Gatherall s Puffin and Whale Watch 90 minute cruise will take your group to the Witless Bay Ecological Reserve, the best location to view puffins and whales! Home to 2.5 million seabirds and the most productive feeding area for several whale species, at this time of year you should also see icebergs! You continue your journey towards Clarenville for your first overnight. Tonight enjoy a mug up. St. Jude Hotel DAY 2 June 20, 2016 Port Union, NL Depart Clarenville this morning and travel to the Bonavista Peninsula and the town of Bonavista where you tour the Lighthouse at the point. You will also tour the Ryan Premises, a National Historic Site where you can view a Retail Store, Fish Store and Salt Store, formerly centre pieces of these small fishing communities. Tonight you are in the charming community of Port Union for overnight. Seaport Inn (B,L) DAY 3 June 21, 2016 Gander, NL You will visit Trinity this morning to stroll through the quiet lanes of the peaceful, historic and most picturesque village. You will also board a boat for a guided tour of a real working Mussel Farm, and learn about the growing industry of Aquaculture. Then in the afternoon you will visit Terra Nova National Park enroute to overnight accommodation in Gander, the Crossroads of the World. Sinbad s Hotel (B,L) DAY 4 June 22, 2016 Twillingate/Grand Falls, NL Today you'll travel to the coast, where true Newfoundland lifestyle and culture are found in the many fishing villages along your route to Twillingate. Lunch is included today. At the Prime Berth Fishing Centre you will learn all about Newfoundland Fishing of yesterday and
2 today. On your way to Grand Falls you stop at Boyds Cove and a visit to the Beothuk Interpretation Centre. Continue on to overnight in Grand Falls. Mount Peyton Hotel (B,L) DAY 5 June 23, 2016 Rocky Harbour, NL When you visit the Salmon Interpretation Centre today, you learn about the life cycle of the Atlantic Salmon, a very popular fish. Continuing along the Trans Canada Highway, you travel north at Deer Lake and into Gros Morne National Historic Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. From Rocky Harbour board the Norris Point Boat Cruise for a close up view of the towering cliffs found along the coast. Overnight in Rocky Harbour. Oceanview Motel (B,D) DAY 6 June 24, 2016 St. Anthony, NL Today you will travel up the Viking Trail stopping along the way to view the Arches, a natural phenomenon carved over many centuries by the sea. You will visit the National Historic Park at Port Au Choix and the museum which features the Maritime Archaic Indian History. The many interesting artifacts on display make this an intriguing site. Your journey will take you along the coastline to overnight in St. Anthony for the next two nights. Hotel North Three (B, L) DAY 7 June 25, 2016 St. Anthony, Newfoundland This morning you will visit Sir Wilfred Grenfell's former home as well as the Grenfell Mission and the Hospital named after him. In the afternoon you will visit the first European settlement in North America, L'Anse aux Meadows, the site of the Viking Village where Leif the Lucky is believed to have settled in the year 1000 AD. Across the road you also visit Norstead, where actors bring to life a working Viking Village. (B, L, D) DAY 8 June 26, 2016 L Anse Au Clair, Labrador Up early this morning to catch the ferry, across the Straits of Belle Isle to Southern Labrador. You will visit the Basque Whaling station recently discovered by archaeologists and named as a heritage site for
3 Canada. Here you will tour the site and learn about the way of life and the 11 modern techniques" used by the whalers of those long ago times. On your way back to L Anse Au Clair you visit Point Amour Lighthouse a Provincial Historic Site. Tonight you will spend in Labrador at L'Anse Au Clair. Northern Light Inn (B, L, D) DAY 9 June 27, 2016 Corner Brook, NL Today you will take the ferry back to the Island of Newfoundland and travel along the spectacular coastline to Gros Morne National Park. This afternoon you take in the spectacular scenery of Gros Morne National Park, with a stop at the Interpretation Centre for their fascinating film about the Park. Tonight you will become a member of the Royal Order of Screechers during your Dinner and Entertainment evening! Glynmill Inn (B,D) DAY 10 June 28, 2016 Sydney, NS An early morning as you board the motor coach and travel south to Port aux Basques where you board the ferry and cross to Cape Breton Island. The ferry takes 7 to 8 hours generally and features on board amenities including a cafeteria. Holiday Inn (B) DAY 11 June 29, 2016 Baddeck, NS A visit to the Fortress Louisbourg takes you back in time. Originally built by the French to protect their claim on the New World, the fort was captured twice and given back to the French forces twice in a strange political game of the day. Here a local guide tours you through the magnificent facility. In the afternoon you travel to Baddeck, home of the famous inventor, Alexander Graham Bell and here you tour a museum dedicated to his memory. Inverary Resort for 2 nights. (B,D) DAY 12 June 30, 2016 Cabot Trail/Baddeck, NS Today you tour the famous Cabot Trail, making a loop from Baddeck
4 to Cheticamp, up into the Highlands and back to Baddeck. There will be many photo stops highlights of the day, including a Picnic Lunch. (B,L) DAY 13 July 1, 2016 Charlottetown, PE Leaving Cape Breton Island via the Canso Causeway, you arrive in the community of Stellarton. Here you tour the Museum of Industry featuring exhibits showing Nova Scotia s transition from a colony of farmers and fishermen into a Province of Industry and Manufacturing. In the afternoon you board the ferry that will take you to Canada s smallest Province, Prince Edward Island, then to Charlottetown where you check into your hotel and freshen up for your evening Dinner. (B,D) DAY 14 July 2, 2016 Charlottetown, PE Today you tour Prince Edward Island with its quaint fishing villages, Cavendish, the home of Anne of Green Gables and Anne s Museum. On the beach at North Rustico you have a local artist entertain you by creating Sand Sculptures. This afternoon and evening are free for you to explore Charlottetown on your own. (B) DAY 15 July 3, 2016 Miramichi, NB A modern wonder of the world presents itself today as you prepare to cross the Confederation Bridge. First a tour of the Bridge Museum explains how all the pieces of the Bridge were built on land, transported into place by specialized equipment and bound together with a series of cables. Then as you cross the bridge the Tour Director explains the reasons for the unique shape, and how the Bridge manages the Ice Flows of the Northumberland Strait. In New Brunswick you visit Olivier Soapery where you learn the craft of making Soap and the specialty of the Olivier Soaps. As you travel north you are in the Acadian portion of New Brunswick where you also find the unique Kouchibouguac National Park. Here you ll find deep sand beaches, salt marshes, tidal rivers and tall forests. A Park Guide provides some insights on this amazing site. After time to freshen up at your hotel in Miramichi, you enjoy Dinner and lively entertainment at a recreated

Rodd Miramichi River Inn (B,D) DAY 16 July 4, 2016 Moncton, NB As you travel south you find yourself in the coastal community of Shediac, where you board a traditional fishing vessel and witness first hand the art of Lobster Fishing. Later you are given a demonstration on the best ways to crack open a Lobster just before you indulge in a Lobster feast! In the afternoon you arrive into the city of Moncton, New Brunswick. Here the Tidal Bore washes up the Petitcodiac River, created by the incredible high tides of the Bay of Fundy. At Hopewell Cape you can view the effects of this amazing tidal differential of 40 to 48 foot tides and visit the Interpretation Centre that explains some of the many aspects that both cause and effect this unique phenomenon found only here in the Bay of Fundy. Overnight in Moncton. Crowne Plaza (B,L) DAY 17 July 5, 2016 Halifax, NS Today you have a trip down memory lane as you travel towards Halifax and stop in Springhill, NS. Childhood home of Canadian Icon, Anne Murray, you visit the Anne Murray Centre. Then you continue on to the famous Maritime City of Halifax. Here a local guide will show you this great city that has an amazing history. From the Citadel high atop the city, to Pier 21, Canada s Immigration Centre until You ll see the Cemetery that has ties to the sinking of the Titanic and learn about the great Halifax Explosion! Later settle in to your hotel for a two night stay. Westin Hotel for 2 nights. (B) DAY 18 July 6, 2016 Peggy s Cove/Halifax, NS A wonderful start to your day as you travel out of Halifax to world famous Peggy s Cove and enjoy Breakfast overlooking this picture perfect location.
