2 (formerly Engineering Export Promotion Council) Chairman s Pen My dear fellow exporters, The Government of India has decided to extend the Interest Subvention Scheme for Rupee Export Credit and as also widen the scheme to include certain items covering the Engineering Sectors. The Scheme will be made available to the Engineering Sector on pre and post shipment export credit on the same terms and conditions as available to other sectors. 4 Hotel Accommodation/Travel Expenses All participants will be booked in the same hotel for convenience. Hotel charges, air ticketing and visa fees etc. will have to be borne by the individual participant. EEPC India will recommend for obtaining visas to these countries. Registration and Participation Charges Rs. 50,000/- per participant per company will be charged to partially cover the expenses on providing following facilities to the participants: - Airport Transfer - Venue Expenses for B2B business meetings, working lunch on B2B day - Mobilization of buyers for B2B business meetings - Printing of delegates profile for distribution among the Buyers, Chamber of Commerce, Trade Associations and Embassies Other individual expenses like hotel charges, food expenses (other than the lunch provided by EEPC India at each center on the day of BSM), other transport expenses for meetings/factory visits will have to be borne by the delegates. Additional delegate from the same company will be required to pay an additional fee of Rs 30,000/- to defray the expenses on account of airport transfers and working lunches during the day of the B2B business meetings. Benefit of the Member-Exporters EEPC India is organizing this event under the MAI Scheme of Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India. Therefore no MDA grant would be available. The rates mentioned above are subsidized as per MAI Scheme of Government of India. ITMEX is organized once in every four years. ITMEX AMERICAS 2013 is the 11th edition and organized by Reed Exhibition. ITMEX AMERICAS 2013 edition will coincide with FEIMACO (7th International Garment Industry Machinery and Components Trade Fair) and NT&TT Show (5th International Nonwovens & Technical Textiles Trade Fair). 13 MDA Entitlements All eligible participants will be entitled to MDA grant under Focus LAC Programme of Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India as per the MDA Guidelines effective from April 01, Assistance would be permissible on travel expenses by Air in Economy Excursion Class fare and/or charges of built up furnished stall subject to an upper ceiling of Rs. 1,80,000/- (Rupees one lakh eighty thousand only). Further, eligibility for MDA grant is subject to exporting companies having FOB value of exports up to Rs. 15 crores in the preceding year, having complete 12 months membership with EEPC India with regular filing of returns and fulfilling other conditions, details of which can be obtained from respective Regional Offices of EEPC India. 15 EEPC India Invites Participation for India Pavilion at INAPA 2013, Jakarta, Indonesia ( March, 2013) Indonesia and its Economy Indonesia with 240 million of population is the largest economy in Southeast Asia and also one of the emerging market economies of the world. Indonesia is also the member of G-20 major economies. Domestic consumption is one of the major driving forces behind the country s economic growth. The economic growth slowed considerably during However, like India and China, Indonesia recorded higher growth during the global financial crisis, compared to the other G20 members with GDP 5.5% in Indonesia s economy expanded a higher-than-expected 6.4% in the second quarter as robust domestic demand offset a decline in the international appetite for its exports. The economic expansion came despite signs that the country s commodities exporters are being hit by the global slowdown. Indonesia s exports which are dominated by natural resources such as coal, palm oil and tin have been sliding as commodity prices slip and demand from places like China and India have slowed. Indonesia announced last week that it recorded its worst-ever trade gap in June as strong domestic demand boosted imports even as its exports fell.
