3 Your refreshing place THROUGHOUT THE SEASON AT LE PAS OPTON YOU LL FIND QUALITY BIBLE TEACHING WITH POPULAR SPEAKERS FROM SPRING HARVEST AND OTHER CHRISTIAN ORGANISATIONS. The topics are thought provoking and provide spiritual food for the day. From June to the end of August, with morning kids clubs running concurrently with the Bible studies, you can relax with the peace of mind that our team of children s workers are looking after your little ones. Evening celebrations are a great place to join with family and new friends for a short time of worship, prayer and a short talk. There are opportunities to celebrate, praise, pray with others and respond to God. On Sunday morning the week culminates in a family celebration, with children and teens presenting drama, songs or video from their groups. The whole celebration is family focused, with allage worship, prayer and communion. The spiritual programme is totally optional, so you can dip in and out. The most important thing is that you have a relaxing holiday whatever that may look like! During quieter times of the season the programme of activities is more restricted but there is always Bible study and worship plus some activity in the afternoon and evening. Kids programme Our trained team engage with the children through highenergy games, lively worship and crafts. Parents can rest assured that their little ones will have a fabulous time making new friends, getting messy and learning more about Jesus. Meanwhile you can spend time relaxing or taking in the Bible study. Your youngsters will love the freedom to be themselves! 8 LUXURY TENTS 46 3 Our luxury tents come equipped with everything you need to really enjoy outdoor living. It s the true glamping experience. The spacious three bedroom tents can accommodate up to six people: four adults and two children on slide out beds. All tents are equipped with: Full size electric fridge Four burner gas hob and grill Beds with foam mattresses and pillows An inventory of crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils Electric light and a UK power socket STANDARD TENTS 4 2 Our standard tents offer the same inventory as our luxury tents, but on a smaller emplacement and with only two bedrooms, providing better value for smaller families. They sleep up to four people in one double bed, one single bed and a slideout child s bed. BRING YOUR OWN There s plenty of room for everyone at Le Pas Opton. Bring your own tent, caravan or motorhome and set up your home for the week on one of our spacious emplacements, all with a 10 amp electric hookup. Our standard emplacements are perfect for smaller tents and caravans under six metres long, with our premium emplacements offering more space for an awning or familysized tent. 9 LUXURY VILLAS Le Soleil A traditional split level Vendée house, this holiday home sleeps up to six people in three bedrooms, with one bathroom. It boasts a private terrace at the rear with barbecue and outdoor furniture. La Moisson Villas are a great choice for large families or groups holidaying together. Le Printemps La Moisson The largest and most luxurious of our villas, La Moisson sleeps up to twelve people in four bedrooms, with three bathrooms. Downstairs the living and dining areas are spacious and cool, opening onto a terrace and garden with barbecue and outdoor furniture. La Petite Moisson La Grande Moisson Outside high season, La Moisson can divide into two units: La Petite and La Grande Moisson. La Petite Moisson as an apartment sleeps two to four people, with a simple kitchenette, living area and sofa bed. 11 SHH Pay Using SHH Pay, you can spread the cost of your holiday throughout the year. Make full or partial payments at any time, without the need to phone in. Holiday Grants Do you know a family, couple or individual who deserve a week at Le Pas Opton, but just can t afford a holiday? The generous offerings of Le Pas Opton guests in past years have given us a fund from which we can subsidise up to 50% of a holiday price. Applications for these grants must be made through a church or mission organisation, who are able to pay the remaining balance. For more information and an application form, visit A nonreturnable deposit is made at the time of booking: 50 per fixed tent or BYO space, 100 per mobile home, 250 per villa. The remaining balance is payable eight weeks before your departure date. You can reduce this balance at any time by paying online at or by calling our Customer Service team. 12 Travelling to Le Pas Opton Your holiday begins the moment you leave your front door! Every booking includes a P&O DoverCalais crossing, but we recommend you cut down on car mileage by travelling on a western crossing*. Arriving in Caen, St Malo and other western ports will save fuel and put you straight onto the tollfree road system in this part of France. The prices below are based on travelling to France on a Sunday or Monday and returning on a Monday. Please bear in mind that your accommodation may not be ready until 5pm. With a crossing time of just 35 minutes and up to three departures per hour at peak times, choose the Eurotunnel option for a quick and easy way to cross the channel. The Bible studies and celebrations will be led by the energetic and poetic Phil Knox with a topclass team from YFC and Big Ministries ensuring quality input for all ages. Toddler Friendly Week 411 June Enjoy toddler friendly free play, crafts, games and bedtime stories. If little ones are confident staying with our team, parents can even enjoy some precious time for each other. Count Everyone In 411 June At Le Pas Opton everyone is included. This week we offer a special welcome to adults with learning difficulties with support from our friends Count Everyone In. There will be special celebrations, activities and a day out. Tour de France 69 July This long weekend will take in the first three stages of the world s biggest freetowatch sporting spectacle. Saturday s Grand Départ will start on the Ile de Noirmoutier and pass through St Gilles Croix de Vie, close to Le Pas Opton. Sunday will see us in La Roche sur Yon at the finish of the second stage. Monday s team time trial will give us the chance to watch each team compete at high speed against the clock. For those who want spiritual food for the day, there will be a daily Bible Breakfast. Plus at the end of the day, watch highlights and analysis on the big screen in the bar.
