The fully sealed chimney system offers not only water tight protection for the insulation within, but also protection during handling from cuts and abrasions that can be caused by normally sharp lue edges. The Matt lack powder coat is suitable for installations right down to the stove and has a rated heat resistance up to 500 ; other colours available are rated up to 200 and are therefore not suitable for use near the stove. 4 INTERN INSTTION Rain cowl (see page 16) Stovax offers 4 standard powder coating colours. For internal twin wall components, Textured Matt lack; and for external components, Satin lack, Gloss lack and Satin White. However, all external parts can be powder coated to any colour in the R range. Simply locate the female socket over the male and twist until tight and secure. To further secure the joint, the included locking band should be placed over the join and fastened using the circlip. 11 SUPPORT ESSORIES ocking bands, adjustable locking bands & structural locking bands ocking and (including circlip) The locking band has a simple spring connection system, and comes with a circlip to join the mating parts for increased system integrity. It is supplied with every component that has a male socket. Structural locking bands can be used to replace standard locking bands throughout the system. They are required for added support for lengths of flue up to 3 metres long, dependent on flue diameter and specific installation design. They may also be used with elbows and can provide extra support when used around the eaves of the house. Please note that this is not a substitute for reading the full Stovax Professional XQ himney Systems Installation Instructions which can be downloaded from 1. The minimum distance for the Stovax Professional XQ himney System to combustible materials is 50mm. Please ensure that this distance is maintained at all times. 2. In attic or loft spaces, use our mesh enclosure (FXQ-080) to prevent any contact with combustible materials and ensure that no additional insulation materials are placed around the lue. 3. When designing your system you should consider the following: The internal diameter of the lue system should not be less than the size speciied by the appliance manufacturer. The minimum recommended height for any solid fuel lue system should be 4.5m from the top of the appliance. The roof terminal position must conform to building regulations. No joint should occur within any loor, ceiling or wall space. Where the system passes through a loor or ceiling space, shielding must be itted to maintain clearances to combustible materials.
