HOW MUCH: $329/ CORNERSTONE STUDENT $229/ CORNERSTONE STUDENT BRINGING A NON-CORNERSTONE ATTENDING FRIEND $99/ NON-CORNERSTONE ATTENDING STUDENT However, any Cornerstone student who brings a friend who has never checked-in at The Warehouse for a Saturday/Sunday service or Wednesday evening service pays half! That s only $229 for the Cornerstone student and $99 for each additional non-cornerstone friend in 6-12th grade! It pays to bring friends! INCLUDED IN THE PRICE: Everything the student needs including: Bus transportation to/from Cornerstone Ministries, all meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late night snacks), housing, and a camp shirt.

2 NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE: There are a few instances where students should bring additional money to Camp Allegheny. All instances are add-ons to the Vertical Camp experience and are not required for your student to gain the full camp experience. (1) Camp Allegheny will have camp merchandise and snacks available for sale at certain times. (2) If students pre-register for horseback riding, they will need to bring an extra $25 for the cost of the activity. TEACHING FOCUS: MORNING SESSIONS: Our morning teaching times will be built around dynamic, interactive sessions, focused on helping students understand their Chazown. Chazown is the Hebrew word for vision, describing the plan God had in mind for us when we were created. Each of us is a masterpiece, placed on earth for a unique purpose that's solely ours to fulfill. We will focus on helping students discover their chazown by examining their core values, spiritual gifts, and past experiences. These three areas will help them identify common themes, bring clarity to their unique passions, and lead them to the start discovering God s plan just for them. EVENING SESSIONS: Our evening sessions and small group times will center around our topic, For The Win. Here is a description: Basically we all want to win at life. And while there s no way to guarantee you will win in every area, there are some things you can do to help you get there. In fact, there s an entire book in the Bible, the book of Proverbs, dedicated to giving solid advice that can help us win at life. During this series, we ll take a look at several key verses from Proverbs that can set you up for the win in the areas you care about the most. Parents: If your child is planning on getting Baptized at camp this year, please plan on joining us for the Baptism Service, Thursday Night from 7:00-9:00pm. HOW TO SIGN UP: Registration & Camp Details Are Available

CELL PHONE POLICY: We strongly discourage students from having cell phones at Camp because this encourages them to spend time calling/texting friends, etc. rather than building relationships with other students. If parents wish for their child to have a phone in case of emergency, to check in with mom/dad during camp, or to take photos we ask that the phone be turned off during sessions. Please keep the phone in a secure place for scheduled use by the camper only, as Cornerstone Ministries is not responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged items. Any phone found by camp counselors during sessions, will be confiscated and held until Check-Out on Friday. The parents or guardians will be notified. SNACKS: Please supply your son or daughter with whatever snacks you would like for them to have. There is no refrigerator in the rooms so please keep that in mind when packing supplies. Also zip lock bags are a great idea to keep critters from entering our rooms. NOTE: PLEASE REFRAIN FROM BRINGING ANY SNACKS THAT CONTAIN NUTS! Any snacks brought to camp made with or containing nuts will be immediately trashed. We have several students who have bad allergies. Please consider them in your plans.

Parents with students who have medications should drop-off and pick-up those medications at the medication station with our on call nurse. BAPTISM CELEBRATION: This year we will be holding our very first baptism service at Camp Allegheny on Thursday, June 22 at 7 PM. We are inviting any student in 6 12 grade who has (1) accepted Jesus as their personal savior, (2) participates in the baptism class prior to camp, and (3) has their parents permission/signature in the registration form to be baptized at camp. If your child is getting baptized at camp, we would love for your family and friends to join us, and make this wonderful event a huge celebration. We will be holding a baptism service, Thursday Night, from 7:00-9:00pm. DIRECTIONS TO CAMP ALLEGHENY: Camp Allegheny is located in Stoystown, PA on Route 30. It is an easy drive from Cornerstone Ministries. Approximately 1.5 hours away from Cornerstone Ministries. Address: 100 Camp Allegheny Drive, Stoystown, PA 15563

8 Frequently asked questions: Camp: How will middle and high school students be separated during camp? Middle School students will have their own small group leaders and living space that is separate from High School. Large group programs will be combined with small group breakout times by grade and gender. Students will be separated in cabins by grade and gender. Depending on the number of students multiple grades may be in the same cabin, however MS and HS students will bunk in separate living areas. Is transportation to/from Camp Allegheny included in the price of camp? Yes! Parents should drop students off on Sunday, June 18th between 2:30-3:00 pm at the Cornerstone Ministries main church lobby. Students will be divided by middle school and high school as much as possible on the bus ride to/from Camp Allegheny. The school buses will depart Cornerstone at 3:30 pm and transport students and leaders to Camp Allegheny. Students and leaders will return to the main church parking lot on Sunday, June 23rd at approximately 12:15 pm for pick up. If your child(ren) has any medications, those medicines should be dropped off and picked up at the medication station with our camp nurse. Where do the students sleep? All students will be grouped in cabins according to grade and gender with at least two adult leaders of the same gender in the cabin. Students should bring their own sleeping bag (or twin sized sheets & blankets) and pillow. Please see the Packing list section for all packing details. Note: The cabins at Camp Allegheny are NOT Air-Conditioned. Therefore, your child may want to bring an optional battery operated fan for cooling on those hot nights. Here is an amazon link to a moderately priced fan that students have preferred in the past. What is the student to leader ratio? We anticipate the ratio will be approximately 6:1. How will the students be supervised? Students are supervised in their cabins by adults who serve as cabin leaders. All leaders have been trained by our Student Ministry Staff, and have been through background screening. Overall, students will have plenty of watchful eyes all over the camp areas throughout the weekend! FAQ s Continued on the Next Page

9 More FAQ s Will there be a nurse, and will the nurse handle medicine that my child needs? Yes there will be a nurse on call with us at Camp Allegheny who will be available 24/7 to any student that has a need. Also, the nurse will hold and distribute all medication that students need throughout the weekend. At student drop off on Friday evening, parents/guardians should deliver medicine to the medication station with the nurse. Parents/guardians should also claim medications at the medication station when picking up their student(s). Please list all medicines, dosage, and frequencies as prompted during the online registration process. Belongings: Can my student bring a cell phone to camp? Students may have their cell phone to check in with parents but cell phone coverage is not reliable at Camp Allegheny. Students will be asked to turn off phones during teaching and activities. If cell phone use is interfering with their camp experience, the leader will hold it for them until assigned times of use. We cannot be responsible for any lost, stolen, broken, or damaged electronic personal equipment. Will the students need extra spending money? There are a few instances where students should bring additional money to Camp Allegheny. What if my student has food allergies or dietary restrictions? If your child has dietary needs such as gluten intolerance, allergies to dyes, or is vegan, we ask that you immediately complete the Allergy/Special Dietary Needs form for each student under your care. The information you submit will be sent directly to the Camp Allegheny Food Service who will note your child s dietary needs/restrictions. If you do not complete the form for your child(ren), it will be presumed they do not have any allergy related to food, or special dietary needs. Is my student allowed to bring food/snacks? Yes! Students are welcome to bring snacks but please remember no snacks with nuts because of potential food allergies of other campers. However, please know students will be well fed with breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a late night snack. Please make sure they eat lunch before they come Sunday afternoon. Camp Baptisms: Will there be a baptism service at camp? Yes! We will hold our very first baptism service at Camp Allegheny on Thursday, June 22 at 7 PM. Who can get baptized at camp? We are inviting any student in 6 12 grade who has (1) accepted Jesus as their personal savior, (2) participates in the baptism class prior to camp, and (3) has their parents permission/signature in the registration form to be baptized at camp on Thursday, June 22 at 7 PM. FAQ s Continued on the Next Page More FAQ s

10 Are parents and other family members invited to the baptism service at camp? Absolutely! We would love for any family and friends who would like to support the students being baptized at summer camp to join us at Camp Allegheny on Thursday, June 22 from 7-9 pm. What steps should I take if my son/daughter would like to be baptized at camp? First, have a conversation with your son/daughter to find out if getting baptized is something they are ready to do as a profession of faith in Jesus. Second, during the registration process, click "yes" under the baptism section and provide a parent s signature giving your permission. Last, students must participate in the baptism class at The Warehouse on a Sunday morning prior to the week of camp. What if my son/daughter decides at camp they would like to be baptized? If a student decides they would like to be baptized at camp we will ask them a few questions to ensure they understand the purpose/meaning of baptism. Then, we will call home to receive permission from parents. If we receive permission, students will then go through a similar baptism class at camp. Then, they can also be baptized on Thursday night. Financial: Is there financial aid available for the Winter Retreat? Yes. We never want finances to be the barrier for a student to go to one of our events, camps, or retreats. If financial aid is needed, simply call us at Ext. 223 and together we will figure out a way to get the student on the trip. We generally do not offer any full scholarships. We ask that you commit to fundraising of some sort to supplement whatever cost may remain. Remember, the best way to bring the price down is for a Cornerstone student to bring a friend in 6-12th grade who has never attended a service at The Warehouse before, because if they do, both students go for a discounted price - $229 for the Cornerstone Student & $99 for the Non- Cornerstone Friend! Is it true that the price is different if a Cornerstone student brings a non-cornerstone friend? Yes, completely true. If a Cornerstone student invites a friend who has never checked-in at The Warehouse for a Saturday/Sunday service or Wednesday evening service both students are given a discounted price! That s $229 for the Cornerstone student and $99 for each additional non-cornerstone friend in 6-12 grade. Only one Cornerstone student can receive the $100 discount for a non-cornerstone invitee. In other words, a Non-Cornerstone student registrant can only be listed on one Cornerstone student s registration as their guest. What if non-cornerstone student signs-up for Vertical Camp without an invite? Any student in 6-12th grade who has never checked-in at The Warehouse for a Saturday/Sunday service or Wednesday evening service and signs-up for the Vertical Camp will receive the discounted price of $99.
