Situated below Table Mountain, Devil's Peak and Lion's Head, Cape Town offers a rich cultural and industrial heritage, grand splendor and an assurance of activity of excitement at the V&A Waterfront. Highlights include: Table Mountain weather permitting (otherwise Signal Hill), Scenic coastal drive through Clifton & Sea Point, Green Market Square, District Six, the Company Gardens, Scenic City tour passing the Houses of Parliament, the City Hall, the Castle and Slave lodge. In the city itself, visit the S.A. Museum, the Castle of Good Hope and the vibrant and arty flea market, Greenmarket Square. Take a trip through the picturesque BoKaap. PICK UP TIME 08:30 hours DROP UP TIME 17:00 hours DURATION 8:30 hours Today, we depart along the Atlantic Seaboard via Sea Point, Clifton and Camps Bay, stopping at a Llandudno lookout point before continuing to Hout Bay, a quaint village and fishing harbor with magnificent mountain views and beach. On through Chapman's Peak, one of the world's most breathtaking coastal drives, to Cape Point and the Good Hope Nature Reserve, which has magnificent fynbos vegetation, birdlife, endemic antelope species and zebra, historic lighthouses and shipwrecks. Cape Point is perceived to be the meeting point of the Atlantic and Indian Oceans. Now you go on to historic Simon's Town, a village with charming Victorian architecture, a naval base and a large penguin colony at the beautiful Boulders Beach. Boulders Penguin Colony is home to a growing colony of the vulnerable African Penguin. Wooden walkways allow visitors to view the penguins in their natural habitat and there is also an information centre. Then you will visit the wellknown Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. This is one of eight National Botanical Gardens covering five of South Africa's six different biomes. When Kirstenbosch, the most famous of the gardens, was founded in 1913 to preserve the country's unique flora, it was the first botanical garden in the world with this ethos. The garden is worldrenowned for the beauty and diversity of the Cape Flora it displays and for the magnificence of its setting against the eastern slopes of Table Mountain. Later, return to your hotel. Take some rest and spend time to rejuvenate yourself after a long day.

The town is famous for its oyster festival, warm people and the most magnificent views from Leisure Isle to the Knysna Heads. A visit to Knysna is a sublime blend of adventure and relaxation. It's easy to get into the Knysna spirit as you drive in on the N2 highway from Cape Town. The town is well developed, but it feels as if you're travelling in woodcutter country. On arrival in Knysna you will checkin to your hotel. Freshen up and then later get ready for sunset cruise on the Knysna Lagoon. The rest of the evening is at leisure. Discover South Africa's Little Karoo region, a diverse expanse nestled between the verdant Garden Route and the Great Karoo, on this fullday trip from Knysna to Oudtshoorn. With an expert guide, visit the Cango Caves, a subterranean wonderland of eerie rock formations and vast caverns. Next, visit a working ostrich farm. Get up close to these huge, flightless birds the tallest and heaviest in the world and marvel at the sheer size of their nests and eggs. Learn how their bulky bodies and powerful legs make them capable of carrying humans and, if you're feeling brave, seize the chance to ride one. Later, continue to the Cango Wildlife Ranch on the outskirts of Oudtshoorn. Stretching for 80 km along the scenic Southern Cape coast we travel from Knysna to the Tsitsikamma National Park, proclaimed in 1964 as the first marine national park on the African continent. Tsitsikamma is also referred to as 'the place of much water'. It protects a wonderland of intertidal life, reef and deepsea fish. Dolphins frolicking in the waves, surfing and playing for the sheer joy of life, and the gentle giant of the ocean, the southern right whale visits here, coming inshore to breed. We visit Plettenberg Bay, Natures Valley, Bloukrans Bridge, the highest bungi jump bridge in the world and Stormsriver Bridge.

When it comes to shopping, Sun City offers a selection of boutiques and shops to satisfy any retail therapy cravings. There are memento and gift shops at The Palace of the Lost City and Soho Hotel, top jewelers for diamonds and gold, and in the Entertainment Centre, you will find a fragrance shop, a pharmacy and a range of fashion boutiques, including shoes and accessories. To round off the retail offering, there are shops dedicated to beachwear and sporting goods at both the water parks.

Watch a gold pour, see the miners carry out their traditional tribal and gum boot dancing, learn a bit of their specially devised mine language still used today to cover the many and diverse tribes who worked here. Stroll through the theme park reflecting the life of the mining town at the turn of the last century. There is plenty to do for young and old but remember to wear comfortable walking shoes and Gold Reef City is closed on Mondays & Tuesdays. Children under 6 years of age not allowed underground.
