Enchantment awaits as you travel through Cornwall, the Cotswolds, and the Lake District. Day 2: Saturday, October 8, 2016 London, England - Tour Begins Your tour opens in London, the cosmopolitan and historic capital of Britain. This evening, join your fellow travellers for a welcome dinner at a traditional English pub. (D) Day 3: Sunday, October 9, 2016 Choice of Walking Tour or Motorcoach Tour of London Today, see London your way! You may board a coach to discover the pageantry of London with a local guide: see and learn about Buckingham Palace, the Tower of London, Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, and Westminster Abbey. Or, perhaps you ll choose to get a different perspective on a walking tour: meet your local guide at your hotel and take to the streets where your guide will tell you stories of days gone by plus, stroll past Big Ben, Westminster, Whitehall, and St James s Park. Both tours see the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace (if held). Enjoy an afternoon at leisure to explore this iconic city. (B) Day 4: Monday, October 10, 2016 London - Stonehenge - Salisbury - Cornwall Bid London farewell and travel across some of England s most beautiful countryside on your way to Stonehenge. No trip to the English countryside would be complete without a visit to mysterious Stonehenge, a centre of spiritual activity since prehistoric times. Continue on to Salisbury to visit the famous Salisbury Cathedral, boasting the tallest spire in Britain. Next, arrive in Cornwall, the sunny southwest of

4 England, for a two-night stay in this breathtaking corner of England. (B, D) Day 5: Tuesday, October 11, 2016 Cornwall If you like, join a local forager on a morning expedition behind your hotel and hunt for berries, herbs and other delicacies that grow naturally here. The ingredients you find will be used in your dinner this evening! Later, set out for Penzance, making a photo stop along the way at St. Michael s Mount. Legend says St. Michael the Archangel appeared to local fishermen here in the 5th century. Upon arrival in Penzance, enjoy some free time to soak up its timeless charm. Next, we travel along a scenic coastal road to Land s End, England s most westerly point. Continue to St. Ives, a popular holiday resort town, for some time at leisure. (B, D) Day 6: Wednesday, October 12, 2016 Cornwall - Glastonbury - Bath - Great Malvern Today, visit the ruins of Glastonbury Abbey, once the richest monastic community in England and the reputed home of King Arthur. Next, stop in the ancient Roman town of Bath renowned for more than 2,000 years for its spas and natural hot springs. Visit the Roman Baths Museum to see the elaborate spas, valued since Roman times for their curative properties. Complete your day in the spa town of Great Malvern. Here, your hotel affords you magnificent views across the English countryside. (B, D) Day 7: Thursday, October 13, 2016 Cotswolds - Great Malvern Discover one of England s most magnificent homes Blenheim Palace birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill. Stroll through the picturesque village of Grasmere, once home of and inspiration to the romantic poet William Wordsworth. Sail* on one the largest lakes in the Lake District Coniston Water aboard the Victorian steam yacht Gondola. Take an afternoon break in Bowness before returning to your hotel for an evening at leisure. (B) Day 10: Sunday, October 16, 2016 Lake District - Yorkshire Dales - York Take in some of England s most breathtaking scenery as you travel through the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Stop for a visit at the Wensleydale Creamery and learn about the history of cheese making in Yorkshire. Continue on to the medieval city of York. See the famous Minster and walk on the Shambles, a quaint, narrow street that appears today almost as it did during the Middle Ages. Here you ll find great shopping and a street that is so narrow in parts that you can almost reach both sides with your outstretched arms. (B) Day 11: Monday, October 17, 2016 York - Coventry - Windsor Area Travel south this morning to the historic city of Coventry. Legend has it this is where Lady Godiva s famous ride occurred. Join a local guide for a tour of the city s medieval cathedral s haunting ruins before stepping inside and finding yourself surrounded in the splendour of its grand new cathedral. Then, have some free time for lunch or exploring the city. Your day comes to a close at Frimley Hall, a historic home converted to a hotel. Already a religious centre, it rose to fame in 1191 when it was heralded across Britain that the graves of fabled King Arthur and Queen Guinevere had been found here. A massive covering stone, buried deep in the churchyard, held an inscription that purportedly read, Here lies interred the famous King Arthur on the Isle of Avalon. Could this truly be Avalon, the mythic place where Excalibur was forged? Explore the legend for yourself amid the ruins of the great church and beautiful public park.
