3 The Opinel company was founded in 1890 in the Savoie region of France by Joseph Opinel. Today, his descendants still own the company, which employs around 100 people, produces 4 million knives per year and sells to 70 countries across the world. The easily - recognisable Opinel folding knife is acknowledged as one of the best knives in the world. The Victoria and Albert Museum lists the Opinel pocket knife as being among the 100 best designs in the world, placing it with icons such as the Porsche 911 and the Rolex watch. In 2006 the Opinel pocket knife was recognised as one of the 999 most successful designs of all times by a jury of international designers in the Phaidon Design Classics. 2

4 TRADITIONAL RANGE The traditional Opinel pocket knife is available in 10 sizes, each size being marked on the collar of the knife. Opinel sizes from 6 to 12 have a Virobloc safety system on the collar, which twists to lock the blade into the open or closed position. OPINEL CARBON STEEL The carbon steel blade has an exceptional cutting quality and is very easy to sharpen. The carbon steel blade has a light smear of lanolin on it when it leaves the factory to protect it from moisture. The blade must be wiped clean from fingerprints and washed and dried after use. The blade will darken in time (hence carbon steel is often called black steel), but in no way will this impinge on the cutting quality of the knife. 16 Maserin Coltellerie has been producing knives since 1960 in Maniago, Italy, a city that is known as the city of knives. Our father Fervido founded the Cutlery in Maniago since 1960 company. He was born in 1934 and started working at the age of 14 as a worker in a factory that produced knives, scissors and tools for agriculture. At that time there was no time for fun only for work, from the morning till night all week long and Saturdays as well. Fervido also had to work in the fields to help his parents. Following military service, he started his small company in a space where he worked components for larger companies and started to make his own models, i.e., the world wide famous STILETTO square meter factory which we are still using today. We are also very proud of the fact that Maserin Coltellerie was the first company in Italy to start a cooperation with Italian knife makers. All of the Maserin family work and contribute to our family company. Our mom, Olga, also worked in the company. From our earliest beginnings, produces a very high quality line of superior knives. We have also NATO NCAGE AJ988 and UNI ISO 9001 certification. We have our own designs and produce customized products for private label and corporate logos. 25 Behind the Claude Dozorme trademark lies a family business established since 1902 in Thiers, the cutlery capital of France. The Dozorme family has nurtured a passion for knives that has been passed down through the generations and it is now run by the greatgrand daughter Claudine Dozorme. Le Thiers liner-lock are ultra-light, ultra-flat knife with back clip (money clip). It has a highly secure liner opening-closing system, and side protection of the blade s edge. 41 Brothers Steinar and Sigmund Helle started knife production in the old forge on their farm in Holmedal, Norway, in Then, as today, much of the production is done manually. The philosophy remains the same: Quality craftmanship is best preserved by skilled craftsmen - those with extensive experience and knowledge who still take pride in making each and every Helle knife unique. Many Helle knives have a unique triple laminated stainless steel blade. The core is made of high alloy steel which gives it a lasting, razor-sharp edge. The outer two layers are of stainless steel(18/8) to protect the blade against breakage and corrosion, while the high carbon core still provides a superb cutting edge Knives are tastefully presented in a special presentation cardboard tube box, with sheath, information and a soft polishing cloth.
