2 Welcome to the 56th Annual ORINDA POOL RELAYS July 9, 2016 The members of the Orinda Park Pool Swim Team are thrilled you have joined us at one of the most fun and exciting events of the swim season. The Park Pool s Meet was first held in 1961, four years after the first All-Orinda and a month before the first-ever County meet! This meet is certainly the oldest meet of its type in the area. Only the top five teams from the previous year s Orinda-Moraga Pool Association Championship are traditionally invited to join Orinda Park Pool in this all-relay meet. We thank all of you for supporting or participating in today s meet and want to give a special thank you to Harper Casey-Housand, who will be performing a violin rendition of our National Anthem. 8 SCORING Points will be awarded for six places as follows: , except for the All Age. The scoring for this special event will be The Parents, Coaches and Family s are not scored. In order to facilitate the scoring of this year s meet with the OMPA meet manager program, if two teams have the exact same time (tie) in an event, they will each receive the average points for the place they tied for and the next lower place. AWARDS The first place team will win possession of the perpetual trophy until next year s meet. The winning team will also receive a plaque to keep. Rosette ribbons will be awarded for individual first, second and third places. Also, a Most Outstanding Boys and Girls will be chosen. The Most Outstanding Team is the team that breaks an existing record by the widest percentage margin or, if no records are broken, the relay team that comes closest to breaking a record.

9 ING Please be advised that the Orinda Police Department has been very aggressive about ticketing and towing cars. All cars must be parked in designated areas only in order to maintain emergency vehicle access to residents on El Toyonal. Shuttles and Orinda Taxi will operate throughout the meet and until 60 minutes after the last event. Park Pool Safeway Parking Shuttle Bus Stop
