2 1921 Lilac Lane Grapevine, Texas Dear RV Enthusiast, Thank you for your interest in Adventure Treks the leading provider of RV caravans to Alaska, Mexico and the Canadian Maritime Provinces. In 1994, Betty (my wife) and I made our first trip to Alaska. We were overwhelmed by the beauty of the remote wilderness and have returned to Alaska every year since. We have enjoyed travel in Alaska so much, we decided to find a way to share our love for the northwest and RV travel with others. In 2001 we started Alaska RV Adventures (now called Adventure Treks) offering one tour a year. Since then we have grown, offering tours to Mexico and the Canadian Maritime Provinces as well as 8 tours to Alaska. Over the years we have guided hundreds of satisfied guests. And now we are pleased to offer our newest tour to the entertainment mecca of the midwest, Branson. New this year, we are introducing a new option for our Alaska travelers; "Alaska One-Way". This option allows you to travel to Alaska with the caravan gaining experience traveling the Alaska Highway. Then you depart the caravan in Anchorage and explore on your own. You can then travel home via the Alaska Highway or book a one-way passage on the inland ferry. This option allows the Alaska traveler the maximum amount of free time while having the safety and security of the caravan on their journey to Alaska. I would like to take a little bit of your time and provide information about what we offer. It is a lot of information to digest. But, I am a firm believer in making informed decisions and want to provide you everything you need to assist you with your decision. I am glad that you have decided to investigate RV caravans. It really is the best way to see unfamiliar territories and offers many benefits. First and foremost, RV caravans offer a level of safety that you can t get while traveling alone. Our guides have traveled these roads many times and can alert you to road hazards ahead. The TailGunner, traveling as the last rig in the group, watches out for anyone that breaks down and provides roadside assistance. And, there is safety in numbers. An added benefit to traveling with a caravan is the opportunity to build friendships with other like-minded RV travelers. Many of my guests have said that it is comforting to know they will see familiar faces at the campground each night and that they have built friendships on our tours that last many years. All of our guests have expressed a desire to maintain contact after their trip is over. Needless to say, RV caravans provide you with a planned itinerary. My wife and I have used our traveling experiences to create an itinerary that provides you with the best-of-the-best. We know the best tours, the best places to visit, the best museums, shows and campgrounds. We select activities to immerse you in the

3 local culture, natural surroundings and history. If you were traveling alone you might get lucky and choose to visit some of these places. But in the process, waste a lot of time at inferior campgrounds and ho-hum tours. Most people have a limited time and budget for vacations and want to make you the most of your resources. Our guests have rated our tours as an Outstanding Value and said they would recommend us to their friends. I am so confident of our customer satisfaction; I am sharing with you a list of prior guests that you may contact. Before deciding to form our company, my wife and I did a lot of research. We visited with a lot of people traveling with caravans to learn about what they liked and disliked. They liked the safety of traveling in a group but didn't want to be treated like cattle. They liked having a planned itinerary but wanted free time to use as they wished. They enjoyed traveling with like-minded people but wanted the freedom to be alone when they wanted. We listened and decided that we could do it better than the big companies. The big companies maximize their profits by forcing their customers into large caravans (up to 40 rigs). Our caravans are limited to 15 rigs. Smaller caravans allow the guests to get to know each other in a smaller, more comfortable setting and allow our staff to get to know each guest on a first-name basis. Our smaller caravans provide many social opportunities to build friendships that will last. Our guests do not feel like they are cattle. We don t dress you in company logo vests, jackets or hats. We don t herd you from one place to the next. Our staff takes the time to get to know each guest by name. We treat you as individuals. While we offer a fully planned itinerary that provides the best-of-the-best activities, we build-in a lot of free time. Some of the larger companies plan their itineraries around activities that maximize their profits. They have large advertising budgets and the office staff to pay for. They herd you into tours, museums and shows that can be provided at the cheapest cost. They fill your days with ho-hum activities at little or no cost to them. They take you to shop at stores that provide kickbacks to them on every purchase you make. We don t use those tactics. We plan our itinerary based on the fun, interesting, entertaining and educational activities my wife and I have experienced first-hand. We believe in growing our company based on providing value to our guests and devoting our efforts to satisfying our customers, key components in the success of our company. I hope that after you read this material and compare what we offer, you will choose Adventure Treks. We pride ourselves on exceeding our customer s expectations. Don t hesitate to call me if you have any questions. I look forward to meeting you on an upcoming tour. Sincerely, David Baxley, President and Tour Guide Adventure Treks, LLC

Frequently Asked Questions 1. How many miles do we drive per day? The mileage varies each day based on the availability of campgrounds and road conditions. The daily mileage is planned so that if you leave the campground by 9:00 am, you can easily arrive at the next campground by 2:00 pm and averages about 150 miles per day. 2. I want to bring my motor home. Do I need a towed vehicle? On our other tours, towed vehicles are a matter of personal preference. Many guests like to use their towed vehicle to sightsee after they arrive at the campground. 3. Are the roads in Alaska as rough as they say they are? The road conditions vary each year, but generally are good; much like traveling on country roads in the lower 48. There are some roads that are in poor condition but easily passable if you drive slowly and carefully. 4. Do cell phones work? Cell phone service is available only in the larger cities. In Canada you may have to pay high roaming fees whenever there is service. Check with your provider for more information on your particular plan. 5. Can I get my prescriptions filled? My best advice to you is to bring sufficient medicine to last the entire trip. You can get prescriptions filled in Canada, if you see a Canadian doctor first. 6. Is internet access available? Yes. A lot of the campgrounds offer wireless access. You must have an b card in your computer in order to use the wireless service. Page 1

6 7. How can my family contact me in case of an emergency? We provide a list of the campgrounds were we will be staying that includes contact information. Many of our guests leave a copy of this with their loved ones in case they need to contact them. 8. Is emergency medical service available? Yes. Keep in mind though that when we travel in remote areas, response times will generally be slower than in the lower 48. In Canada and Alaska, good quality medical care is available. 9. What if I breakdown on the road? Our TailGunner travels in the back of the pack. He will not pass any rig on our tour. When he sees one of our rigs stopped along the highway, he will stop and provide assistance if needed. 10. Can I bring my pet? Absolutely. We only stay at campgrounds that allow pets. There are usually pet sitting services available if needed. In Canada you will need to provide a Health Certificate from your vet and have proof of rabies vaccination. 11. How much does fuel cost? Fuel prices in Alaska are on par with the lower 48 and higher in Canada (about 30%). Our TrekMasters will share with you the location of fuel stops that are less expensive or offer discounts to our guests. 12. What if I need to cancel my reservation? Just let us know as soon as possible. If we get a 60 day notice, all money paid will be refunded. If you cancel after that, we retain $300 plus any non-refundable deposits made on your behalf. The $300 can be used as a credit on any future tour you book with us. If you need to leave a tour due to an emergency, you will be provided a pro-rated refund. 13. Do we have full services every night of the tour? The campgrounds in Alaska generally provide 30 amp electrical service, water and sewer (or a dump station). Several remote campgrounds that are powered by their own on site generators offer 15 amp electricity. On some of our tours, there are 1-2 nights of dry camping. 14. How much free time is available? A lot. Travel times are generally planned so that you will get to the campground by 2:00 pm. There are also many free days in the schedule. 15. Can we buy food along the way? All major towns have grocery stores. Our trip documentation will help you to plan food purchases. Almost all of the campgrounds have restaurants within walking distance. 16. Are there any evening activities? Our Deluxe tours provide many activities. In addition we plan bingo, cards and potluck dinners. 17. What is the difference between Deluxe and SuperSaver tours? SuperSaver tours are designed for the budget minded traveler that wants the safety, convenience and camaraderie of traveling with a group but do not want to participate in all of the activities that the Deluxe tours offer. Both tours include all travel planning, campground fees, morning coffee, the services of the TrekMaster and TailGunner, and campground fees. 26 So you made it this far. I guess you deserve a reward. We can t afford to send everyone a gift so here are a few jokes instead. By the way, Thank You for considering Adventure Treks. David Baxley Wife vs. Husband A couple drove down a country road for several miles, not saying a word. An earlier discussion had led to an argument and neither of them wanted to concede their position. As they passed a barnyard of mules, goats, and pigs, the husband asked sarcastically, "Relatives of yours?" "Yep," the wife replied, "in-laws." Words A husband read an article to his wife about how many words women use a day... 30,000 to a man's 15,000. The wife replied, "The reason has to be because we have to repeat everything to men... The husband then turned to his wife and asked, "What?" Creation A man said to his wife one day, "I don't know how you can be so stupid and so beautiful all at the same time. "The wife responded, "Allow me to explain. God made me beautiful so you would be attracted to me; God made me stupid so I would be attracted to you! Who Does What A man and his wife were having an argument about who should brew the coffee each morning. The wife said, "You should do it because you get up first, and then we don't have to wait as long to get our coffee. The husband said, "You are in charge of cooking around here and you should do it because that is your job, and I can just wait for my coffee." Wife replies, "No, you should do it, and besides, it is in the Bible that the man should do the coffee." Husband replies, "I can't believe that, show me." So she fetched the Bible, and opened the New Testament and showed him at the top of several pages, that it indeed says..."hebrews" The Silent Treatment A man and his wife were having some problems at home and were giving each other the silent treatment. Suddenly, the man realized that the next day, he would need his wife to wake him at 5:00 AM for an early morning business flight. Not wanting to be the first to break the silence (and LOSE), he wrote on a piece of paper, "Please wake me at 5:00 AM." He left it where he knew she would find it. The next morning, the man woke up, only to discover it was 9:00 AM and he had missed his flight. Furious, he was about to go and see why his wife hadn't wakened him, when he noticed a piece of paper by the bed. The paper said, "It is 5:00 AM. Wake up." Men are not equipped for these kinds of contests. God may have created man before woman, but there is always a rough draft before the masterpiece. Retirement Working people frequently ask retired people what they do to make their days interesting. Well, for example, the other day I went downtown and into a shop. I was only there for about 5 minutes, and when I came out, there was a cop writing out a parking ticket. I said to him, "Come on, man, how about giving a retired person a break"? He ignored me and continued writing the ticket. I called him a "Nazi." He glared at me and wrote another ticket for having worn tires. So I called him a "doughnut eating Gestapo." He finished the second ticket and put it on the windshield with the first. Then he wrote a third ticket. This went on for about 20 minutes. The more I abused him the more tickets he wrote. Personally, I didn't care. I came downtown on the bus, and the car that he was putting the tickets on had a bumper sticker that said, "Hillary in '08." I try to have a little fun each day now that I'm retired. It's important to my health.
