1 Rotary Youth Exchage T U R K E Y District INVITATION TO TURKEY EAST MEDITERRANEAN SUMMER CAMP, TURKEY 2018 NAME: WHERE: WHEN: ARRIVAL: East Mediterranean Summer Camp(EMSC) South-East region of Turkey.On the easternmost point of Mediterranean Sea. July 6 th-july 18 th,2018 Gaziantep Airport July 6th,via Ankara or İstanbul DEPARTURE: Adana Şakirpaşa Airport July 18th,via Ankara or İstanbul (Turkish Airlines,Anadolu Jet,Pegasus,Atlas Global have flights between Ankara-İstanbul and Gaziantep-Adana.) PARTICIPANTS: 12 participants from EEMA countries and 12 participants from Turkısh Rotary/Interact Clubs Max.2 participants from the same country will be accepted. AGE: years. An equal number of girls and boys will be accepted. INFORMATION: Our Camp will be organised by 3 Rotary Clubs in 3 different cities.all participants admitted will be welcomed and sent off from the airports. Each participant will be hosted by a Turkish Rotarian Family.At the same time and places, we are holding Our Children Camp for Turkish participants from different cities.

2 PROGRAMME: Our camp consists of 3 parts.each organised by a different Rotary Club. First part is in Gaziantep organised by Gaziantep-Kavaklık Rotary Club. The programme includes culture,history and city life. Second part is in Arsuz on İskenderun Bay, organised by Antakya-Defne Rotary Club.Focused on sea and pool activities,fun and typical coast life on the Mediterrean Sea. Third part is in Tarsus organised by Tarsus Rotary Club.It comprises of nature and a boat trip.(you can find details on next pages) THEME: How to cook Turkish Food? Gaziantep,Antakya and Tarsus are gourmet cities of Turkey.We will show our guests how to prepare Turkish food for 3-4 hours in each part. Totally 9-12 hours of culinary art. NEEDINGS: Your personal medication and suitable cloths for swimming.the daytime temperature is 35-40*C.You will need hat, sunglasses,sandals,sunscreen creams. COSTS: The camp participation fee is 150 Euro. Transportation,museums/aquapark entrance fees,restaurants and boat trip are included.therefore you will pay your air plane tickets,health insurance and other expenses INSURANCE: Participants must be insured against illness,accident and thid party damages according to Rotary İnternational requirements. 4 ANTAKYA - DEFNE ROTARY CLUB EAST MEDITERRANEAN SUMMER CAMP PROGRAMME 2018 The camp will be held in ARSUZ-HATAY, very east of Mediterranean Sea,on the south wing of Iskenderun Bay.It is a small summer town.in winter it has about 3000 inhabitants, but in summer time more than Our camp is organised by club members and their families who have summer houses in Arsuz.Our young guests will have a chance to share typical summer life on Mediterrenean coast.
