If you are looking for a high-qualilty, heavy-duty keyless combination lock with a built-in knob that will completely replace your door knob, then take a look at this one. The 1600 has a built-in, easy-to-operate knob on both the inside and outside. It also has a spring latchbolt so that when the door is closed, a spring pushes the latchbolt out into the locked position, locking the door. It is also ADA compliant. This lock also has a Passage Function so it can remain in the unlocked position, if you prefer. This makes it ideal for an office environment where the door should remain unlocked during business hours, but locked after hours. Comes with a Passage Function so it can remain in the unlock position, but still latch. These locks come with the Magnetic Latchbolt option. We offer a special Teflon finish, Marine Grade, which protects your lock from harsh salt water environments. These locks can be used on doors from 1-3/16" to 2" thick. If your door is between 2" to 5" please order the 1000 Series PT12 Lockey Extension Kit. Comes with a 2 3/4" or 2 3/8" backset. If you are planning to use this lock with our PT01 Lockey Gate Box, be sure to order the 2-3/8" latchbolt. Covers a 2-1/8" hole. 1. Comes with a Manufacturer's Lifetime Warranty. 2. Hacksaw-proof, bump-proof and cannot be picked. 3. Never again worry about lost, stolen or copied keys. These locks have adjustable handedness which means they can be changed from right to left hand doors. For the 1600 Lock, this particular lock does not have a thumb turn on the inside -- instead it has a knob handle to open the door. To unlock from the outside, simply type in your secret code on the keypad and turn the knob to the right to retract the latchbolt and open the door. On the inside, just turn the knob. For the 1600DC, this particular lock has a knob handle, on both the inside and outside bodies, to open the door. To unlock from the inside and outside, simply type in your secret code on the keypad and turn the knob to the right to retract the latchbolt and open the door. Setting your Secret Code Please note this lock is shipped with 5 red (code) and 10 blue (non-code) tumblers. This allows for a 5 digit code. If you would like to have a code other than 5 digits, please add PT05 Tumblers to your cart. Want us to set your initial secret code? Simply select the "Custom" option under the Initial Secret Code section below and enter your desired custom code (no repeating digits) in the text box. Your code can be anywhere between 3 and 5 digits. Locking and Unlocking Using all our keyless digital locks is quick and easy. To unlock from the inside and outside, simply type in your secret code on the keypad and turn the lever to the right to retract the latchbolt and open the door. It couldn't be easier! Because of the latchbolt, both will automatically lock when the door is closed unless passage function is enabled. Right or Left Handed Option This lock works on either right or left handed doors. To determine which one is correct for you, just stand outside of your door and look at your door hinges: If your hinges are on the LEFT side, then you should specify the LEFT hand option when you place your order.
