In Yallingup we will visit a typical Australian sheep farm. Experience life on the farm, see sheep mustering using the Australian Kelpie sheepdog, watch sheep shearing and gain interesting information and details about processing sheep wool. The region around Margaret River which is one of the most renowned wine areas of Australia, welcomes us with its relaxed atmosphere. To give you an impression of Australia s No. 1 water sport, surfing, we will then visit the popular Prevelly each. In Margaret River you have the opportunity to enjoy a wine tasting at one of the most renowned vineries. Afterwards our tour continues to Australia s most south-westerly point, Cape Leeuwin. This is the point where the Indian and Southern Ocean meet. From here the nearest landmass is Africa to the west and Antarctica to the south. We then travel along the coast of the Southern Ocean through farmland into the Karri Forest region of Pemberton. The Valley of the Giants, a section of forest appropriately named for its huge trees, is our next destination. Tree Top Walk offers an amazing bird s eye view to this window of the past. Much of the vegetation in this region is unique to the southwest of Western Australia. Via Denmark we reach Albany, Western Australia s first settlement, in the evening. Clarence overlooking King George Sound, were the first settlers landed in 1826, let you realize Albany s importance to Western Australia. We will discover the Natural ridge and The Gap in the Torndirrup National Park. The tour continues with a drive through farmland in the Stirling Range. The many different varieties of plants originating in the Stirling Range are mainly due to its insular location. This mountain range is a climatic island and the plain is typical for its dry and warm weather conditions. Late afternoon we will arrive in Hyden. Accommodation: Wave Rock Motel, Hyden Day 4 Hyden Esperance We visit the famous and astounding breakers wave the Wave Rock in the morning light while the temperature is still mild. There is enough time to explore and learn about the story of this unbelievable natural wonder. Afterwards we are headed south to meet the South Coast Highway. The nearby Fitzgerald River National Park is famous for its abundant number of different plant species (around 1,800). It was, therefore, declared a World iosphere Reserve. Closing in to Esperance in the afternoon you will enjoy the scenic Great Ocean Drive with its highlights the Rotary Lookout, the Twilight each and the Pink Lake. 3 Day 5 Esperance The name Esperance comes from the French word for hope. The local Aborigines call the region Gabba-Kyle meaning the place where the water is shaped as a boomerang. We are visiting the Cape Le Grand National Park with its scenic, turquoise bays and extended white beaches. Accommodation: Hospitality Inn, Esperance Day 6 Esperance Kalgoorlie Today we are hitting the sealed road for another 400km north leaving the Southern Ocean behind us. At Norseman starts the Eyre Highway which crosses the 1,500 km wide Nullarbor Plain towards Adelaide. Later on we will arrive at the so-called Golden Mile in Kalgoorlie-oulder. In the afternoon we cast an eye on the so-called Super Pit the biggest open-cut gold mine in Australia. Accommodation: Hospitality Inn, Kalgoorlie Day 7 Kalgoorlie - Leonora A short visit to the Kalgoorlie Museum completes our knowledge of the past of Australia s richest gold mine. You have than the opportunity to catch the adventurous atmosphere of this town on your own. Headed north we come to the old gold town of Menzies. We visit the amazing sculpture park spread out on the dry salt plains of Lake allard. Accommodation: Motor Inn, Leonora Day 8 Leonora - Geraldton Via Leinster we reach the small outback town of Sandstone. Gorgeous formations such as the London ridge provide great opportunities to take spectacular photos. Our further journey westwards leads us via Mt. Magnet and Mullewa to Geraldton. A visit to Mount Scott gives you the opportunity of an outlook over the town of Geraldton and Grey s ay. Here is also the memorial for the victims of the sunken warship HMAS Sydney II. In season our drive to the World Heritage area of Shark ay will be escorted by the famous wildflowers. Stop at Hamelin Pool where the world best known colony of stromatolites can be admired. In the late afternoon we arrive in Monkey Mia, home of the well-known dolphins. Nearly every day of the year they come to the shore to give you a unique experience that will never be forgotten. efore dinner we take a cruise on a catamaran to experience the silent sensation of sailing and capture the five star view of the coastline. In the afternoon we arrive at Kalbarri National Park where we visit the Hawks Head overlooking the picturesque Murchison Gorge. Last stop before arriving at the laid back village of Kalbarri is Meanarra Hill lookout with its magnificent view over Gantheaume ay. 4 Day 11 Kalbarri - Cervantes /D The rough and beautiful coast line is a part of the Kalbarri National Park. reathtaking views from some spectacular lookouts onto the Indian Ocean. The tour crosses farmland of the territory of the Hutt River Province. From Geraldton we drive along the coast via Leeman and Jurien ay towards Cervantes, the entrance to the Nambung National Park. Accommodation: Cervantes Edge Resort, Cervantes Day 12 Cervantes - Perth The Pinnacles are among the most visited natural wonders of the state. Thousands of limestone pillars rise out of a stark landscape of yellow sand. There is ample time to explore the area and to take some colourful photos from these amazing formations. We arrive back in Perth early afternoon when you will be transferred back to your chosen hotel where our round trip concludes. You have ample of time to sightsee this modern metropolis.
