. Lunch will be taken in this beautiful chain of little islands. Dinner and overnight will be in a bay amongst the islands of Gocek. KUMLUBUK BAY - CENNET ISLAND - MARMARIS Cruise starts early in the morning and the breakfast will be served in the bay of Kumlubuk which lies within the sight of Marmaris but is cut off from it by a forbidding set of Limestone Mountains. You will have lunch in a nice bay of Cennet Island. Overnight stay will be at Marmaris Harbor. MARMARIS Disembarkation by 10:30 after breakfast.

Bencik is located at the narrowest part of the Datca Peninsula that divides Hisaronu Gulf from the Gokova Gulf. You should take a short walk up to the top of the hill in Bencik, you can have at the same time the fantastic views of these two gulfs. In 550 s B.C. the Knidos people wanted to dig a tunnel in Bencik, the narrowest land piece of the peninsula as defence line against the Persians. That way they tried to get Datca part as an island to make a stronger defence. However, in the end they could not manage and the city was conquered by the Persians. ORHANIYE - SELIMIYE - KOCA ISLAND We will cruise into the Gulf of Hisaronu and anchor in Orhaniye where you can see the natural tidal formation called Kiz Kumu (Maiden s Beach) and the wrecks of an antique castle located on a tiny island in the bay.
