You can meet Phil & Karen and learn more about New Horizons during a visit to the Pennsylvania RV & Camping Association (PRVCA) Show in Hershey, PA. The show runs from September 12-16, 2012 and is held at the Hershey Entertainment & Resorts Company Giant Center, 550 West Hersheypark Drive. The Full-Timer s Dream A Custom-Built, Luxury Home on Wheels (Walk Through Debbie & Roger Rauch s 2012 Majestic) By Marty Wellington Long-time New Horizons Ambassadors Roger & Debbie Rauch have just taken delivery of their beautiful new fifth wheel home. The Rauchs have been full-timing for three years--all in a New Horizons Majestic. The Rauchs have created this latest Majestic with many personal touches that truly make this their home. And, just recently Debbie graciously agreed to give me a tour of her home so I could experience its ambience first-hand. We hope you enjoy this intimate look at one of New Horizons latest builds.

Hearthside Comfort was the interior fabric color choice and the predominantly green color looks fabulous with the rustic cherry solid wood cabinetry and moldings. The Rauch s floor plan (F42RE4SS) features four slides and a rear entertainment center and a plush sofa in the kitchen slide-out. The handscraped hickory wood flooring was a must for Debbie who loves the residential feel of the wood floor and also its ease of care. Note in the photo that the Rauchs also selected a 21 cu. ft. Kitchen Aid residential refrigerator. For that ultimate entertainment experience, they chose to upgrade their living room TV to a 47 LCD HDTV which is mounted on a lift. Wingard Trav ler Model SK-1000 Dish Network Provider, HD receiver, and Blu-Ray surround sound system complete this great package. Centered under the television is an inset electric fireplace by Optiflame. So, What About Trade-Ins? by Marty Wellington Often, as I speak with prospective customers, I notice that many are under the assumption that since we sell factory direct only, we do not take trade-ins on their older units. This is simply not the case. We present many options to potential customers who are interested in selling their older units. A trade-in is the first type of transaction often thought of, however, it is usually the least profitable for the customer. We normally offer 80% of the wholesale book value. Therefore, we like to offer other suggestions as well. We have many powerful tools at our disposal to market and sell used units via the Internet through a consignment sale process. We list consignment units on our website and on which both receive significant exposure. Also, indirectly our on-site inventory receives exposure through our regular advertising and marketing program. Beyond that, when a unit is located on-site at our plant in Junction City, KS, it receives much walk-up exposure through local customers. Our location next to Interstate-70 is also advantageous for added visibility. What about motorhomes? Given the present economy and sometimes the higher price of a motorhome, this can present more challenges for resale. However, our product specialists have developed relationships with many dealerships and we strive to work with every customer to assure they receive the best price for their unit. So, rest assured, just like an RV dealer, we are prepared to offer prospective customers many options. However, our personal, family-owned approach to sales and communications is far superior to anything offered by most RV dealers.

5 RECIPES OF THE MONTH Healthy Grilling Choices (from FoodNetwork.com) Grilled Peaches with Wine Syrup (courtesy of Bobby Flay) 2 ½ cups red Spanish table wine ½ cup peach nectar ¼ cup brandy ¼ cup plus 2 Tbls sugar 2 Tbls honey, plus more for garnish 2 cinnamon sticks 1 vanilla bean, split For the wind syrup: Combine the wine, peach nectar, brandy, sugar, 2 Tbls honey, cinnamon sticks and vanilla bean in a large high-sided sauté pan and bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce to a simmer and cook, stirring occasionally, until thickened to a syrup, about 10 minutes. Strain. Peaches: ½ stick unsalted butter 6 ripe peaches, halved and pitted Sugar Ground cinnamon For the peaches: Preheat a gas grill to medium-high. Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Brush the cut sides of the peaches with butter and sprinkle with remaining 2 Tbls sugar and some cinnamon. Sprinkle the remaining cut sides of the peaches with sugar. Grill cut-side down and cook until slightly caramelized, 2 to 3 minutes. Place the peaches cut-side up on a platter. Spoon some crème fraiche in the center of each, drizzle over some wine syrup, a bit of honey and garnish with mint leaves. Serve warm or at room temperature. Grilled Vegetables (courtesy of Giada De Laurentis) 3 red bell peppers, seeded and halved 3 yellow squash (about 1 pound total), sliced lengthwise into ½ thick rectangles 3 zucchini (about 12 oz. total), sliced lengthwise into ½ thick rectangles 3 Japanese eggplant (12 oz. total), sliced lengthwise into ½ thick rectangles 12 cremini mushrooms 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed 12 green onions, roots cut off ¼ cup plus 2 Tbls olive oil Salt and freshly ground black pepper 3 Tbls balsamic vinegar 2 garlic cloves, minced 1 tsp chopped fresh Italian parsley leaves 1 tsp chopped fresh basil leaves ½ tsp finely chopped fresh rosemary leaves Place a grill pan over medium-high heat or prepare the barbecue grill (medium-high heat). Brush the vegetables with ¼ cup of the oil to coat lightly. Sprinkle the vegetables with salt and pepper. Working in

batches, grill the vegetables until tender and lightly charred all over, about 8 to 10 minutes for the bell peppers; 7 minutes for the yellow squash, zucchini, eggplant, and mushrooms; 4 minutes for

Arrange the vegetables on a platter. The key to getting those great grill marks is to not shift the vegetables too frequently once they have been placed on the hot grill. Meanwhile, whisk the remaining 2 Tbls of oil, balsamic vinegar, garlic, parsley, basil, and rosemary in a small bowl to blend. Add salt and pepper to taste. Drizzle the herb mixture over the vegetables. Serve the vegetables, warm or at room temperature.
