Flanagan (Head Dispatch United) What do they want: An automated, timely, international distribution of RSC data in an efficient manner and with the necessary integrity. The data shall be standardized, unambiguous and understandable internationally.

9 How to transition to ICAO SNOWTAM Standard Introduce changes in the CNPM (Canadian NOTAM Procedure Manual) Adapt the AMSCR Form (Aircraft Movement Surface Condition Reports) All changes to the CNPM have been coordinated and consolidated with TC. An TC Advisory Circular is scheduled to be released for end of June 2012

10 Validity Period SNOWTAMs are valid for a maximum period of 24 hours The onus is on the Airport Authority to apply this rule however, NAV CANADA has the authority to cancel old NOTAMJ if found Eventually, automatically cancelled by the system

21 Feedback: Contaminants Current Choice is 2 contaminants for the cleared surface with a 3rd Bare and dry by default. The new state shall be: 3 contaminants all selectable 100%. Current Choice is 1 contaminant for the uncleared portion with a 2nd bare and dry by default. The new state shall be: 2 contaminants all selectable 100%.

22 Feedback: Depth The value 1.5 INS will be added and applicable for the contaminants of the cleared width. Change adopted due to operational requirements.

34 Road to NOTAMWiz Phase 1 Phase 1 (Q Q4 2014) A web based direct entry interface for all possible NOTAM publishers/creators (GUI) called: NOTAMWiz The interface is being developed closely with the key stakeholders:» Airports and FIC» Tech Ops» NOF» Cell Tower Companies Introduction of VNOF concept and new series.
