1 NEBRASKA AVIATION TRADES ASSOCIATION Website: SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION The 2011 NATA scholarships are available to any Nebraska high school senior or individual continuing their education. This application form must be received by March 15, THIS FORM MAY BE DUPLICATED. Please read the general instructions before completing your scholarship packet. The essay topic is: An Interview With An Aerial Applicator The essay must be a minimum of 400 words and must be double spaced. The applicant must be recommended by a member of the Nebraska Aviation Trades Association. Your local aerial applicator would be your key person to contact for "behind the scenes information." A list of NATA ag pilots including their location and phone number is attached for your reference. 2 THIS FORM MAY BE DUPLICATED NEBRASKA AVIATION TRADES ASSOCIATION 2011 SCHOLARSHIP GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS THE APPLICATION MUST INCLUDE AN ENDORSEMENT OR WRITTEN RECOMMENDATION SIGNED BY A VOTING OR ASSOCIATE NATA MEMBER AG PILOT 1. A $1,000 and $500 scholarship presented by the Nebraska Aviation Trades Association is awarded to any high school senior or individual who is a resident of the state of Nebraska continuing their education and a full time student. 2. The scholarship is for one year and is nonrenewable. 3. All applications with essay of minimum of 400 words double spaced must be received by March 15, The Essay topic is An Interview With an Aerial Applicator 4. Outstanding scholastic achievements, leadership, and a written essay are the criteria by which applicants will be judged. The essay is a critical part of the selection criteria. 5. Applicant must use an official application which has been dated and signed by the student. Typewritten applications and essays are preferred over handwritten submissions. 6. Application must include an endorsement or written recommendation signed by a Voting or Associate member of the Nebraska Aviation Trades Association. A list of members is attached. 7. Applications and all supporting documents must be in English. 8. Official high school transcripts of student records from the beginning of the 9th grade to due date of application must accompany all applications. 9. SAT and ACT test scores or related equivalent must be included with application. 10. Copies of exhibits of achievement in scholarship may be attached. 11. The Women's Nebraska Aviation Trades Association shall pick a minimum of three members as the Selection Committee. 12. Winner will be notified prior to May 15, 2011.
