3 WHO ARE WE? Air Corsica was created in January 1989 by the Corsican Regional Authority in order to improve airline services in Corsica and since the first flight in June 1990 over twenty six million passengers have been carried. With 48% of annual traffic (ref. Corsican Regional Chamber of Commerce), Air Corsica has become the Island s leading air carrier with passengers transported a year (April 1st March 31st 2017) As a concrete illustration of a successful policy of decentralisation, Air Corsica, an autonomous airline, actively participates in the economic, tourist and social development of Corsica notably by creating employment in a highly qualified sector of activity. Its 675 staff members contribute to provide a reliable and efficient service via a program of over flights scheduled per year. Operating a fleet of 11 aircraft (five A320 and six ATR 72), our network is composed of two sectors : Public service flight itineraries Between Corsica (Bastia, Ajaccio, Calvi and Figari) and Paris Orly, Marseille and Nice Non-Public service flight itineraries Annual, seasonal or punctual connections on domestic and international routes SO CLOSE TO YOU 3

8 OUR IDENTITY Air Corsica is strongly attached to its regional identity. Accordingly, it is upon these close bonds with the region and the wealth of Corsican heritage that the company has partly based its positioning and branding strategy. THE LANGUAGE The focal point of Corsica identity is undoubtedly its language. The Corsican language is today recognized as a means of communication on the Internet available on Google translation and the social network Facebook. As such, the airline s aim is clearly to carry the language of Corsica. Moreover, Corsican is present in the day to day life of the company; among the staff and with the passengers thanks to an ambitious language training program. OUR AIRCRAFT NAMES It is with the names of the most renowned tourist sites of Corsica, emblematic of the Island and highly popular with visitors, that the planes of our company have all been baptized. To enhance the Island s heritage and to put to the forefront its natural assets, our fleet of aircraft accordingly bears these prestigious names: For our A320s : Golfu Di Porti, A Scala di Santa Regina, E Calanche di Piana, I Sanguinari, et U Capu Corsu. For our ATRs : A Riservi Di Scandula, L Agriatu, U Lioni di Roccapina, Un Monte Cintu, A Paglia Orba. THE MOOR S HEAD The moor s Head, historical symbol of the Corsican flag, is present in all the communication media and documents of Air Corsica : company logo, empennage of all the planes, institutional notices, posters, advertisements, derived products The Moor s Head was originally an Aragonese symbol adopted by Corsica in the XIIth century. It is indeed one of the oldest emblems in Europe! POLICY OF PARTENERSHIPS It is from the initial mission, as defined by the Corsican Regional Authority and main shareholder of the company, that the justification of Air Corsica s policy of partnership and sponsoring is derived: putting this regional tool forward to serve the economic, social and cultural development of the Island of Corsica in terms of reciprocal interests.this policy of partnership concerns the airline s vocation to assist in the promotion of the destination s attractiveness via the logistical support that it can provide to local associations subject to problems of transport. REFRESHMENTS-SNACKS Our airline offers refreshments on all of its flights, composed of Corsican mineral water and biscuits produced on the Island of Beauty. St George s mineral water is drawn from the spring and bottled on site at the St George mountain pass, near to Ajaccio. Orezza sparkling water is produced in the village of the same name where its ferruginous spring water has been quenching the thirst of the local inhabitants over the past centuries. The dry biscuits called canistrelli are made by the traditional producers of the region. The mineral water Zilia is drawn and bottled in Zilia. 8
