Agritourism connects the public directly with Open Farm Day GUIDE SEPTEMBER 9, 0 Plan your self-guided agritourism route to participating farm destinations farmers, ranchers and market gardeners for handson agriculture experiences and farm-fresh products. Over participating host farm families are ready to welcome you at the first annual Open Farm Day on Sunday, September 9. Open Farm Day is an opportunity to learn more about farm products, see demonstrations, take walking tours and ask questions about farm life. Buy local products direct from the farmer and enjoy some recreational activities with your family. Use this guide to help plan your route to participating farm destinations. Registration is not required, just stop in. Call ahead for more information on farm activities and fees.

2 Steinbach is hosting Supper from the Field Visit Steinbach s Mennonite Heritage Village (MHV) for a Fall supper that will set the standard for all Fall suppers in southeastern Manitoba. You won t just be celebrating local foods you ll celebrate regional cuisine prepared by a team of Canadian Culinary Federation chefs and their apprentices from a variety of established eateries, schools and colleges. Supper from the Field starts Sunday, September 9 at :00 p.m., at the MHV Livery Barn Restaurant, Hwy N, (just north of Steinbach). Tickets are just $.00 per person and $.00 for persons years and under.
