5 90 years flying with you Our 90 year history dates back to the creation of the Parque de Material Aeronáutico (Aeronautical Material Park) on the 29th of June Ten years later, we changed our name to Oficinas Gerais de Material Aeronáutico (General Workshops for Aeronautical Material), which we kept until We have been called OGMA Indústria Aeronáutica de Portugal S.A. (Aeronautical Industry of Portugal, S.A.) ever since. Important achievements and highlights during our journey include the manufacturing of the first Caudron G-3 airplane in 1922, the first contract with the US Navy (1955) and the German Air Force (1962), and the assembly of the first Portuguese satellite in In 2005, a the company took a major step into the future when Embraer and EADS acquired 65% of our shares, thrusting us towards expansion on a global scale and establishing OGMA as a cutting edge company in the Aeronautical market, where we are now one of the leaders in Aircraft Maintenance, Aerostructures, Aeronautical Engineering and Fleet Management. During our rich 90 year history, we have accumulated vast experience and a solid reputation in the aeronautical industry. 12 FIGHTER AND TRAINER HELICOPTERS LOCKHEED MARTIN F-16 DASSAULT/DORNIER Alpha Jet EUROCOPTER SA330 Puma EUROCOPTER Allouette II / III As one of the principal companies in the world to carry out Lockheed Martin F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft life extension programs, we currently have F-16 MLU + Falcon Up + Falcon Star programs underway for the Portuguese Air Force. We are the only company world-wide to carry out the three programs simultaneously. These modernization programs involve structural, electrical and mechanical modifications aimed at further improving aircraft effectiveness and its life. 13 TURBOPROP TURBOFAN ENGINES OGMA is an Authorized Maintenance Center for Rolls-Royce and Turbomeca engines and a service centre for Honeywell TPE331 series engines. Our highly qualified and experienced technicians, supported by our engineering team, provide MRO services for a range of engines for fixed and rotary wing aircraft. ROLLS-ROYCE T-56/501D As one of the leading independent service centers for T-56 engines, we can offer original manufacturer (OEM) components or those from other certified sources, according to our clients preferences and needs. Whichever the choice, all work is be carried out according to the manufacturer s and operator s procedures, using current manuals and other technical publications and benefiting from our comprehensive warranty. Our capability to overhaul the T-56 / 501D engine and nacelle (QEC) while the aircraft is in the hangar for heavy maintenance makes us a unique Integrated Service Station, with many advantages for our clients. HONEYWELL TPE / -10 Our engine facility is certified by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) for the maintenance of TPE and -10 engines, for EADS CASA C-212 and similar aircraft. Our capability to carry out extensive repairs to internal and external engine components ensures that our clients obtain the highest quality at the most economic cost. Because our logistics department acquires engine components directly from the manufacturer (OEM) or from certified vendors, we are able to offer significant reductions in costs and delivery times. With our status as an Integrated Service Station for both aircraft and engine, plus our comprehensive warrant we are the ideal maintenance partner for these types of engines. ROLLS-ROYCE AE 2100 Series In 1993, we were certified as an Authorized Maintenance Center (AMC) for the Rolls-Royce AE2100 series of advanced turboprop engines. Starting with the AE2100 A in the SAAB 2000 regional turbo-prop OGMA became the only independent European AMC of the five MROs worldwide dedicated to support these engines. With the range now including the AE2100D3 in the C-130J Advanced Hercules and the AE2100D2 for Alenia s C-27 Spartan aircraft, as well as some specialist applications, OGMA has become a front-runner, serving the manufacturers, Rolls-Royce and Lockheed Martin, as well as major airline and air force customers world-wide. Our Engineering department prepares work scopes that comply with the requirements of Rolls-Royce Maintenance Plans and the preferences of the operators. We have developed the capability to carry out most of the Rolls-Royce approved engine component repairs, thus minimizing overall repair costs. Ever since the Embraer ERJ135 / 145 regional jets began operations, OGMA has repaired a large number of AE 3007A engines for civil and military operators throughout Europe, North America and Asia. Rolls-Royce itself is one of our largest customers, through its TotalCare and Corporate Care programs. Our Engineering department prepares work scopes that comply with the requirements of Rolls-Royce Maintenance Plans and the preferences of the operators. We have developed the capability to carry out most of the Rolls-Royce approved engine component repairs, thus minimizing overall repair costs. 14 TURBOSHAFT TURBOMECA TURMO III C4 / IV C We are certified by Turbomeca and EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency) to conduct heavy maintenance on Turmo engines equipping Eurocopter SA 330 Puma helicopters. Over the past two decades, we have developed in-depth knowledge of these types of engines through maintaining hundreds of units for military and civil operators. This experience has made us highly competent in supplying solutions for all types of engine performance problems. The Turmo engine s small size and high performance require maintenance to the highest quality and technical standards. We work according to current manufacturer procedures and manuals and our test bench for turboshaft engines is correlated with Turbomeca s master bench. 15 COMPONENTS We are proud of our capability to repair and overhaul the components of most of the aircraft for which we conduct maintenance. In the case of military airplanes, such as the C-130 / L-100 Hercules, P-3 Orion, AlphaJet and EADS CASA C-212, this capability covers over 90% of all the components installed in the aircraft. In the case of helicopters, we cover 100% for the SA 315 / 316 / 319 Alouette and 95% for the SA330 Puma. Since 1997, we have gained competence in the field of commercial aviation components, such as the EMBRAER ERJ145 and E-Jet (170 / 175 / 190 / 195) families. This guarantees OGMA s capability for design, specification and certification of upgrades to aircraft avionics, electrical systems and structures; modifications, including upgrades to communication, navigation, control, radar, reference, self-protection and aircraft instruments. This capability encompasses conceptual design, preliminary and detailed design, modification kit manufacturing, installation and testing.
