Ladakh, one of the few strongholds of Tibetan Buddhist life, culture and religion, lies cradled in the heart of the Great North-Western Himalaya. Leh, the capital of Ladakh nestled in the Indus River valley, was once a trading town at the junction of the historic silk route from China and central Asia to the plains of India. Based in the town of Leh (11,500 ft. / 3505 m), the journey includes & unveils many fascinating excursions to cliff side gompas (monasteries) inhabited by peaceful Buddhist monks, pretty villages & surrounding countryside, high passes and dramatic mountain scenery.

Rest of the day you require to take a complete rest for acclimatization to the arid high altitude of Leh (3505 m) In the evening will enjoy the sunset point(shanti stupa). Overnight in Hotel Day 02: Explore Indus valley.(around 98 kms) On this day you will go a sightseeing trip to some ancient monasteries and Most popular in this area.

Shey Gompa is about 15 kms from Leh. It used to be the summer palace of the kings of Ladakh. There are lots of Stupas and Gompas built around the palace.

Thiksey Gompa, close to Shey is about 17 kms from Leh. The monastery is considered to be one of the most beautiful in Ladakh and belongs to the Gelukspa order.

3 Shey Gompa is about 15 kms from Leh. It used to be the summer palace of the kings of Ladakh. There are lots of Stupas and Gompas built around the palace. Shey palace was built by Deldan Namgyal in the beginning of 17 Th century AD. Main attraction in Shey is the 12m Shakyamuni Buddha statue inside the Dresthang Gompa. Thiksey Gompa, close to Shey is about 17 kms from Leh. The monastery is considered to be one of the most beautiful in Ladakh and belongs to the Gelukspa order. This Monastery is more than 500 year old. Hemis Monastery, about 45 kms south of Leh it is one of the most famous and largest monastery in Ladakh. It belongs to the Drukpa order and was founded in the early 17 Th century. The setting is perfect with the monastery cradled in a lovely valley, surrounded by Mountain and fronted by long Mani walls. Sindhu ghard Darshan to Holy Indus river. Amir Khan school Or 3 Idiot shoot school. Leh Place : Is build by King Sengge Namgail of Namgail Dynasty in 17 th century. The Palace is nine story high, and it overlook the leh main Market, Stok Kangri,. The upper story was earlier used by the royal family.now The palace is open for tourist The collection of jewellery, ornaments, Thangkas, ceremonial dresses, crowns, and centuries-old pieces of jewellery are kept here for public display. Overnight in Hotel. Day 03: Leh to Nubra valley Post breakfast we drive to Nubra Valley. The road journey from Leh to Nubra Valley passes over Khardung La (The Highest Motorable Road In The World) at 5,602 Mtrs / 18,390

Ft, around 39 km from Leh. From the pass, one can see all the way south over the Indus valley to seemingly endless peaks and ridges of the Zanskar range, and north to the giants of the Saser massif.

The average altitude of the valley is 10,000 Ft. above sea level. Upon arrival in Nubra we check in at our Camp / Hotel in Hunder for Overnight stay.

Nubra Valley is popularly known as Ldumra or the valley of flowers. It is situated in the north of Ladakh between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas. In the evening you can walk around the tiny villages to see how the locals live in this part of the world. A visit to a Ladakhi home can be arranged. Overnight Stay at the Camp or Hotel. Day 04:Nubra to Leh Morning after breakfast we will visit the most picturesque Disket monastery on the hill top. Later continue drive to other side of Nubra valley was the main part of silk route.we will continue our drive back to Leh via Khardongla. Reach Leh & transfer to Hotel overnight stay. Day 05: Leh to Pangong, via Chang la (pass)(5320mts) (5-6hrs), After breakfast, drive (154km/ 6 hrs) to the spectacular Changthang Valley, winding your way over the exhilarating Chang la (5320m.)- the second highest point of our journey. The landscape on the way to Pangong is just spectacular. Over night in fixed camp or guesthouse.

5 Day 06: Pangong Explore and drive back to Leh. The Lake is situated at 13,930 ft./ about 4300mts. above sea level and is 125 km long, but is only four km at its widest, and extends almost in a straight line, way to Tibet; in fact, only a quarter of the lake is in India. En route you will see some Himalayan marmots & migrated birds. Later retrace to Leh for overnight in a hotel Day 07: Drop to Airport Leave Ladakh with sweet memories.
