The event will be held in downtown Omaha on Sunday, May 6, the morning following the Annual Meeting. 6 SUNDAY, MAY 6 continued Event Details: With over 30,000 square feet of sales floor space and 100,000 items of inventory, you re sure to find a treasure to remember the weekend by. See one-of-a-kind jewelry, watches and gifts brought in exclusively for Berkshire Hathaway shareholders by the world s leading designers. On Saturday, shop at Borsheims and watch the live feed of the annual meeting on Borsheims large screen projections, just outside our mall entrance. On Sunday, the store opens at 9am with complimentary brunch and continues with world-champion activities at 1pm. Bridge champions Bob Hamman and Sharon Osberg will take on shareholders and Table Tennis Champion Ariel Hsing will provide entertainment. Because Borsheims values the safety and security of all shareholders, please expect security measures. Metal detectors and bag checks will occur at all entrances to Regency Court. No parking will be allowed on the North side of Regency Court in front of Borsheims. Noon 10pm Gorat s Steakhouse 4917 Center Street Event Details: One of Warren s favorite steakhouses will open Sunday for a private shareholder event. Dinner will be served from Noon-10pm. To get a reservation, call 402/ starting on April 2 (but not before). If Gorat s happens to be booked on Sunday, try them on any other day you are in town. They are open Monday Thursday 11am 9pm, Friday 11am 10pm and Saturday from 5 10pm. Reservations are suggested and can be made any time for Thursday, Friday or Saturday of the shareholders weekend. 8 Important Notes Will Call If you do not receive your credentials by mail or forget to bring them with you, please bring proof of ownership and photo identification to the Will Call area in the lobby of the CenturyLink Center. Any questions or problems you may have regarding the weekend and/or your meeting credentials can be handled at the Will Call area. Meeting Credentials Your Annual Meeting Credential is your ticket for enjoying the shareholder-only events and discounts over the weekend. Your credential is mandatory for admission to the various venues. Please be careful to remember your meeting credential when planning to participate in shareholder activities. Breakfast and Lunch Fare Breakfast pastries and coffee will be available at various locations on the Concourse of the Arena as well as in the Exhibit Hall and Convention Center. Concession stands will be offering lunch options for purchase starting at 9am. 6 Pre-Purchase Lunch Tickets Levy Restaurants will again offer Jason s Deli boxed lunches on Saturday, May 5. They will have pre-pay lunch locations open throughout the CenturyLink Center starting when doors open for shopping on Friday, May 4. Pre-pay lunch tickets can be purchased until the lunch break on Saturday, May 5. This allows shareholders the ability to pre-purchase their boxed lunches ahead of time (avoiding long lines) so you can grab and go whenever you want on Saturday. Pre-pay lunch tickets are $15 and can be redeemed for your lunch at any Express Lunch Distribution location on Saturday, May 5 (boxed lunches only distributed on Saturday, May 5). The variety of boxed lunch options will be based on availability per distribution location.

9 Americans With Disabilities Act The CenturyLink Center Omaha is a public facility subject to Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The facility is accessible to disabled patrons, as required by the ADA and applicable regulations. An ADA entrance is located in the Main Arena Lobby on the 10th Street side of the building. ADA seating is available on the main floor, as well as locations throughout the arena. Event Staff personnel will be available to direct you. ADA parking is located in the parking garage as well as lots B, C and D. Cameras/Recording Equipment/Cell Phones Taking photographs and recording audio or video while the annual meeting is in session (including the movie portion), is strictly prohibited. This includes the use of cell phones for these purposes. This policy will be rigorously enforced. Offenders are subject to equipment confiscation, meeting credential revocation, and dismissal from the meeting. Seat Saving We have received complaints from some shareholders about excessive seat saving in the Arena the morning of the meeting. Reserving a few seats for your group is certainly acceptable, but blocking off entire rows is unfair to other shareholders. Security will assist in enforcing this policy. Student Seating Due to increasing attendance numbers, and in order to not impose on our shareholder seating in the Arena, we are asking the students to view the meeting from the Grand Ballroom at the Omaha Hilton. We have made arrangements for a live broadcast (including the company movie) in the ballroom. When the meeting adjourns for the lunch break, students are welcome to join the shareholders at the CenturyLink Center. 7

10 Live Stream For the third year, Yahoo will webcast the May 5th Berkshire meeting, going live at 8:45am CST. Visit The Bookworm ( The Bookworm will be back with a selection of more than 40 book and DVD titles for you to choose from. Shareholders receive a 20% discount. Shipping service is available. The books selected for sale at the Berkshire annual meeting are available year round at Shipping Service Our on-site shipping service will be back and we encourage you to take advantage of the convenience of shopping heavily and traveling home light! Located next to the Show Office in the Exhibit Hall, you may have all of your purchases packed and shipped right on the spot. Please note there is a charge for this service rates cannot be negotiated and may run a little higher due to limited shipping options. Also note that this service is limited to items that are purchased at the meeting. Insurance can be purchased on items if you are concerned about loss or damage. Please Note: This service will close on Friday by 4pm and Saturday by 3pm. Travel Make your arrangements for the meeting as early as possible. 12 A Message From Your Chairman Financial journalists from organizations representing newspapers, magazines and television will participate in the question-and-answer period, asking Charlie and me questions that shareholders have submitted by . The journalists and their addresses are: Carol Loomis, the preeminent business journalist of her time, who may be ed at Becky Quick, of CNBC, at and Andrew Ross Sorkin, of The New York Times, at From the questions submitted, each journalist will choose six or so he or she decides are the most interesting and important. (In your , let the journalist know if you would like your name mentioned if your question is selected.) In addition, we will have a second group of panelists asking us questions from the stage as well. Neither Charlie nor I will get so much as a clue about the questions to be asked. We know the journalists will pick some tough ones and that s the way we like it. We will have a drawing at 8:15am at each of the 11 microphone locations for those shareholders wishing to ask questions themselves. At the meeting, I will alternate the questions asked by the journalists and panelists with those from the winning shareholders. Microphone Manners When asking a question from a microphone zone, please: State your name and hometown. Ask your question promptly speak loud & clear. Do not ask more than one question or attempt to bundle several questions together. Do not ask what we are buying or selling.
