4 Daily Itinerary DAY ONE: ARRIVAL NAIROBI, KENYA On arrival into Nairobi, clearing customs and immigra.on make your way to the arrivals hall where you will be warmly welcomed by our representa.ves (look for your name on a sign board) and transferred by private vehicle to the historical and tranquil neighbourhood of Karen. The House of Waine is a luxury, bou.que family run retreat set on 2.5 acres of gardens - the perfect mee.ng place for the beginning of your East African experience. Overnight accommoda.on and dinner: House of Waine DAY TWO: NAIROBI - ELSA S KOPJE, MERU NATIONAL PARK, KENYA A@er breakfast transfer to the departure lounge and board your private Cessna Grand Caravan and depart Nairobi heading North to Meru Na.onal Park. 5 DAY EIGHT: MASAI MARA, KENYA - SERENGETI, TANZANIA This morning you will enjoy a morning game drive on the Masai Mara and an a@ernoon drive on the Serenge.. A combina.on of land transfers and charter flights and at the border crossing you will be met by our representa.ves and given special assistance with immigra.on and customs formali.es. The Serenge. is one of the best wildlife viewing loca.ons in Africa. Your next lodge is a semi permanent, in.mate luxury camp that moves twice a year following the migra.on herds. Accommoda.on and meals: Olakira Nomadic Camp for next three nights DAYS NINE & TEN: SERENGETI, TANZANIA Tanzania's oldest and most popular na.onal park, the Serenge. is famed for its annual migra.on, when some six million hooves pound the open plains, as many as 200,000 zebra and 300,000 Thomson's gazelle join the wildebeest s trek for fresh grazing. Yet even when the migra.on is quiet, the Serenge. offers arguably the most scin.lla.ng game- viewing in Africa: great herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephant and giraffe, and thousands upon thousands of eland, topi, kongoni, impala and Grant s gazelle. As you will have your own private vehicle and guides, you will be able to go to wherever the wildlife viewing is at its best. DAY ELEVEN: SERENGETI - NGORONGORO - SELOUS From here board your private plane for a scenic flight over Ngorongoro Crater (weather dependent) or Ol Donyo Lengai the Sacred mountain of the Maasai and an ac.ve volcano. A@er refueling in Arusha, your flight will track south to the remote Selous. The Selous Game Reserve is named a@er the Bri.sh hunter, Frederick Selous and remains Africa s largest wildlife reserve, 500 square kilometres, almost twice the size of Belgium and four.mes larger than the more popular Serenge. in the north of the country. Declared a World Heritage Site in 1982, the most striking feature of the Selous is its Rufiji River system, the largest river in East Africa that drains most of South Western Tanzania's water. Throughout the Selous you'll find various eco systems, diverse landscapes and wildlife. The Selous is home to over 1,000,000 large animals and over half of Tanzania s elephant popula.on. Safari ac.vi.es on offer are diverse, with tradi.onal 4x4 game drives, walking safaris and boa.ng safaris in the wild and untouched reserve. Siwandu Camp is delighpully situated within an open palm forest on the shores of Lake Nzerakera, a massive lake adjoining the Great Rufiji River. Blending in superbly with its natural surroundings in what is one of the most photogenic areas of the Selous Game Reserve. All safari tents are widely spaced along the lake shore ensuring maximum privacy and wonderful views.
