8 Men & Bo y s Clo thing Breezy Knoll Mercantile is proud to offer a full selection of 18 th and early 19 th century period correct men and boys clothing. The following pages show our standard selection of garments, from work shirts and breeches to regimental coats and capotes. Our standard sizing is youth small to adult XXL for shirts and size 30 to 42 for pants. However, as our garments are handmade in-house we have no problem customizing clothing for those big, small, wide, or tall. Clo thing Fabric s Breezy Knoll Mercantile offers a wide array of fabric choices for all your clothing needs. Each fabric is selected for its quality, specific use, and historical accuracy. Please note that we do offer cotton fabrics as a choice for many of our garments. While not the standard of the 18 th Century, cotton provides an economical, close representation of the linen fabrics used during the period. All wool garments are made from wool manufactured in Woolrich, Pennsylvania by Woolrich, Inc. 19 Clo thing Measurements All measurements should be taken using a tailoring tape measure. Measurements are to be taken with the appropriate undergarments being worn (i.e. wear shirt and waistcoat when measureing for a regimental coat). Chest, hips, thighs and waist measurments are to be taken at the widest point standing in a relaxed posture. Back to waist measurement should be taken from the shoulder line at the neck down to the waist. Below the knee measuresment, required for breeches, should be a tight measurement at the thinist point between the knee and calf. Shoulder measurement should be taken from shoulder corner to shoulder corner across the back with arms relaxed. Breezy Knoll Mercantile's main focus is to maintain an active storefront at Royal Rangers and Frontiersmen Camping Fellowship events. Our desire is to also extend our offerings to the secular reenacting community and events. Branden Krause began living history reenacting as a Royal Rangers leader in the Frontiersmen Camping Fellowship (FCF) in FCF is a special program of Royal Rangers ministry that provides men and boys with additional opportunities to develop specialized outdoor skills based on the lore and traditions of the early American frontiersmen. FCF members participate in special events like Rendezvous where frontier skills are demonstrated and practiced. Competitions are included that promote the development of these skills and reflect the excitement, color, and flair of frontier America. For over 20 years, Ed and Caroline Arnold operated Croatan Traders selling 18 th century products at Royal Rangers and FCF events in the northeast region. Croatan Traders was closed in 2016 and Breezy Knoll Mercantile was founded to continue the service that Croatan Traders offered to the Royal Rangers ministry. Our personal thanks go out to Ed and Caroline Arnold for their dedication, sacrifice, and service which has helped to maintain the quality of the Northeast Region FCF over all these years.
