Each week guests can enjoy a traditional show which includes firewalking, a meke (song and dance performance) and the essential lovo where food is cooked in an underground earth oven. While for those guests seeking a little more luxury there are 12 Executive Suites and four secluded Beach Bures right on the ocean front. D I N I N G The Resort prides itself on providing a wonderful selection of dining options, no matter the mood or the occasion. Our four restaurants offer a la carte to barbeque; asian seafood to an international themed buffet every evening. Six bars serve sumptuous cocktails and a wide selection of international beverages from their stunning locations around the lagoon and ocean front. A maximum of two children are permitted in Ocean View, Lagoon View, Lagoon Family Room and Suites. A maximum of three children in Ocean Family Rooms and Bures. K I D S E A T A N D S T A Y F R E E Up to two children per room, aged twelve years and under, eat for free with the following conditions: Free full buffet breakfast at Lagoon Terrace when accompanied by parents dining at the same buffet. Free children s buffet lunch served from 12noon to 1pm, usually at the Golden Cowrie or Lagoon Terrace Restaurants. Free children s buffet dinner served from 5.30pm to 6.30pm. Location varies according to occupancy levels. This special children s buffet consists of a selection to include dishes such as soup, chicken pieces, mini hamburgers, pizza, lasagna, vegetables and sandwiches. Buffet desserts are also included. Children s activity co-ordinators are on hand to entertain the children. Parents are welcome to join their children in a supervisory role. Children may dine with parents for free at buffets served at the Lagoon Terrace. Children may order from the a la carte menu on the basis of half portion/half price. Additional children pay F$22 per day direct to Shangri-La s Fijian Resort. Note information is provided as a guideline only and is subject to change. L I T T L E C H I E F S C L U B This is a complimentary club for children aged between two and twelve years old. Open every day from 9am to 12noon and 1pm to 5pm. To join the club, children simply need to register at the Little Chief s Bure, which is a special children s play area next to the children s park. Resort staff supervise these fun children s activities so parents can have a break. The activity programs are designed for two to six year olds and for seven to 12 year olds. They include drawing, face painting, fish feeding, Mad Hatter s parties, swimming races, storytelling and much more. During peak periods a program also operates for 13 to 18 year olds. B A B Y S I T T I N G Fijian babysitters are available at F$15.00 for a minimum of three hours and thereafter at F$5.00 per hour. A maximum of three children are permitted per babysitter. The Davui Hall seats up to 300 people theatre-style or up to 200 people banquet-style. A separate Secretariat Office and a smaller break-out meeting room next to the Davui Hall add to the Centre s versatility. Additional break out space is available at the nearby Kalevu Restaurant. The Kalevu Restaurant also houses a boardroom for up to 14 persons. The resort is undergoing a phased upgrade, including the building of a new 500 seat ballroom.
