5 Kona, Hawaii The beautiful island of Kona is home to Kealakekua Bay, famous for both its marine life and as the location where Captain James Cook lost his life. The bay is one of the best snorkelling spots in all of Hawaii. The area is a state park and conservation site and holds an abundance of undersea life. It's a great place for both experienced snorkellers and novices to explore the marine world.
