ALL SUITES HAVE: Dish Network and 27 TV, VCR/DVD player, telephone w/ voice mail, Wireless internet for your computer needs, private bathroom, living room and kitchen facilities include small refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and dishes. There is no road system into Seldovia due to a glacier run-off field so the adventure begins once you decide you will go to Seldovia. There are many ways to get here. The most adventurous is to take a boat tour to Seldovia, which includes a tour of Gull Island. Then return by air with a flight-see trip and view glaciers and mountain goats, its breath-taking! State Ferry: You may bring your vehicle or motor home over on the Alaska Marine Highway Ferry, which runs twice a week in the summer. Things To Do in Seldovia Everything is within walking distance, restaurants, grocery, shopping, bar, harbor, fishing and post office. Explore our historic picturesque village; stroll along and read the series of interpretive natural history signs and learn of our colorful heritage. Walk the old boardwalk, a remnant of the original from pre-earthquake days. Visit the Alaska Tribal Cache Gift Shop and taste the assorted wild jams & jellies. Tour the Tribal Visitors Center & museum and view local historical artifacts. Relax and enjoy a delicious meal on the unique tables of the Tide Pool restaurant overlooking the harbor. Picnic at the Outside Beach- Pick up supplies at the Main Street Market and enjoy a beach outing overlooking the Kachemak Bay. Relax to the soothing music of gentle waves washing ashore, marvel at the spectacular panoramic view of the majestic mountains and the three snow capped Volcanoes just across the bay. And 60 miles down the bay is the St Augustine Island Volcano. In the summer on a hot sunny day, you can enjoy the beach and witness a glorious sunset at midnight. Visit Enjoy the bounty of the sea; avoid the combat fishing holes and come to Seldovia where the fish roam the lagoon that cuts through Seldovia. Fish Kings at the lagoon or at the local hot spot- the Lagoon Bridge. You can also fish on the waterfront, adjacent to Seldovia Bayview Suites.

All trails are pedestrian trails. The Otterbahn Trail starts in town behind the school. It s a moderately easy hike, winding through spruce forests and across a small boardwalk leading to the Kachemak Bay beach. The Rocky Ridge Trail is a signed 2½ mile trail. It is a moderately difficult hike so not for small children. The trail offers a view of both bays, and volcanoes. The Tutka Bay Trail is a moderately easy trail of 1 1/2 miles starting from the Jakolof Bay area. Kayak the local Bays: Bring Your own or rent. Seldovia and Jakolof Bays are beautiful and serene. Spend a week-end and explore. Once you have paddled our bays, you are sure to make plans to return with friends. Kids On The GO have lots of fun year round in Seldovia. The local Seldovia Village Tribe provides scheduled activities for kids to get outside and enjoy Alaska s precious summer. The Tribe has supervised hikes; beginners, intermediate and advanced, some with campouts for children. (parent s are welcome to join in) Stop in at the Village Tribe Visitor s Center, next to the harbor, and pick up a summer program schedule and get your kids involved for an unforgettable summer of fun. And a 4 bedroom 2 bath Master Suite. All suites are converted apartments. Can freeze your fish or berries and hold until you leave. No pets.
