From winter season 2018/19 NEW CATERING New The soup buffet is shortened from am pm, there will be an additional afternoon snack from pm. Since the welfare of our employees is very imortant to us, we are expanding our staff house Lavendel with another 7 units. We had to install a new locking system in the hotel for over 150 doors in spring 2018 (unfortunately we did not get spare parts for the "old" system anymore).

Have fun with a good game of soccer match, basketball match or volleyball match. BOULDERING WALL The wall has a climbing area of approximately 50 m² and has 300 handles. It offers over 15 different routes. With levels of difficulty ranging from 3+ to 8+ and a climbing height up to 3.25 m, there is something for beginners and professionals alike. The beginners corner, with a 25 training wall and simple overhangs, is ideal for newcomers to the sport. The 2 m giant overhang offers an adventure. A 13 metre travers can be climbed from left to right. Although easy at the start, it becomes more difficult and steeper towards the end. The overhanging ship s bow offers technically creative boulderers an opportunity to conquer the wall.

Strap on your skis in the evening, turn night into day and look forward to enjoying the slopes at night from the summit of the Hochwurzen. You can expect a floodlit slope and ideal skiing conditions which can lead to a warming glass of mulled wine at the ski lodge. Planai Classic FIS Schladming Night Race Musicians' Ski World Championship HORSEFEATHERS SUPERPARK Even daring boarders and freestyle skiers get their money's worth when they spend their winter vacation at the Hotel Schwaigerhof. The Horsefeather Superpark on the Planai offers massive kickers and creative obstacles that want to be rocked. Pure fun!

20 Winter activities WINTER HIKING OUR TIP FOR YOU FROM THE MOUNTAIN STATION TO THE ROSSFELD A snow shoe tour in alpine style leads your from the mountain station Hochwurzen to the Rossfeld. Beginning through the forrest, the trail leads to the wide open plateau of the Rossfeld, with amazing surrounding views of the mountain scenery. After a short break one then returns along the same trail. 4-SEASONS HOCHWURZEN TRAIL A beautiful winter hike along a maintained forest path on the Hochwurzen with stunning views. An ascending wide trail mainly though beautiful forest to the Hochwurzen summit (1852). You can either walk up the winter hiking trail to the mountain station or take the cable car up to the summit with a comfortable downhill walk to the starting point. DAY AND NIGHT TOBOGGANING The longest natural toboggan in the Alps starts on the Hochwurzen and extends over 7 km. It can be easily reached with the Hochwurzen cable car. The toboggan run is open every day during daytime. In the evenings the cable car is open Monday - Saturday and the toboggan run is lit until pm.

21 21 Winter activities Winter activities OFF-PISTE RECOMMENDATIONS FAT BIKES Experience a different kind of adventure and explore the region of Schladming Dachstein by bike in the winter. Daily fat bike tours offer you this experience. CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING Whether in classic or skating style, the trails of the Ramsau and Untertal offer something for all cross-country skiers. The rustic huts offer a well-deserved break - on the sun terraces or in the warm, cosy living rooms. SNOWSHOE HIKING Snowshoe hiking is a popular alternative to ski tours. There is hardly any other sport which will allow you to enjoy the pristine winter landscape. We provide the necessary equipment for free at the Hotel Schwaigerhof. HORSE-DRAWN SLEIGH RIDES Discover the secluded, snow-covered valleys with a romantic horse sleigh ride or experience an unforgettable day with the whole family during your winter holiday. DACHSTEIN TRIP You must not forget to visit the Dachstein during your winter holiday. The cable car is included in your ski pass. Experience a breathtaking panorama of the Dachstein and enjoy the fantastic view. CROSSING OF THE DACHSTEIN GLACIER Known as one of the most beautiful ski tours in the whole of the Alps, the Dachstein crossing is the best way to experience the UNESCO World Heritage Natural Cultural and Natural Site of the Dachstein. It is something which every sporting nature enthusiast should experience at least once in their lives. From approx. mid December to the end of January, the Dachstein cable car is closed due to maintenance work. CURLING Both among locals and guests, the national sport of the Alps is encountering great enthusiasm once again. A variety of curling rinks can be found in Rohrmoos and Schladming.

The court of jurisdiction is Schladming/Austria. Unless otherwise agreed, the Austrian hotel contract conditions apply. PAYMENT We usually recommend payment with MAESTRO card (Austria, Germany, Netherlands) or in cash. The following credit cards are acceptable: Visa and MasterCard (Diners Club). CANCELLATION CONDITIONS If the holiday is cancelled up to 8 weeks before the start of the holiday, we will reimburse your deposit minus a handling fee of per booking. If the holiday is cancelled within 8 weeks of the start of the holiday, the deposit will lapse in our favour. If the holiday is cancelled during the last 3 weeks before the start of the holiday, then we must charge you in full minus per person and per day for catering. This also applies to late holiday arrival and early departure. TRAVEL CANCELLATION INSURANCE And if something comes up? With the booking confirmation you will receive information about our partner, Europäischen Reiseversicherung. We recommend that you take out the comprehensive travel cancellation and holiday cover.
